Apart from the shit canopy control, I thought the 2-way itself sucked as well. Either it was poorly planned or the jumpers in question can't stick to a designated delay (maybe if the lower man went stowed it would've helped?). IMHO low experience jumpers doing 2-ways from '300 is pretty stupid (let alone poor canopy control, dayblazing and subsequently posting MTV 'I'm so hardkore' videos on the net for 'educational' purposes). Trying different dropzones UK
skreamer replied to julesshrew's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Hibaldstow is by far my favourite UK DZ (out of the 6 I've jumped at). I haven't skydived since January, but when I showed my face there recently it was as friendly as always. They have some sensible rules, like a 500 jump requirement for the experienced landing area. The wind limits are strictly enforced for students, which is probably why they sometimes incorrectly think they are being neglected when they see the experienced jumpers in the air. Bottome line - exit altitude is minimum '14 500. Will PS I used to drive up from London to jump there (150 miles each way) and will gladly do so again if I decide to give airplane assisted freefall another go. -
If you are referring to the other Tom then you better hope he doesn't read that.

Could you confirm, are you talking about vents with covers? I have a vented (no covers) Fox '265 w. 5 upper control lines and am quite happy with the steep approaches it allows. Some now advocate against 5th upper control line mods on Foxes, DW and JJ recommended it to me and I've had good results. Will

How did getting vents improve your landings? A vented canopy (with covers) might pressurize quicker but can't fly/flare better than an otherwise identical non-vented canopy. Did you get better landings because the vents gave you more time under canopy or does it sink better because of the vents? Will

Out of pure curiosity, how old are you?

OK, now you guys have totally turned me on. I'm sitting here in only my socks and underpants getting all hot and sweaty reading your macho angry posts. Of course this wouldn't be a problem if I wasn't still at work... Will PS I'm still straight for now but it is hard with studly real men like you lot around...

I suppose if you put out enough bait eventually you will get some bites.

The biggest ass-holes often convince themselves to believe that they are the victims. Sometimes ass-holes try to be nice and sometimes nice people can't help being ass-holes. You've got to be your own best friend (especially if you are an overweight green Canadian with an outrageous accent and wear lycra leggings on the dropzone... ). Will PS apologies for the hijack, I didn't create it it kinda just evolved.

Thanks for that Han, a lot of useful info in that post.

Did anyone see the video of Castro falling on his face?
skreamer replied to Gawain's topic in Speakers Corner
Castro broke his knee (in eight places) and his arm, I think your post was in poor taste. If Bush had got bust up when he fell off his Segway I bet you wouldn't react too nicely to a Cuban making a similar post to yours. -
All pigs are equal, but some pigs are green.

I am so upset that you'd probably be best off avoiding me entirely at the next boogie.

Not even if you were on fire and begging for a golden shower...

OK

Well, I thought I was straight (but wide), but now reading all these posts by macho homophobic fundamentalist alpha male types is really turning me on...

But JP, don't you know gay people don't have to pay taxes? Why should the government recognize the rights of people who don't contribute to the economy? Will

Because he is one of the Knights who say....

Thieving git, make up your own analogies!

All pigs are equal, but some pigs have stars next to their names.

Could you please elaborate, I don't follow your line of reasoning.

You are talking about a period of 7 years (1932 to 1939), I understand it made quite a big difference to the people who needed help the most.

Roosevelt during the Great Depression? Of course now you have a leader who creates wars. But no worries, next week you have the chance to change that.
