Did anyone hear Galen Cook's latest on Coast to Coast a few weeks back? Anything new? I know he thinks some Cooper loot may be in a safe deposit box which Gosset had in Canada. Did anyone see the TV show that Jo thinks tapped plot material from this forum? Any substance to her claim? What Bout Braden? He sure looked like a promising suspect. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

(R)STEERING LINE BROKE TODAY,,WHAT WOULD YOU DO.

I agree with the majority who say you did the right thing. You had a main controllability problem, you cut away above your hard deck, you landed safely. End of discussion. Once you have done a successful cutaway it gives you a big boost in confidence. You know you can handle the stress. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Cooper knew he was in SAGE country, but he had a plan. The lav session was really Cooper doing ECM. There is a lot of 28 VDC current available on the 727-100 series and easily accessed by removing panels in the lav. Big electrical arcs create powerful broadbanded RF signals from VLF through X band. The planes wiring system served as the antenna. Cooper had the system manuals and carefully picked which lines he tapped for his arcs and put a big current limiting resistor in line with his welding stick so as to not pop a circuit breaker. No wonder the radar records of the flight track were so spotty. Cooper used Marconi's 1897 spark transmitter to beat the USAF's best contemporary electronic technology. Duane had Boeing schematics, was an EE (prison trained through NCS correspondence school) and a certified arc welder. He was also a "ranger" of some sort. Duane also hung with the Rat Pack in Vegas. Sinatra's Strangers in the Night was really an inside joke referring to Duane's Norjack caper. Frank would sometimes drop the "s" on both ends of "strangers" when singing to the Mafia. They all knew what he meant and got a big kick out of it. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

I was literally laughing out loud Farflung. Well done. I can weld and I can jump. My welds are pretty ugly but who is gonna inspect them on a remote jump-in repair assignment? Sounds like a great job. Where do I sign up? 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

James Bond had nothing on Duane Weber, but the kickback pressure shutoff would prevent you from using a gas hose as a flame sprayer. Maybe if you are outside of certain air quality control districts the pumps would not have this restrictive feature. or... this could be set in a period before air quality control measures were instituted at gas stations. Who would you cast in Duane's role? Catherine Zeta Jones wants to be Jo, that's what she is calling you about. She is even willing to go blonde if you'll cast her. Move aside old Hollywood. Snowmman Industries has entered the building. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

The USAF Special Operations Command (AFSOC) is poised to accept the first of ten Polish built PZL M-28 Skytrucks (licence built An-28) for the covert insertion of small teams of Special Forces. http://www.globalaviationresource.com/reports/2009/m28.php Seems to be a fleet of military special ops aircraft that are not the normal type such as C 130 Hercs. Little Polish turboprops hauling US Special Forces? Hmmm... I wonder where these will be used. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Ah..yes, OK. I had assumed because Cooper did it first the scenario was unlikely..but your sketch is a perfectly reasonable chain of events. I really like that kind of thinking out of the box. That kind of scenario could be written into an interesting crime fiction book. Good job. I wonder if defense lawyers have considered it. "ladies and gentlemen of the jury: the evidence will show that a week before the crime, my client was drinking and boasting at his favorite bar seated next to a gentlemen who bore a surprising resemblance to himself... 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Indeed I would. I'd sign up immediately. Jo must get tired of performing before such an unappreciative and jaded audience as she finds here on dropzone.com. There are many thousands of Coast to Coast listeners who are pre qualified for believing far out conspiracy theories, things dematerializing (POOF), FBI malfeasance and assasination coverups. Jo will be preaching to the choir so to speak. Maybe, just maybe, Jo's appearance on Coast to Coast would bring someone with relevant information out of the woodwork, just like it did for Galen Cook when Gossett's son called in. Why not expose the Duane was Cooper theory to a far wider and far more receptive audience Jo? You have beaten your head against this forum wall of harsh critics for years. You don't have to leave here, but you can expand into far greener pastures. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

POOF? POOF is the new "the dog ate my homework." photo of inmate smokejumpers: POOF Duane's suspicious airline ticket: POOF Evidence that Duane jumped: POOF Etc. Etc. Promises PROOF. Delivers POOF. Seriously Jo. Go on Coast to Coast. Your appearance may stir up someone who can put Duane in a chute or connect him to Boeing 727 airdrop tests. What have you got to lose? You'd reach a huge audience and they'd warmly receive your complaints about FBI misbehavior. Don't let Galen steal the show. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Catherine Zeta Jones IS trying to call you. Pick up the phone Snow. I tried finding an audio file of Galen Cook's recent Coast to Coast appearance, but you have to pay to join their Coast to Coast AM group before you can download. I just can't stomach funding such moronic broadcasts. It will probably show up free on You Tube eventually. Their index of past shows is actually pretty funny: UFOs, EMP attacks, cold fusion, numerologically based doomsday topics, etc. etc. I just can't suspend my belief in physics enough to really enjoy the ride. I had a girlfriend in college who was a free spirited liberal arts major. She was far less constrained by science than I was. She tought it a shame that I couldn't find the hope and joy that she did in thinking about cars that run on water, anti gravity aircraft that could levivtate, etc. I think the Maharishi figured how to make money off people of similar mind, who thought they could levivtate if given the right training, mantras etc. Hey, if levitation really worked do ya think notoriously cheap skydivers would still pay money to jump? No way. End of subject. I cannot, however, prove that human levitation is impossible, therefore it exists. The FBI has refused to investigate it adding yet further proof. Sorry, Orange, I just couldn't resist. Have we given up on Braden? I thought he looked pretty promising. Hope Bruce is doing OK. I miss him on the forum. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. I wish Galen Cook had chosen a more orthodox forum. Coast to Coast is UFO-govt conspiracy central. I'll see if I can find an audio file. Cook isn't a nut case at all, but when you appear on Coast to Coast you get baked into the fruitcake. Orange, you are right. Jo has sidetracked us once again. I'll get back on the main rails. On McCoy being a novice parachutist... Sometimes you see newbies who in 30 jumps are as good as others with a hundred or more. These prodigies are often pilots and almost immediately "get it" about altitude awareness, body stability and canopy control. We have a guy like that at our local DZ. He flies in a jet acro team (L 39s). He is now a highly experienced jumper/instructor, but he went up the learning curve waaay faster than most. I have a feeling McCoy was cut from similar cloth. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Darn. I thought the T Bows were really something special. Go easy on us old timers. Let us keep the memories even if they are based on falsehoods. Sounds like something that cult leader con artist Werner Erhard (EST) would have said. Jo is a cult leader of sorts. She has amazing powers of persuasion. I point to the exhumation and examination of a long dead dog by eager volunteers as irrefutable proof. She is hinting more strongly than ever that Georger is part of the Cooper coverup conspiracy. An enemy of a cult can be in great personal danger. Be careful out there G. 377 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Makes sense to me. Put convicted felons serving time next to LBJ. If they were involved in the JFK killing maybe they'd be given front row seats as friends of the speaker. Crashing the Obama party was nothing compared to what happened at the 66 American Legion convention. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

which proves beyond any doubt that the FBI knew Duane was Dan Cooper and that the bureau was actively covering up that fact on the interest of national security. OK. Case closed. Seems like every armament the US sells in that part of the Middle East ends up shooting back at us eventually. Better Cessna 208s than the TGrumman F 14s we sold Iran back in the day. The US is so afraid that critical spares from retired USN F 14s will find their way back to Iran that they are crushing some of them instead of mothballing the aircraft http://www.airforcetimes.com/news/2007/07/ap_f14_070702air/ What do you think about Georger's musings that Cooper and McCoy might have known each other? I didnt share Georger's opinion of the National Geo show on Cooper or Toms performance in the show, but I am too immersed in the Cooper forum madness to have an impartial view. McCoy was a skydiver and a pilot and used those skills in his successful 727 hijack jump. It doesnt prove that Cooper shared those skills but it does show that those skills helped. If McCoy knew Cooper would he have made any remarks about the caper at all? Wasnt it a remark about how much ransom Cooper should have asked for ($500,000) that became McCoys undoing? 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. My experience with a landing on a 26 Navy conical reserve was that it was a far softer landing than I ever had on a 28 ft C9 military round canopy. Others at my DZ had similar experiences with their Navy conicals. Sure a LoPo might be better if you want a round reserve, but the Navy coni was a good reserve canopy. Personally, if I wete going to jump a round reserve these days it would have to be one that was diaper deployed. The last thing you need is an inversion malfunction on your reserve. I was jumping a 1950s Navy conical in the 1970s. That canopy (which I still have) is now over half a century old. It might be tough to find riggers who would sign off on such an aged canopy. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Security had a Thunderbow team. I think Roy Starbird was one of the members. He jumped a T Bow for a while at the Cal Club DZ at Livermore. I thougt it was a mega cool looking canopy, but next to my tired old C9 cheapo, anything was cool. I liked delta winged planes like the F 106 and the B 58. The T Bow had that look, I wonder how the Thunderbow got its name? Anyone know? 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
