how bizarre. The combined stool and periscope is patented in 1977 the collapsible periscope in 1980. Both pre-Cooper! And he revisits it for the obama inauguration Who would patent a combined stool and periscope in 1977? It looks like it needs a toilet paper holder. Tosaw's patents are not utility patents but rather design patents. Design patents are worthless for protecting any functional novelty. Design patents only protect the visual appearance. Super easy to avoid ingringment, just change the looks. Maybe Tosaw didn't care. He was the go-to guy to find missing heirs. It was more of an investigative agency than a law office, but Tosaw was well regarded by other lawyers. He found a lucrative and useful niche. His status as a retired FBI SA gave him tons of credibility as a skilled locator of missing persons. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

You probably wrote for Joey Bishop. All this time I thought Bishop was an intellectual comedian he was just reading your scripts. Another icon tarnished by a cruel application of reality. Snow, You've been on dropzone long enough to know that asking a jumper to LAND in a jumpable plane with an open door is asking an awful lot, but I guess if the pay was good and I got to hang out and talk planes with Travolta I'd do it. Travolta and I are are huge fans of the Lockheed Constellation. He actually owned one for a while. It was an ex budworm sprayer saving the Canadian forests from infestation. I saw it fly into the airport at Santa Barbara on its ferry flight from Canada. It was a mess. It had windows crudely broken out to accomodate pipes leading to wing mounted bolt on spray bars. He sold it when his career tanked. When he made his comeback he bought a Boeing 707 and still owns and flies it. I'll bet someone could write a sellable screenplay about Cooper. It has all the right ingredients. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Fuck Quentin Tarantino, ungrateful bastard. I am boycotting his movies, or buying pirate DVDs instead and ripping copies for all my friends. A jumper would never have treated you like that Snowmman, not after you showed so much Icelandic party love. You'd be repaid, perhaps not as spectacularly, but you definitely would have been introduced to some party hearty DZ girls. They drink like Icelandic girls but jump the next morning. Skydiving is well known as the best cure for a hangover. So who would make the perfect Cooper movie? Tarantino was a great choice but the selfish bastard is just a taker. I'd sugest Roman Polanski, an extraordinary film director, but as the father of a teenage girl I have to put him on my shit list too. I actually hope he is extradited and serves time in the US. In prison, child molesters are at the bottom of the pecking order...figuratively speaking. Travolta should be in the movie, just beacuse he likes aviation so much. His cult stuff is wacky but he is reported to be a nice guy off the set and out of the "church." He is type rated in a 747 so getting qualified to fly a leased 727 sholdnt be a big problem. Travolta as Rat, would that work? Who will be Tina? Flo? Cooper? Cast your cast vote. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

PRO: Cooper (Weber), Ranger trained. No capture, loss of only $5800 out of $200,000. SEMI PRO: McCoy, loss of $499,970 out of $500,000, prison and eventually death. PRO: $5000 paid by Elliot Spitzer to Emperor's Club "hostess" Ashley Dupre'. SEMI PRO: $24,000,000 in prenup amendment concessions and still climbing, offered by Tiger Woods to his wife as compensation for his "transgressions" with female companions who were not professional sex workers. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Tell us more about your experiences with Icelandic culture Snowmman. I reread that Harpers article about Iceland that Orange posted the link to. If their economy is that screwed you really should go there for a visit. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Just you and me Orange. Everyone else is hiding behind an alias picture. Jo has a spliced double alias (Duane is Cooper is Duane yin yang) picture. If she did that herself I am rejecting all further claims as to her being "just a dumb blonde who doesnt understand computers." She probably writes code and has hacked dropzone.com. How's Baby O doing? Have you taken her to a DZ yet? 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Well, sort of... at least according to Jerry's thinking: Cooper's first drop was from a 727. The next was from a tree and he may have already been dead on the second drop. Is that BASE? If there arent a lot of frivolous lawsuits in SA what do all the lawyers there do? Actual work? I read some more about the English Electric Lightning jets in SA at Thunder City. I bet you could go suborbital in those twin jet monsters with just some small booster rockets attached. I wonder how they stay in business at about US $25,000 for a forty minute flight. I bet they burn half that cost in fuel if they use the afterburners for any significant portion of the flight. Keeping a complex old Mach 2 plane like that airworthy is no small task. They have mini turbines that burn a highly specialized fuel (AVPIN, Iso Propyl Nitrate). The turbines are used as starter motors for the main propulsion jet engines. Finding reliable supplies of AVPIN is itself a major task. http://www.rhodesianforces.org/No1sqnavpin.html 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

The economy is so bad that skyjackers just ask for a second bag of peanuts. The economy is so bad that I got a pre-declined credit card in the mail. It's so bad, I ordered a burger at McDonalds and the kid behind the counter asked, "Can you afford fries with that?" The economy is so bad that CEO's are now playing miniature golf. The economy is so bad if the bank returns your check marked "Insufficient Funds," you call them and ask if they meant you or them. The economy is so bad Obama met with three small businesses to discuss the Stimulus Package: GE, Pfizer, and Citigroup. The economy is so bad parents in Beverly Hills fired their nannies and learned their children's names. The economy is so bad the Mafia is laying off judges. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Unusual domestic interceptor role for F 111s which were really more tactical bombers than fighters. As I recall a C 130 Herc with no air search radar did better intercepting Cooper's plane than the two SAGE datalink equipped F 106s did. I watched the National Geographic Cooper special again last night. I was in a really good mood. Even Tom's propeller snag theory for upstream transport of the money sounded very reasonable. So did Agent H's claims about Cooper obviously being a hardened criminal. Too bad Duane as Cooper wasn't part of the presentation. I would have gone for that too. What happened to the tie pollen analysis? It looked so "scientific" what with all that SEM hardware and images. Tom also postulated that Cooper's body was washed out to sea in a few days. That also sounded plausible. Maybe I am getting brainwashed. Could there be subliminal messages on the video? After all it is a matter of national security to hide Cooper's real identity which is well known to Jo Weber and to the FBI. I'd better destroy the DVD and get some deprogramming help right away. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

How do you find this stuff Sluggo? Did Snow give you the password to the "Friends of Sergei" Google search site? Might have nothing to do with parachuting or BuDop. Might have been to preserve a copy of the SOF classified ads. There were real killers for hire in there before the lawsuit made the editors clean it up. Duane was running in dangerous circles. Maybe he wanted someone "taken care of." I am "thinking outside of the box", as you requested. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

I didnt know that Sluggo. How did you find out and what significance does it have? Should my dashboard statue have Tina in an NWA outfit or something more saintly? As I recall NWA was considerably more modest in their flight attendant outfit design than PSA's "skytramp" theme. I may try to register the trademarks SKYTRAMP and HOT SAINT if Snowmman Industries has not already taken them. I am definitely not implying that Tina was a tramp. I hold her in high esteem. Tina would not have gone for Tiger Woods after he was married. I am certain of that. Not my Tina, no way. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Who needs translation? Felonious intent can be established by tone of voice under the Patriot Act if the speaker is conversing in an Arabic dialect. Customer service call center technology research is trying to quantify customer-on-hold anger by analysing syllabic rate, voice frequency modulation extremes, volume, latency in responding to canned questions, etc. The idea is to move the angriest customers up to the front of the line in the customer-on-hold que. Snowmman Industries has no customer service hotline. If you complain you are no longer a customer. SI has stuff that their customers desperately need to reorder. There is no such thing as sufficient ammunition or a lifetime supply of heat seeking missiles. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

They can't capture Bin Laden so they take some hot dog vendor who is already in custody and turn him into the new Bin Laden. Makes sense to me. You are in rare form today Snow. Schlitz was not the only one grinning. How does a non Catholic nominate a person for sainthood? Is there a Vatican website or something? I mean how long are they going to ignore Tina's miracle? Cooper literally vanished. Tina did it and then went into a cloistered nunnery. Lesser miracles and devotion have resulted in beatification and cannonization. I am going to make a Tina dashboard statue. She will become the patron saint of jumpers. You heard it first on dropzone.com. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Agent H said, on TV, that Cooper used foul language aboard the NWA 727. There appears to be no evidence to back up his statement. Why did he say it? Was he trying to mislead? Just seemed odd. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

OK Jo. Show me proof of convicts/prisoners receiving jump training. No Poof. PROOF. You said: "You are wrong.". Prove I am wrong. You can't maintain proficiency as a jumper without regular jumping. The occassional "meetings" you refer to would not suffice. How often did Duane jump? Where? Whose aircraft? Put Duane in a chute. Simple request but guaranteed to produce dodges, excuses, expressions of fear, teases etc. I am glad that we had Ultra Rangers to do the jobs nobody else wanted to do. Real Rangers lusted for tough assignments. They didn't like cleaning latrines. Duane was a patriot hero. The FBI knows it. It pains them to suppress the truth but they have no choice. Have some sympathy for them Jo. Keeping you in the dark is essential. National security is at stake. They mean you no harm. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. When some jerk Quincy cops brutally beat some WFFC jumpers there was talk of similar airborne revenge, but cooler heads prevailed. We just moved the event to Rantoul after getting agreement from the town officials that the Rantoul DZ would be treated as a sovereign nation. Here is a far better solution: http://www.historynet.com/top-secret-wwii-bat-and-bird-bomber-program.htm New bumper sticker: "Friend of Duane, 1 step program". 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. There is actually an oversupply of Duane Webers, thousands of them. It is the Jo Webers that are in short supply. Whether that is a problem or blessing is open to debate. Without a Jo, a Duane Weber is of no material significance. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Without a doubt he was, at least in the eyes of the woman who loved him. The reality was just too hard to take: a petty con man who wasn't even good enough at his wicked craft to elude arrest or conviction for any length of time. In death he became exalted. This required elaborate constructs. The incompetent petty crook wasn't really jailed for bad acts. Au contrare. He was one of the super elite Ultra Rangers, a group so dangerous that he and his cohorts had to be kenneled in the toughest prisons. They passed time incarcerated, awaiting the call of duty which would result in an instant "furlough", whether it be to a Legionnaires convention to protect the President, to Viet Nam for some extreme HALO ops or to Cape Canaveral where they flew moon missions for the photogenic Astronauts who stayed in secret bunkers until their stunt double Ultra Rangers returned. Duane knew all the radio comms released to the public by NASA were pre recorded by the fake Astronauts who were in the bunkers, so he felt free to say whatever he wanted to when conversing with mission contol at Houston. Several amateur radio operators using parabolic dishes aimed at the moon heard the real comms: "One small step for man, one giant step for the world's biggest jock carrier." Duane was really a military Mother Theresa of sorts, dedicating his life to selfless acts of combat charity to protect the meek and helpless. Although Ultra Rangers performed many acts of heroism, no medals were ever awarded nor can any records be found of their elite service exploits. They did their very best to prevent the killings of JFK, RFK and MLK, but the murderous "powers that be" had their wicked way. These failed protection missions soured some of the Ultra rangers and they refused to report back to prison after being recalled. These Rogue Rangers turned to crime and there was no stopping them. Even when caught, they were released as they knew too much and the disclosure of their secrets could topple the government overnight. So tip your hat to Duane Weber, a modern day Superman. He served his country with honor and distinction knowing that the official records would show him only as a common criminal. The FBI is just doing their job in covering up the truth. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Yeah, I remember that stuff. Murder for hire in SOF, for real. I thought they were all couch potato cammo types who read and advertised in that mag, but I guessed wrong. You could get people killed and pretty cheap too. They really screwed up the market for professional hits. I was going to compliment G on one of his recent posts but I am still locked out of his PM box. Oh well. Orange, you can ignore Snowmman's moratorium on hiring. There is a seat belt on his C 123K with your name embroidered on it. The idea of convicts being furloughed from MO state prisons for Ranger training and then jumping in top secret special HALO ops is very imaginative and entirely absurd. The Rangers are very active on the Internet. They delight in personally confronting and "educating" (beating up?) people making fake Ranger claims. They can't hurt Duane now though. Duane never claimed any link to the Rangers, Jo did it on his behalf posthumously. They wouldn't beat Jo up, so no worries there. "Worlds Biggest Jock Carrier" as a CB handle? I listened to CB a lot back in the day. I NEVER heard a handle that long or that obscure. They were always short. Ones I recall: Coathanger Wolfman Sneaky Pete Shark Bait Cyclops Ghost Rider My next door neighbor in the early 60s was Bazooka. We could hear him on our TV set when he fired up his linear amp to work skip. "this here Bazooooooka has you right in the cross hairs Mr Moonshine, come on back to the Big Bazooka out here in Caly For Nai Aaay, 10-4? Mr Moooooonshine, you gotta copy on the this here Big Bad Bazooka?" Bazooka was a diabetic morbidly obese unemployed gentleman and CB was his world. In real life he was kind of a sad case but on CB he was a major dude. I liked him. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
