Hey Jimmy, Craig tipped me off about these people (Specialty Risk International). Gus had some correspondence with them in which they confirmed that legal BASE jumps are covered (post here). I've insured with them quite a few times but never got any return on the investment so can't tell you what their after action satisfaction rating is. Hope this helps. Will

I have about 20 skydives with it, no BASE jumps yet (insert witty slider up comment by Mrs. P at this point). I think the outfit is great but it will not make bad trackers good, in fact it might make them worse (pitch head down). Basically if you are a competent tracker you will really enjoy flying the outfit. If you are shit at tracking, get some more experience doing regular tracking dives first then buy it, you will then really enjoy flying the outfit. Personally I need about 20 to 30 more skydives with this outfit (and some more abuse from Mrs. P) before I feel ready to BASE jump it. YMMV Bear in mind I have no PF BASE experience, the above are based on my skydiving experience. Also, I bought the outfit from Morpheus who gave me prompt service at a good price. Will

Nice pic Gus, that was how I understood it too. I'm not convinced the PC folding method was the only factor. Given Jaap's relative inexperience perhaps what he thought was a good pitch wasn't quite so strong? Maybe the PC wasn't pitched into clean air but was released into his burble?

That video rocks, you did a good job of the editing. I'd like to buy a copy when it is released properly. No fucking way am I making giving you compliments a habit. I must say that I was especially impressed with the slider down footage (so used to just seeing big wall footage from Italy). Some very nice stuff (the bloopers section gave me a bit of a sphincter tremble, but not in a nice way). Forget the scooter and espresso, shouldn't you be out voting in that Pope Idol competition? That is such a lie! The truth is that I can't put a slider on because I lost my nr. 9 spanner. B&Q no longer stocks them and apparently they have stopped making that size spanner globally. As for the going stowed thing, well I only have room in my pockets for two beers. If I went stowed it would mean going without the third beer.
