I get that. But, since the older stiletto opened, flew, and landed beautifully, should I be concered about 1.5 inches difference in brake length? Will it open harder? Will it surge on opening? Spin? Any thoughts? One last question, does riser length/design affect brake line length? Does riser length/design affect brake line length? Here is a question for you rigger types. I just picked up a good used Stiletto 135 to replace an older Stiletto 135. When changing out the canopy, I noticed the brake lines are different in the two canopies... The length from the center of the finger trap to the toggle on the older stiletto is 14.5 inches. The same length on the newer canopy is 13 inches. I've looked at PD's line trim chart... http://performancedesigns.com/docs/linetrims/ST_089-170LT.pdf but that left me a little confused. I'm going back out to measure the rest of the lines, but maybe someone can tell me why these line lengths might be different?

Landing in snow can be trickey! Go out in the landing area and run around a bit to get use to it.

Balaclava! They work great. Another good suggestion is a good Turtleneck Shirt. Not a sweater, but a medium thickness shirt. I dress in layers... T-shirt, long sleeve T-shirt, Turtleneck, then Jumpsuit. Gloves tend to be the hardest to pin down. I use a pair of motorcycle gloves that just happen to work really well. A friend just discovered a pair of waterproof gloves designed for Ice Fishing and he swears by them. Keep in mind, I jump in Minnesota/Northern Wisconsin. We've forgotten what cold is. I don't have much opinion on the moral side of this? I just thought the reactions of the women (and, the people in the crowd around them as well) was priceless when they were reminded that "we saw your boobs". Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."

Well just selkl those old/outdated things to me then...they probably aren't safe anymore either! Yah, that green & white ParaCommander (Aviator) should fit in it. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."

RIP Jeep. You did to the Cherokee what Lucas did to Star Wars

Yup... Butt ugly! Looks like my 08 Grand Cherokee will be my last? Here in Minneapolis, with 9 months of winter, the Grand Cherokee's are the best thing since Frosted Pop-Tarts. Maybe they'll grow on you after a couple years? Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky." -

IFLY Chicago tunnel?!?!?!
skyjumpenfool replied to kawisixer01's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
We're hoping for one in the Mall of America (Minneapolis) area. The damn place has indoor rollercoasters, underground aquariums, Water parks and Lego Land. You'd think a 16' wind tunnel would be a no brainer? -

^^^ this^^^^ I switched my video production classroom over to Sony Vegas a few years ago. I couldn't be happier. Plus, the kids are teaching me new stuff everyday. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky." -

Well, I hesitate to say this, but I've been riding bikes since long before you were born. I've ridden all kinds. I have several in the garage. The sport touring bikes are what I prefer. That little ZX 11 will do 0-60 in about 2.5 seconds, pulls your head back when you hit the throttle at 130mph and it'll carve turns like nobody's business. On top of that, on long trips I'v never found a more comfortable ride (I'm talking about those 600-800 mile days in the saddle. If you prefer another bike style... it's all good. So, the fact that he was so busy filming his little skydive that he forgot (or was too occupied) to deal with a serious malfunction/problem had nothing to do with his HIDDEN small format camera? Seriously? I don't mean to sound rude, but, get your fricken head out of the sand! Yes, there are lots of issues here to be dealt with. But Flores is responsible for the large majority of these issues. It was in his power to eleminate every one of these problems. But, he was too busy hidding his little camera under his glove. Now he's facing flack for his part in this incident? That works for me!!!! Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
