  1. I am pretty good at spotting edits in an uninterupted videoclip, thanks. There were no crowd shots or change in camera angle, or anything else that indicated that the clip had been edited out of context. Watch the film before you attack the credibility. The fact is, no matter what you might think of the film as a whole, such a clip is credible. Unless, of course you have proof that it has been edited that you just haven't shared up to this point? Otherwise, it is credible until there is evidence to the contrary is presented. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
  2. If you can give me a valid reason why the clip is not credible just because moore used it, then I will find you a different source for the clip. Of course, it would be the same clip, saying the same thing, from the same White House adminastration, so what would be the point? If you just don't want to believe the evidence of the Whitehouse being caught in a lie, there is little that can be done to help. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
  3. I'm not a doctor, but considering the growing support for homeopathic remedies within the medical community leads me to believe if the list was short, everything on it would be commonly known. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
  4. I am not racist, and that reply was not intended as such. It is ironic that Hitler allowing experimentation on humans, living and dead, did in fact comprise a huge contribution to modern medicine. For example, inserting a rod inside the femur, instead of a cast on the leg, came from WWII Germany, at least according to the orthopedic surgeon who inserted mine, once upon a time. Acknowledging Hitler's contribution to medicine should in no way be considered support for Hitler's actions. But, as someone once said, about half of all bad things came from good intentions, while about half of all good thing came about with bad intention. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! 5. If you look for answers in some specific format, you will likely miss the answers altogether. Our system is not, by any stretch of the imagination, better than all others. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

  8. Tom asked for an example from past or present, and I gave him one. No one disputes that medical technology has made advances since we wiped out the native Americans. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
  9. Who said anything about reducing our healthcare to aboriginal levels? Giving everyone access to the best healthcare technology available today has absolutely nothing to do with sutting down hospitals or clinics. And healthcare was not totally unavailable to aboriginal cultures. Some of their hemeopathic remedies are superior to some of our allopathic remedies. Do you think illness and injury are new to mankind? Do you believe we are the first culture to take a serious look at healthcare? Just because we have had the benefit of hundreds of years of additional research does not mean we discovered the field. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
  10. You are missing the point. They were a nation where everyone had access to the best healthcare technology available to them. How is that anything like shutting down our hospitals, med schools and clinics? Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
  11. I think you underestimate homeopathic medicine. Allopathic medicine doesn't, itself, have such a great record. The point is, the all the people had access to the best medicine that was available to anyone in their society, or, in other words, universal healthcare. You asked for an example, I gave you one. Would you have preferred I said Cuba? Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
  12. I seem to remember some aboriginal nations that provided their people with universal healthcare, before we decimated them, anyway, to name one, from the past. There are countries today that have universal healthcare as well. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
  13. That is a bold, unsubstantiated statement. We do not have the entire "history of man" at our disposal, and perfection aside, as it is an unattainable ideal, universal healthcare was/is in fact a reality for some cultures, past and present. 14. Just because Moore used the footage does not void its credibility. Colon Powell on film at a white house podium is pretty damn credible, if you ask me. And I wouldn't expect Fox News to set aside their bias long enough to illuminate Shrub's flip-flop. Watch the film before you attack the credibility of its individual parts, or it's whole. 15. It is absurd to think that the richest nation in the world is incapable of educating and keeping healthy its entire population, IMO. (Intended in no way, form or fashion to be a personal insult.) Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
  16. Funny how the Whitehouse said at the beginning of Shrub's adminastration that Iraq did not have WMD and was not a threat to the United States. And in September of 2003, Bush said "We have no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved with the 11 September attacks." 17. First, skydiving was the first thing to go. What gear that has not been sold is for sale. Priorities. Second, not everybody has the option of the military. They don't take just anybody, and it doesn't take much of an infirmary to keep you out. I, however, did my time, but have since become ineligible for enlistment, thus the option/choice is not there. 18. Nope. Heard it in a discussion somewhere. Haven't researched it to confirm its legitamacy. That is why I said that it was something I heard. Does not change the fact that democracy does not guarantee justice. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
  19. That's funny, because I've been hearing that SH's Iraq was quite progressive in comparison to the popularly supported theocracy of Iran. For the most part, only democrats (not to be confused with Democrats) believe democracy is the greatest form of government. Plato, for example, considered a monarchy (proper rule by one) to be the most just form (that is not to say plato advocated monarchies above all other forms), but inproper rule by one to be the worst, a modern dicttatorship. He called democracy improper rule by many, as opposed to a polity, which is what he called proper rule by many. The difference between the two is whether votes are cast with society (polity) or the individual (democracy) in mind. Incidentally, democracy was only one step above a dictatorship. 20. Still, I like the cigarette packages some of my friends have brought back from Europe, which have printed in clear, black bold letters, upon a white background that takes up half the front panel of the packsge, Smoking Kills. Pretty clear, honest, and easy to understand to for even the most ignorant among us. When I smoked, I figured I was being tricky by smoking cigarettes that were only dangerous to pregnant women. 21. What exactly was he supposed to back down from? He didn't have WMD, and certainly couldn't have launched weapons (he didn't have) inside of 45 minutes. If my history class was correct, USSR actually had missiles in Cuba. There was an actual threat. JFK stood up to that threat. What threat is Shrub standing up to? Math tutoring available. 22. So I should have to choose between access to education or access to healthcare? Like I said, the sytem is broken. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
  23. Who did I blame? I merely pointed out that the current economic climate does not favor people in my position. That is a statement of fact. I am not blaming anyone. I am living with the consequences of my decision, and am fine with that. But that should in no way be construed as a refusal to work. I just have additional concerns when it comes to obtaining employment as a student. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
  24. As opposed to the Republicans, who favor corporate tax loopholes, and tax free stock dividends, so as to free corporations from paying taxes? Sounds like they want someone else to pay for everything, as well. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
  25. I must have missed the Deland analogy, but I can say for certain that SD Deland was not hit hard by any of the hurricanes, at least compared to Lake Wales. There was some structural damage that was relatively minor, and quickly repaired. The trailer park adjacent to the drop zone never even lost power, although a trampoline was, admittedly, destroyed. The threat of hurricanes was much more detrimental to the DZ than the actual hurricanes. Summer is traditionally the slow time of year for Deland, anyway. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour!
