Hmm? The title of your post is Progression. However, maybe you should change the title to "Skipping Progression". Not trying to be negative. Just the vibe I'm getting. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."

I just PM'd my phone number.....

Agreed. The "junk" song didn't seem to spark my interest.

Good God, who woke up the Beer Nazi's? Hey, the point is to share a beer with a fellow skydiver. If you're fixated on the "kind" of beer your drinking, you may be missing the point. I still think she owes beer for her "First" fall off a wing followed by a short trip to the ER. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."

That is something best done in person.. with those whom you are putting in a position to teach you and share the sky with you. ^^^^^^^^^^^^This^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."

Well, if your not going to get the bowling lesson, at least pay attention to the BEER lesson... 1st Jump - you buy a case of beer to share at the DZ. A License - You buy beer as above. 1st 4 way - You buy a case of beer to share. 1st 8 way - same as above 1st cutaway - Beer! 1st jump on a new rig - Beer! 1st time out of a DC-3 - That's right, Beer! 1000th jump - Beer. Every 1st for the rest of your life - BEER!!!! 1st time you fall off a plane and break a leg - You need to buy beer and it should come in a green bottle. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
-
Um... You've made your first fall. Now, if you want to make your first jump with a cast on your leg, we can probably get you a low "CAST" number. Edited to add... but, keep in mind, there will be beer to pay. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."

It's kinda weird...lots of stuff I remember from my youth. A huge variety of things they took interest in as 'empty nesters' ...the were old school and didn't throw much of anything out - might have a use 'someday'. Tons of my old parachute gear I'd forgotten about, Kinda of a time capsule for a baby boomer. My Dad worked for the Rail Road and got transfered around a lot. The Company would send in movers to pack, label, load and move everything. When we were going thru his stuff, there were two boxes that were packed in 1969 that were never opened again. They went to Minneapolis, Superior, back to Minneapolis, then to Fond du Lac. Every time he moved, they just got tossed on the truck.

Looks like my Sabre 135 sold in the classifieds... "I will to arrange for the pick-up and will you let my pick-up agent to come to you house for the pick up? Because i don't want you to worry yourself about the shipment." Sure hope the deal goes smoothly.

Not sure if it's a skydive, but, I suspect the "bowling" speech will follow..... Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."

I remember back in Jr. High school wanting a new pair of boots and skis. The ones I had were leather and the new "plastic" boots were out. I told my dad my desire to update my equiptment and he asked me why? I explained about the "new" equiptment. His response... "Some day they'll make a ski boot with a strap that attaches to your ass! And, you'll want a pair of those too. .... I miss my Dad.

I have both vinyl and CD. My vinyl is pretty scratchy from over use. So, tonight I'll have to suffer thru the Digital version. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."

That is the measurement I used. It's 1 1/2" short. I'm not a swooper! I have enough vises, thank you very much. OK. I got 2 jumps on it before the plane started breaking thru the ice on the runway today. Jump 1. Tossed the PC. Nice soft opening shock. As the end cells inflated, the canopy started turning hard to the right. I tried to keep it flying straight with harness input but it turned 540 degrees before the turn stopped. I had my hand on the L Rear riser, but it was flying straight before I needed to apply input. Visual canopy check. Check and collapse slider. then, when I released the brakes, it did another hard 90 degree turn before flying straight. At this point, I took a quick peak at my handles... just in case.

1978 Schwinn Spirit. From a skydivers garage sale for $5. I had to true the wheels and put on new tires, but it's been going strong now for 8 years...

Not to worry... if she reads this forum, you no longer have a girlfriend to worry about. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."

Glad you cleared that up. I was looking at your posting history to see if you were serious or not, and now I can stop. I didn't have the nerve to let that first post stew for very long.

OK. The truth is she has no desire to jump and she wouldn't listen to me if I did try to tell her something. The absoulute truth is I know better than to even try to "Tell" her something. ...And, she's glad when I leave for the DZ. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."

I do not allow my wife to jump! So, she doesn't. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."

The last time I bought a used bike from a dealer, we haggled for an hour over price until I walked out the door. The manager stopped me in the parking lot as I was leaving. "Hey, Mr. Livieri, come on back inside. We can give you the bike at your price." I was very pleased because it really was a good deal. Come time to write the check, I looked at the numbers and they were off? So I asked, "why is this final price $450 higher than what we talked about?" The sales guy said, "No, that's correct, we added tax, license, dealer prep, Parts, ect. and this is the total." I said, "Parts? What parts? The sales man replied, $300.00 for tires. Those are new tires we put on it. We charge for new tires, those things aren't free. I said, "Those tires were on the bike when we agreed on the price, the plates are still good, and since when do dealers charge $150 for dealer prep on used bikes?" and I started towards the door. Again, the manager stopped me in the parking lot and we got things squared away. As much as I wanted to leave, I also wanted the bike. I now avoid doing business with that dealership! I transfered the newer canopy to the same risers. So, the risers are the same ones. I'll check the length of the upper steering line and go from there. Thanks Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
