  1. Wouldn't PC fabric type also be an issue (durability, strain around vent) - why did you choose F111 over ZP for a vented PC? Edited to add : glad there was still enough drag to get your shit out and you are OK!
  2. Well said, your posts show real insight.

    s5?

Patrick de Gayardon (inventor of the modern day wingsuit) used a tunnel for testing. I wonder what he would make of all the nylon whoring and warring if he were still around. (probably wouldn't care because he'd already be busy inventing the next big thing... )
  4. Hi Ross I understand that you have very little or no BASE experience, I'd be interested to know who sold you that canopy and what your mentor's opinion/advice was. If you don't want to reply here a PM would be fine. The UK is not the place to be test jumping a modified outdated canopy - lets be honest if you get away with jumping it off spans abroad you are going to want to use it at home. That canopy might turn out to be a very expensive bargain. Will
  5. From that picture it looks like you could be his minime, both of you are having good hair days.
  6. So you can't be mad at anyone yet you still want to get a dig in at the people who thought you would quit? I think you play the victim to make passive aggressive attacks.
  7. I believe it was Keyser Soze who came up with the name.
  8. Definitely not strictly a US thing. I know someone who went to Switzerland to learn to BASE jump in the valley. The guy teaching him had 50 BASE jumps. This is not an isolated incident. How many BASE jumpers in the UK do you know who didn't either A) suck it up and pay the money to do a 'slider-down' FJC in the states or B) find themselves an experienced local jumper to teach/mentor them? Everyone else tries to do it on the cheap via an unqualified inexperienced 'friend' or a big wall FJC that does not prepare for local conditions/objects. Will
  9. Who'da thunk it, I think you and I were in a dinner party at Eva's near Eloy recently.
  10. Sorry if you misunderstood - my sheep are for shearing not sharing.
  11. Chucking the chicken? Chucking??? And all this time I thought it was 'choking'. This explains a lot.
  12. Kentucky Fucked Chicken? I have my suspicions about the 'secret ingredient'... You guys are seriously disturbed and I'm not sharing my live-stock with you.
  13. Aah, the Primary Chicken Assist. How about SL's, what is the breaking strain of a chicken?
  14. From your experience how does the Sabre2 compare to the Pilot, Nitro, Nitron and the Safire 2?
  15. My opinion is that when summer starts and everybody gets to jump off/out of stuff the good vibes will be flowing freely. I've only met unclecharlie in person once and that was at Neil's funeral. The fact that he flew out specially from Italy was pretty damn cool. That and the fact that he is almost as well coiffurred as Glamour Boy. Sometimes you birdpeople remind me of penguins.
  16. Good luck Bryan, you are dealing with a guy who believes that BOC stands for Beer Only Container.
  17. If that is a screen-grab, any chance of uploading the video? Did you allow enough slack in the bridle for the pitch? BTW when you jump A's and S's do you tuck the bridle into the top flap of your container so that a tail-wind can't blow it under your arm when you pitch? Sorry, I can only ask questions, hopefully some of the more experienced guys can give some insight.
  18. Dude, just be glad Remi wasn't on that road-trip. It wouldn't be tooth-paste up your nose...
  19. Scooby doo = clue Don't be Andrew WK about sliders and going stowed when you get here Faber.
  20. Do you mean something like this?
  21. Are you assuming only BASE jumpers voted in the poll? This is a skydiving web-site.

    Which gear?

This was exactly my thinking when I ordered. I don't fly a wingsuit but still wanted something with a nice profile for jumping my PF tracking outfit. Am very happy with the work Rob and Kathy did for me. I've only gone terminal once so far with my Gargoyle/PF tracking outfit combo and it was fucking awesome, like having a lit rocket shoved up your arse. Of course most Australians are already familiar with that sensation. You and Morpheus are making some seriously good shit - very cool partnership.

    Which gear?

I think you are referring to the soft yoke option on standard Gargoyles.
  24. Paul told me when he joined Aerodyne the agreement was that since they don't make a cross-braced canopy (yet) Paul was free to continue flying/competing with his Velo. This was last month in Eloy, he was flying a Velocity then so I don't know where this talk of a Xaos has come from. Will
