Seriously? If you show up with a helecopter, you won't have any trouble making friends. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."

Would you move forward after this tandem?
skyjumpenfool replied to Interestedude's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
This is not a question for us to answer. The answer is within you! How bad do you want to do this. Bad enough to give it another shot? If not, go find what your looking for. If this is something you feel strongly about, I'd say get a physical and then give it another go. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky." -

Energy drink school assignment help?
skyjumpenfool replied to Timmeeh's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Bull Shit! Real men drink water or Beer. And, they drink thier water from a water fountain or kitchen faucet but never from a fricking bottle. When they drink beer, they don't care if the glass has been sanitized or the bottle has a designer fricken label. Kids today? Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky." -
Practice!!! Not all gloves are equal. Choose the right gloves.

With a coupon, the Wing’s is a great bargain. I've been extremely happy with mine. Keep in mind, it's only a good deal if it fits your needs and has the options you need. I had mine sized for a 150 Stiletto (because my next canopy will be larger, not smaller). It fits my 135 stiletto very nicely. I'd suggest you talk to the great people at Wings and see what they'd recommend. That's what I did and they were extreamly helpful. As to the downsize.... In the above scenario, you'll be able to keep jumping that 150 for many years until you’re truely ready for the downsize. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."

OK, how about this... The media over sensationalized one side of a multi-faceted story. They completely ignored what I believe to be their journalistic responsibility to investigate and print the WHOLE truth to the best of their ability. I’m so fricking naive, right? No-body is responsible for anything anymore. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."

FAA Regulations on Recording Your Own Video
skyjumpenfool replied to fade1800's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Until your attitude improves, no one in this sport is ever going to trust you. It doesn't matter how holy hot shit good you get. Experienced jumpers will see you comming from 12,500 feet away. Don't take it from me, I'm still new to this sport. Listen to the guys above with far more experience than I. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky." -
Chris, I do not know the whole story! But, what you, me, DZO's, and every skydiver boarding an aircraft need to realize is this... This shit is ending up on video! If there is anything that would appear to have the ability to draw negative attention to you, it will! This is the lesson to be learned here. As I said up thread, dot your I's and cross your T's. GoPro Mounted on the side of helmet safe?
skyjumpenfool replied to jonorato's topic in Photography and Video
Best advice I recieved when doing research for my camera helmets... "It's really hard to cut away with a broken neck! Make it as snag free as you possibly can." ... Bergie Food for thought. -
CRW chutes have SIGNIFICANTLY different recovery arc characteristics than sport mains and reserves. ...And, my guess would be, they'd be flying at the ground much faster in a downplane config. Even more reason to chop the main. Think of it this way, if you don't chop the main in a downplane, there will be NO recovery arc??? Ouch!

Double that statement!! I bought a new wings after winning a coupon at a breast cancer event. At the time, I was considering other rigs to buy but the coupon made the Wings a no-brainer. Now, I'm glad I bought the Wings! I'm updating my second rig soon, It'll be a new Wings. Their service and support are great. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."

With 5 DZ's around the Mlps. Metro area, I tend to use facebook to see where everyone is jumping on any given day. Webpages, I use for DZ specific information. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky." -
it's funny you reply that to Topdocker No shit! Obviously not directed at him. Just good advice to anyone looking to become a well rounded skydiver. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."

As stated up thread, get some CRW experience!!! You'll learn/experience how to move canopies around from bi-plane to side-by-side, side-by-side to down plane, and you can even work from down plane to side-by side. There is no replacement for experience. If I ever find myself in a two out down plane, I'll be better equipped to deal with it because I've been there, done that.

skyjumpenfool replied to baronn's topic in Instructors
Are you sure about that? I made a comfortable living at my last Dz full time and I most definitely make a good living now at my current dz, just throwing drogues and shooting video... And when you turn 62 and are looking at retirement bennifits, health insurance options, cashing in IRA's, etc, etc, will it all look the same? Although, there really is no guarantees in any business, is there? Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky." -

Mayor Hooker... "The FAA does not control, opperate or mannage the airport, the city does!" Did he really say that? This guy should have stuck to the "family" business. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
