On The Floor Or AND The Kitchen Table. There. Fixed it. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Man... I'm 6'5" tall, 270 lbs out the door and I'm not even sure I could do 140 mph on my belly. I can get to 130, but there's only so much arching my big ass can do. I too, can't help but wonder why. She in a base for hybrids? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Old Farts Reunion could relocate once a year to Oklahoma. We generally have one at Mike Sisemore's place where he puts on a helluva feed while we're jumping on to his property. [He gave it up in 1983(?) from weak knees from jumping the Wide World of Sports camera] Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

My memory of the tradition in 1983 was a nekkid jump at 100 and pie'ing at 1,000. I say we give her the choice of nekkid or pie'ing. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

100 = Pie. 1,000 = lotsa pie. Oh. the horror. It's like being in an SCR ceremony - only with pie. Bastards will let you hose off and think it's over only to receive more upon return. You go hose off again and return. Is it over? Fuck no... Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Private is a blocked caller ID. I doubt it's a telemarketer. They can get seriously jammed up if they knowingly called a cell phone. Having said that, if you recently had a landline ported over to your cell, it takes a little while for it to hit the FCC's list of numbers the telemarketers should not call. My guess is; it's someone you know with a blocked ID and they figure since it was chit-chat - they'd just call you back. Well, I haven't been there in a year and a half. Please give my regards to Mandy, Ernie, Cat2 and the rest of the staff. I'm not sure if you ever got to meet Bill G. before he left. He was a great guy who always made sure everyone had enough to drink and eat on a Saturday night. Nobody went to bed hungry. Andres, Pease consider talking with your Instructors, getting the opinion of experienced local jumpers and the feel of one in your hands from your local gearstore. Try the Happy Hooker on for size. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

I'm going to ask DiverDriver to step in here. Let's get an expert's definition of controlled, uncontrolled and what "might" be the issue. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Definitions a. Airports Without Operating Control Towers. Airports without control towers or an airport with a control tower which is not operating. These airports are commonly referred to as nontowered, uncontrolled, or part-time towered airports. Visitng a new DZ or jumping a new type of plane
BIGUN replied to Armour666's topic in Safety and Training
I'd be more concerned about this than going to a different DZ. Please discuss a downsizing plan with your Instructors. You may want to read this to use as a guide for each canopy you step down to.... Billvon's Downsizing Checklist Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -
I agree with Reg. Cutting lines below a knot is still a knot below the canopy and I'm fairly confident you wouldn't be making the situation worse. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Yes vote. Multiple reasons. Mostly, 1) it's a double-edged sword. If a DZ is not a GM, they're branded as a "bandit" DZ by other DZ's, 2) I think the USPA is fulfilling the mission statement - by promoting safe skydiving and "helps" keep skydivers in the air. "Help" isn't specified. If a Tandem DZ does several thousand tandems by USPA rated TI's in a year and each of those people have a positive experience; don't they go out into the community and share that positive experience which helps our sport overall? The argument of "They are more like a carnival ride operator" doesn't wash with me. There is the opportunity to learn using the Tandem Progression Method, but how many DZ's employ that methodology? Wouldn't that mean every DZ that offers tandems as a segment of their business also be considered a carnival ride provider? You ever heard of an instance where a whuffo showed up at a DZ and said, "I'd like to do a tandem" and the DZO say, "Nah, get outta here, we don't offer carnival rides." You say they have no "business' being a part of the USPA. But, just because they have a different business model, doesn't mean they can't affiliate with the association. That's like saying an insurance company that offers only automobile insurance shouldn't be a part of some American Insurance Association, or commodity brokers shouldn't have their SEC ratings and not be a part of some stock broker association. Tandem DZ's have chosen their market segment and I don't see why they can't associate with the USPA (which is a not-for-profit). Would you rather they started their own United States Tandem Skydiving Association and the USPA lose the additional revenues from their being USPA associates which "helps" all skydivers? It takes time and jumps to desensitize one's self after such an occurence. You "might" want to make some solo sunset HnP's or other easy no stress dives till you feel comfortable and confident again. Being a little apprehensive is healthy and normal. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

1. As you "step down," you may want to be proficient at everything on Billvon's Downsizing Checklist (and, I'd like to add that it doesn't mean just once, it means being proficient at it.). http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/safety/detail_page.cgi?ID=47 2.
