http://www.flightglobal.com/articles/2009/11/18/335185/tributes-paid-to-thunder-city-pilot-killed-in-lightning-crash.html So much for my Lightning flight fantasy. Poor guy. He radioed that he was having hydraulic problems, diverted from the crowded airshow area, then reported that his ejection system was not responding. For around $30,000 you can ride in a surplus F 104 Starfighter in Fla. I think I'll stick to planes that can be exited from more easily. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Is Duane a dwarf or a smurf Cooper? How does one rise above Jo contamination? Where did I go astray? 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

NPR and Ira Flato don't investigate guests' politics before selecting them. It's all about science. My kid was interviewed by Ira Flato on Science Friday. His stance on guns was irrelevant. Let's see if Neil can be enticed to look at Cooper. It is a hell of a mystery. Physical and social science may hold the key. We sure don't. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. My experience with Galen was good, no teases and an open mind. He is personally sure he has the right Cooper suspect but is very open about needing more evidence to convert a hunch into a certainty. He is seeking Cooper $20s. I doubt if he has found one. That would result in an immediate press conference. Sluggo, I think the C to C forum tarnishes Galen, but not as much as you do. A loonie audience doesn't mean the speaker is loonie. Gosset's various confidential confessions make me skeptical. I think the real Cooper would keep his mouth shut. Gosset's ties to Ft. Lewis and his military jump training are intriguing. His resemblance to the sketch is quite strong. He has serious money problems in 71. None of those facts prove he was Cooper though. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

WOW! I am impressed. It's not like a loaded Cessna can just goose the power and close a gap in a second like the Blue Angels or T Birds do. I was in a multi Cessna jump at Taft long long ago and you'd have needed a real wide angle lens to get the (three?) planes in one photo. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. g de 377 gud joke om hi hi 73 Hey, while we are debating statistics and causal links etc, why are such a large percentage of the DBC male posters licensed amateur radio ops? I can hear ZSs but they cant hear me with my 100 watts and a wire dipole. I need a Snowbbeam. He can smoke flying crows at 200 yards on the main lobe. 1/r*2 means nothing when you are running Snowppower. His dogs chase the smoking crows til they crash. They get all excited when he keys up and they see the lights dim. Saves a lot on dog food. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

No, actually I didn't, but we get pretty isolated here in the DBC cave ever since Bruce, our link to the world above, took leave. Who decides what is serious research and what isn't? When I first saw Tom's SEM images I said now THAT'S serious. Then he started talking about the propeller snag and I am thinking: "can he really be serious?" I do hope there is serious Cooper research going on. I know there is serious (well funded) Amelia Earhart research going on. I predict her plane will be found and Cooper's ID will be discovered both in my lifetime. Like I said, I am an incurable optimist. Seriously. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Snow must have noticed Saskia who posted here about ten pages ago. She is from the Netherlands. Snow you gotta take those ADD meds every day so you can stay focused on one country for more than a fleeting moment. You have 493 more research subjects waiting in Iceland. You owe it to science to finish this work. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Cant wait to see a video. The South Africans really do a lot of historic aircraft preservation. They have a non airworthy Lockheed 1649 Starliner Connie in immaculate condition and until a few years ago maintained a Shackleton in flying condition. I have heard that it might still fly once in a while. If I win the lottery I am going to visit SA, jump with Orange and take a ride in a Thunder City Lightning jet. I think somewhere in SA there is a DC 6 and DC 4 that can be chartered. So much to do and see down there. One of my coworkers is from SA and just recently returned for a visit. She described a very dangerous place, full of violent crime and fear, but I am sure there are differing opinions from those who live there full time. Flew in the local wind tunnel two nights ago. They get a few drop in spectators. A little kid about 3 years old had her face plastered against the glass. I dont think she understood that I and my mates were flying on high velocity air. She had that wide eyed look of childhood wonder and complete amazement. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

So true G. The 20 year son of a high tech Silicon Valley CEO was just killed in a bank robbery attempt in Redding CA. "Friends of Brandon Reuter seemed mystified by the turn of events. When he graduated from Los Gatos High School in 2007, he received an award for academic excellence. But police reports and court records tell the tale of a life that gradually spun out of control since he entered his freshman year at the University of Colorado at Boulder." 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Unless Geoff did come up with something new, the book would be a real ho humm rehash and unlikely to interest a publisher. I eagerly await its release. I am such an incurable optimist. I am just as eager about Galen's book. I think he is delaying it until he exhausts all possibilities of finding those cached twenties that Gossett supposedly put in a safe deposit box in Canada. The box would have to be pretty big by my calcs which makes it less likely. I think the next book needs to be HOAXJACK, the story of how an NWA crew faked the greatest hijack of all time. People like that stuff. Look at how many people believe that the Apollo moon landings were faked. Snow, take a break from your research in Iceland and task your stable of Russian novelists with creating a plot storyboard. Quentin Tarantino will really regret treating you badly when this goes to the big screen and tops his best box office gross. There was a Cooper, but he was dropped far from the Washougal. The fake report of the pressure bump made it so easy to mislead the FBI. Cooper was dropped, but much later over a pre arranged LZ in Nevada with a well prepared accomplice waiting below. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Some would subsitute an "a" for the "o" in crop when describing this forum, but I still like it. It is a virtual bar without the ability for a pissed off patron to smash your face with a shot glass. If Georger, Snow, Sluggo, Jerry, Orange, Jo and the rest of the DBC gang are going to be in a bar together it NEEDS to be virtual. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. G, Isn't Mountain Dew like 101% caffeine? That could explain some of your more heated posts in the past. How about some soothing tea, like Chamomile? I also think cattle mutilations and crop circles are done by people, but a few of the crop circles must have been done by very clever people who left no visible ingress egress evidence around the crop circle perimeter. I bet you or Snow could figure out how to do them. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

It was probably just SI testing out a new eye catching advertsing technique. The next shot will modulate the spiral exhaust trail to produce sky images. Russian rockets are cheap and Snowmman Industries has found a new use for them. Space age skywriting. Snowmman is currently on location in Iceland doing research for his latest anthropological study. It seeks to replicate this federally funded US study and determine whether a severely depressed economy changes outcomes: 33. Study on "Hookup" Behavior of Female College Coeds ($219,000) The National Institute of Health (NIH) is using stimulus funds to pay for a year-long $219,000 study to follow female college students for a year to determine whether young women are more likely to hookup — the college equivalent of casual sex — after drinking. Researchers will recruit 500 female students prior to their first year of college and contact them monthly over the course of a year to document sexual hookups, noting when there is alcohol involved. It is part of the $7.4 billion the NIH received in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to support scientific research Snowmman's study in Iceland will not cost the federal government one penny. He will be doing most of the research work himself. He said that his "direct observation" study of 500 intoxicated Icelandic women will be far more reliable than the US one which relies on self reporting of potentially embarrassing conduct by college aged female study particpants. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. This is off topic but it involves the sky. Look at the shots of the astounding spiral aurora seen by many observers in Norway: http://spaceweather.com/ The HARP conspiracy nuts are going to have a field day as well the doomsday LARGE HADRON COLLIDER folks. Image attached. It looks fake as hell but reportedly was seen by thousands. LATE NEWS: Evidence is mounting that the phenomenon was caused by a malfunctioning suborbital rocket, possibly a Bulava ICBM launched from a Russian submarine in the White Sea. A Navtex no-fly alert was issued for the White Sea on Dec. 9th, and photographers have recorded what appears to be the initial boost phase of a launch beneath the spiral (see inset). A rocket motor spinning out of control could indeed explain the spiral pattern, as shown in this video of a Trident II missile launched from a US submarine in 2007. never mind... 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Now THAT is really thinking out of the box Orange! Could it be that Duane was actually a very good detective and figured out who Cooper really was or at least was sure that he had? The Utah LDS stuff G wrote is thought provoking. The JC Penny Belgium stuff Snow found could bring in the Dan Cooper comics part too. The tie and clip may be items of great significance. Thanks for the water landing stats explanation G, very well written and informative. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Do you mean LDS? Was LFD a typo? What would the "LDS acceptable" hijack justification be? Give us a theoretical example. Oh, and being a cattle person and scientist what is your take on the Fazios cattle mutilations? Natural causes? Predators? Something else? 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Yes and thanks. Here's another link. Public knowldge. http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art23490.asp Sounds like Tosaw had the "treasure hunting" bug. His sought treasure wasn't money but rather items of historical interest to him. You see guys like him scanning parks with metal detectors and they seem really happy when they find a quarter with their $2500 magnetometer. It is the quest and the excitement of a possible significant find that gives them the pleasure. They don't care about profit and loss. Tosaw spent a lot of money trying to find Cooper, didnt find him but didn't seem to be full of regret. His underwater searches evidenced a huge degree of personal optimism. I mean what were the chances he'd actually find Cooper or more NORJACK loot? Infintesimal, yet he made the costly effort anyway. The article G linked said: "Tosaw later transferred to Creighton University, earning his bachelor's degree, then got his law degree at Denver University Law School in December 1950. " The State Bar of CA shows both his undergrad and JD degrees from Denver University, nothing about a Creighton BA. Orange, Baby O is definitely a Sky Baby. The early signs are unmistakable. Just think, in about 17 years she will look at your now current rig hanging in the garage and say: "Mom, I just can't believe you jumped that junk back in the day." She will have just purchased a liquid helium vaporizer for her highly pressurized semi rigid deployable inflatable reinforced mylar canopy. It will happen sooner than you think possible. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

A river drowning gives the best explanation for Coopers disappearance, but didn't G present a reasonably convincing argument about how statisically unlikely a water landing was? 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Has the POOF Master revealed himself? We shall see. I assume he can make things reappear. Snow, please unPOOF that photo Jo saw of the inmate smoke jumpers. OK?
