  1. How do his jump numbers compare to Tim's? Specifically tracking, which of them is the more experienced at tracking?
  2. It doesn't matter about the other guy. What I'd want is for Tim (Tim oT?) to make some tracking dives wearing pantz/PF pants/smoke pants/RWsuit/freeflypants/underpants and then give me his opinion based on his experience. These comparisons are absolutely meaningless. I mean we've all seen the video of the two guys wearing pantz getting smoked by Atle. These comparisons prove nothing. What we see this summer in Norway, France, Switzerland and Italy will prove a lot.
  3. Are you saying you think Pantz and PF pants have about the same forward speed?

    Troll Sizing

Sorry, I can't give you fair feedback on flight and flare performance - Fox is vented without covers, Troll vented with covers.

    Troll Sizing

There is a noticeable difference between my Fox '265 and my Troll '265 (pack volume wise). I'm using two identically sized Gargoyles (made for Troll '265), you can feel and see the difference when closing the containers.
  6. I saw enough in Lukas's movies to know that neither of those is true. Team Bautasten still rules.

    WS-Extreme

Or get a regular gargoyle with the soft yoke option.
  8. Dude, he was like so totally rad to the extreme it was sick!
  9. I just finished watching the show, thanks for uploading it.
  10. I've tried 6 dropzones in England. I now drive to Hibaldstow from London with a smile on my face. Making 9 skydives a day there packing for yourself is very do-able. £17,50 to 15K in under 15 minutes - what other UK DZ can compete with that? (and if their planes are as fast they are probably G92s leased from Hib ). When I took a year out from skydiving, I popped up a couple of times to visit. The staff and regulars were as friendly as always. I was once on a load in the SMG consisting of myself, two other fun jumpers, a SL student and the jump master. After the student was dispatched I was wondering what altitude Swalty (DZO/pilot) would give us considering he only had 3 paying passengers in the back. We got 16K! Looking at the experience level of some people posting here I think they are still in their comfort zone/loyalty to DZ at all costs stage. Once they grow some horns they might find some very green grass up north. For me Hib is the best of the 6 English DZs I've tried so far and well worth the petrol and time to get there. In general I do think customer service at DZs in this country can be poor. Maybe because of fickle weather DZs are always under financial pressure so when you do get good weather you get the militaristic shouting. Shouting at your customers in public is not good business practice. It puts people on edge and spoils what should be a fun activity on their weekends. And some of the skygods should go spend some time at Eloy and learn from the example of humble champions. If it wasn't for Hib I wouldn't have rejoined the BPA. The weather is bad enough here as it is, why would you want to spend your weekend at a place giving negative vibes? Will PS does anybody know where the nationals will be held this year? How many years running is that now? Nuff said.
  11. If you pitch too violently you risk dropping a shoulder. I use a very well practiced wrist action.
  12. I was on an elliptical '135 under 400 jumps, have now got just over 600 jumps and am flying a Pilot '140 (which totally rocks, love it!). My decision was helped following a friendly chat with Bryan Burke after I smeared myself across the desert.
  13. LMFAO! Score one for the brummie, nice one Adrian.
  14. I think if you do try to charge the same price there might be concern. I don't think screen grab stills are enough to justify charging that much. If handcams do get increasingly popular amongst TMs I can only imagine the DZ politics when full-time vidiots start losing business.
  15. Just keep it quiet, Jules took the other pic. I'm just here for the free dental care.
  16. Probably the best organized dives I ever did were those by Max Cohn. He gets everyone involved, even if your part of the dive plan is simple it is always challenging. Combined to make some pretty cool stuff. I know he posts here sometimes, hopefully we get some feedback from the dude himself.
  17. This is the part that gets me, these guys who are fucking around are just following in other jumpers footsteps and screwing up established objects. They are making no effort whatsoever to open anything themselves. I'm still new to BASE, but the level of attitude and ignorance from some people even newer to the sport than me is unbelievable. Is this 'I want it and I want it now' attitude a new thing or have there always been this many fuckwits not willing to pay their dues? On the positive side, the newbie on our crew (Richard) is sound, he listens and he thinks. I've also jumped with two newbies up north who were really switched on (both very experienced skydivers and have packed many reserves). I do think people who have paid some dues in skydiving think a bit more about consequences. Last year was a bad year but unless people stop jumping objects that are beyond their ability/experience we are heading for worse. Will
  18. Yeah, I bought the book last weekend. Good stuff, quite a bit in the psychology bit that applies to BASE too. I attended one of Brian's seminars in Sweden, I highly recommend them. Maybe next time we will actually get to make that canopy coach jump. Will
  19. So how does it feel to be ignored?
  20. It says right here that Paul 'Soutpiel' Rossouw came second representing UK. Anybody reading this who meets Paul at this comp please call him 'soutpiel', he really likes it. Will PS ek is seker jy kan hard bliksem maar ek kan fokken vinnig hardloop.
  21. Hey Paul en Ian, ek hou poes vas vir julle. (Ian, get Paul to explain the duim/poes thing to you.) Will PS Paul is a pom now so give him lank kak.
  22. Am I seeing things or was there a camera mounted on a green and black frap hat near the end?
