  1. I personally custom make my own jump suits. Cost under fifty dollars in materials and four hours of my time and its done. For you a possible suggestion would be to try a local tailor or seamstress to custom size and make you one. I am sure that you can design it with all the bells and whisles you want...even pick out what materials you want for where.. I would see what they charge and sure it would be less then the others provided you do not add too much to it... Id even reinformce those areas that tend to ware out the most: IE 4th point of contact, knees and elbows. And you could even make detachable booties that could be taken off and repaired / replaced.... if they ware out.... Just a thought here... 2. I know in Arabic that if you put a KH instead of K letter in Kenneth it means Gay/ or homosexual.. Sure hated that, as I am not.... So I just used Ken and when I learned to read and write it that really helped out. Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith

  4. This brings to mind in the Pointers Manual on storage chart that is used. Where I found the mean or central point for storage at or near 70 degres F and a humtity of 70 percental. This is what I try to maintain in my daily storage of air items... Also including out of direct/ indirect sunlight of course. I am sure that cars get alot hotter then this if allowed to set out in the sun. Ive seen then as high as 120 degrees in NC. Best situatiion as stated before hand keep them inside. While it is true that to receive certification these systems are put to the test, I sure would not want my life depending on it everyday. Remember the T-10 series was basically packed into a trash bag during its test pack in the late 40's early 50's. I don't see too many placing that into a trash bag, especially our military.
  5. Has anyone taken the Life and Health Insurance state exam? Is it harder then the study questions? What steps should I take in passing the test other then study the material? Any suggestions? The reason for this is I am about to take the 3day course on the 14 to the 16th and test on the 18th. For the Michigan state inurance test. And was looking for anyone that had taken the course, etc.. and any input from you on making it. After I pass this exam I go to Chicago for a 11 day training. Any suggestions would be appricated, thanks, Ken.. Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  6. Glad to hear that your ok. From my standpoint here its hard to determine the actual cause. But could be a packing issue. What is your wing load? I would say send it back to the manufacture to have them look it over and you could ask for a discount but see how much it would cost to repair. Sure it will be expensive but you will have to determine if that is worth the cost of a new canopy and repair cost etc... 7. Has anyone tried any of those natural cures out there? Reference to losing weight, controling high blood pressure, diabetes, etc..... Reason beind this is I recently read that Natural Cures book and it says to lose weight take one table spoon twice a day of natural organic coconut oil and lose weight in a short time and by eating hot/ spicey food this helps you lose weight also. Has anyone tried any of thee so called natural cures and do you think they work or not..?? thanks, Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  8. Well G. Bush went to Ft Bragg, NC on the 4th of July. One of the Special Ops soliders asked if he would jump out of Air Force One and he stated that #41 does that suff and has done it five times. I sure would liek the chance to jump out of Air Force One// How many jumpers do you think we could put on it.? Sure would not want to pay for the jump ticket.... But am glad that he went to see the people who make it happen. Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  9. my bad should have been closing loop. What was I thinking. Time to get a drug test..hahaha Thanks for correcting me there. Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  10. I dont know how many jumps you have todate?? but with any purchases via internet, DZ, friends, etc... Always get a rigger to look the gear over before any real cash is put on a rig, then of course get permission from the owner to do a jump or two on it to make sure this is what you want. I do not know your current wing loading?? but from a 210 to a 190 is not that far off in a general sense. So with these two questions it is hard to say for certain. But ask an instructor at your home DZ for their input also. Please Update your profile with number of jumps etc so we all can give you some input here. Thanks. 11. And with that we must also acknowledge that the US Airlines is the worlds safest in that no we dont let passengers carry box cutters and every where else in the world's airlines are dangerous. Ok this was pre-9/11 but then again the ideal was the same to carry out such attacks. Was he not also at the helm (sort of speaking) when the bombings happened in Africa in 99 and the USS Cole in Yeman. What did we do there? Enough to say that we as a whole were not ready for him or anyone else for that matter. What about that former VP Qualye who was underscored by a 14 year old in a spelling match??? I just love those out of office VP's. Sure cant wait for the book and/ or movie deal. Ill have to get a copy to heat my home this winter. Bet you can get it at a great discount a few months after its release.....70% off....... Dont waste a vote= Vote for Homee the Clown. At least you know are getting a good old fashion screwing. Dont take this to heart its just the way it is. If you dont like it then you should run for office as I am sure that you could not screw it up that much..... Like it is now..!! Paid for and brought too you by those who Don't care for a politian or such. thanks.. Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  12. Maybe I should change my profession to traveling Rigger. Have passport willing to travel. I hope that you find someone to take care of this for you. Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  13. I had my center line brake about two years ago on my manata. It was in the nose area and the canopy colapased in the the center cells, I pumped the breaks a few times and it reinflated. then it colapsed again and had to cut away. That was my expenerience. Wing load about .75 to .90. Reserve ride was nice: since it was my own pack job also... But must say that I had to get out and jump once again to over come that rush.... 14. Best response see your local rigger/ or instructor. Other then that simply take one free running end of the pull up cord under your main pin then tug on it slightly to have the rest of the pull up cord go under the pin. The pull up cord should be under the pin. The closing loop should be in contact with the pin. then slowly pull on one end of the pull up cord to remove the pull up cord. Remember to replace the closing loop if and when it gets worn (Safety). I usually rub bees wax into the closing loop area every so often and replace at least once a year or every 3 or 4 months. Sure is cheaper then having it come open during climb out etc.... Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  15. This just proves that NASA is far our reaching in its abilaties. Since the USA has no one to go aainst like the great moon race of the late 60's. Now here we have this 25 year old shuttle that has more then paid for itself in what it has done been a cost demon in its age. No it cost even more then it used to especialiy since the 86 destruction: Now try and launch one with all the specs and worn out parts. I dont see why they just done get reid of the form and go with a large blanket that fits around that big fuel tank. That would still keep the fuel cold and will not break apart unless this blanket is made in some cheap labor induced nation (Quality Control).... But remember this is the same nation that sends millions of dollars out to other countries to make them see our way of not knowing if we will ever get paid in return. A great example is the changing of the name of the Federal Center here in Battle Creek, MI to the Hart-Dole-Inhaua Federal Center: Since these guys stayed here during WWII for medical treatment. Total cost to the tax payers 25 million. Thanks Sentaor Carl Levin (MI) for the added expense. When we have used this money for something else... But what do I know?? I should run for office. Just blowing off some steam on our tax dollars at work...../ Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  16. Lets not forget those who strap bombs to there body and let it blow. Just too bad that they took out some good people as well.... Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  17. Just wanted to know where the nation stands at here in 2006 for when the time comes. I was not sure if some of them would put there name in but you never know. Thanks, Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  18. No way but when you look into it at times it seems someone is always trying to sell that ideal to you. To do one thing make there wallets fater and yours alot smaller. HIV is a trickey one as this thing is always changing. What was it some years ago someone had the ideal that HIV was a military germ that was released and they could not stop it.. A holleywood script that sounds like to me.. Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  19. We can all do our part by making the sport either safe or danagerous. Based on how we act or react. It is everyones part to make it safe. Can you make it 100 percent safe? No, as we always will have a situation or problem that could not be delt with. The problems that Ive seen in the last few years is jumpers exiting with higher wing loads then what they are used too. Look at the incident reports and this is a sinceless way to die. Then we have injuries from hook turns not calculated to the point of being safe. Maybe Im a old school jumper or I just want to be around alot longer. A good point to remember there are no old stupid skydivers. Just a way to creat a bad name for others I guess. While I cant ever remember sex being safe. I must say that with some care and protection we can all live a bit longer. Why cant they find a cure for HIV i beat that they dont want to as they are making alot more in the drugs that used to keep people alive longer. 20. Best rule is KISS Keep it simple. Add what you want to say but dont include too much information like jumpers names, special news releases, etc.. A basic of one to three photos of Tandem, AFF, etc of what you offer with a brief detail of what services are offered. A map and/ or contact info is a must have. A must have is a email news letter where you can get the visitors to sign up and receive a weeklyu/ montly update by way of email. Such as jump days, special news and events etc.. This will help to limit the download speed by reducing the content and allow you to have a customer base to work with. Hope this helps.... some..with some ideals.. 21. It is not only with someone love but it gets to the point that practice makes perfection. Sometimes it with somoenyou dont love sometimes it is. Sex is natrural, sex is fun.. Not that I said it but G. Mecheal did... not that I care much for him..it is a true statement.... One time years ago (when I was single in the Army) we had a round robin going on with two women that lasted over the weekend... Go out come back get it on..go out. come back and get it on.... after that two days it was like total fun.... tired me out ..hahaha... but was fun... 22. Ive done these types of presentations before. In fact I did it like this a 12 to 16 slide show showing the training, jumping, and skills used by skydivers plus additional info on safety, laws etc.. took about 30 minutes to run with some nice photos on it. This helps people understand skydivers better then you people are crazy. Then I bring in one of my rigs where the reserve is close to being out of date and show them how the rig works then break down the main and reserve to show them how they work. Total time on this part about 30 minutes or more depending on the questions raised. Ask your local DZ for support on any extra gear: such as altimeters, helmets, photos, etc... As they would be more then happy as this is a chance to advertise by ways of flyers etc...Why not if you have six people in the conference this is six or more people that would try it..even a tandem.... Each of these ideals Ive used to great sucess. If you have any further questions or such please feel free to email me and I could provide you with a base power point slide show that Ive used.... Thanks Ken,... Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  23. Both are aas dangerous as the user lets them become. Running out of air is just plain stuipd if one plans a dive and dive the plan. By monitoring the supply this is an easy task. I can have a 80 cu ft last over an hour and half with room to spare plus going to a depth of 130 feet/ 40 min for 10 minutes then raising up slowly to shadower depths. Best to rely on yourself and at least carry a small spre air just in case. Skydiving also has its own set of danages including parachute activation while getting out of the A/C etc.. While these are preventable it goes the same with checking the air. The major difference between the two is you can skydive then scuba dive but can not scuba dive then skydive unless you want to feel the wonderful pain of those bubbles in your body (the Bends). I used to teach stay off airplanes or going into mountain ranges for at least 24 hours after diving..jUst in case.. And always be safe (Slowly Assend from Every Dive)... I love both of these sports and would love to see them both grow and expand to where we all could do both... 24. Getting: In my car while traveling down the HWY. Giving: in the Philippines. general rule's to follow: Never do it then eat it. Either way. and if its smells like fish and its not then don't eat it. Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  25. I am a PADI Certified MSDT (Master SCUBA Diver Trainer) where while I was in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia used to teach alot of the regular Saudi's, American's and other nations. The thing that I loved was the actual teaching be it wreck dives or photography it was all fun. There in Jeddah you had to always deal with the irogate Saudi Coast guard that was always fun to deal with especially when you had women divers with you that you were not related too.... Water temp was on an average of 84 in the summer and 72 in the winter. Vis was around 5 feet at times to as much as a hundred plus feet at others. Went diving here in the Great Lakes and that was another story: cold and vis. of 2 feet like doing a dive in a mud hole.... Sure miss diving at times as you can stay under alot longer then on another skydive, But nothing beats the rush ./// I have some pics posted on my web site at: www.geocites.com/kenneth21441 Enjoy,
