  1. No comment from here as I have posted many times the way that I feel towards these sand people. Having sent seven years in that >>it hole. Equal justice to me is nuke them all and that will end our real problems with this out of date country......... 2. Replace the set as it will save you alot more in the long run. Esp with a set that has 800 plus jumps on them. Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  3. I also offer coverage for skydiving accidents but the preiums are at around 33.82 a month for 18 to 32 years old (just a estimate as I do not have my rate book on me here).... The issue here it does not offer the options as the other policies as this a paid for service and the others are a cash payable to the policy holder. These of course are payable ontop of any and all other types of insurance and have found these to be of benefit for skydivers... Heart attacks effect how many people each day, what about cancer.... etc.... The other policies do protect skydivers but most do notify want to a higher premium cost as stated above. So the CCS and Cancer policy is by far chearper. If you are just looking for an accident policy you can look at our Hospital Indemity Program/ Accident or go with a general accident umbrella policy. Of course what I offer is in the state of Michigan if you wish to contact one of our agents in the other states let me know and I will try to get with them. But each states insurance policies/ laws, and coverage may be different....... Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  4. this policy and the cancer policy pay out cash to you.... it covers heart attack, heart surgey, cancer, stroke, brain tumor, kidney failure, organ transplant (heart, kidney, liver, lung, pancreas), multiple sclerosis, paralysis (two or more limbs), dismemberment (two or more limbs), severe burns and blindness. Cost for coverage $10,000 ages 18-34 tabacco user $24.57 a month / non tabacco user $18.90 a month both witha return of preuim after 15 years.... Both are of course less with the return on premium... So if one of these 12 conditions apply to you we do not charge you extra just because you jump out of airplanes.. And we all know that these can effect any of us. Other news is once you start in a age group the rates do not increse with age. Hope this helps.. Ken,.. 5. I sell insurance in the state of Michigan and I have a policy that everyone likes its called the Critical Care and Support that pays between 10 to 50,000 if you come up with one of 12 conditions. Great news is skydivers can get it... it covers heart attacks, cancer, strokes, burns, etc.. Cost is cheap around 15 dollars a month for 18 to 30 years old with 10,000 coverage. Plus after 15 years you can opt to get a return of preiums if you have no problems.... A great seller. Also we have a cancer policy that covers any cancer you may get. Rates are also low. that Pay anywhere from 10 to 50,000. To qualify you must not have cancer and not had more then two releatives that were under 60 years old that had cancer. Let me know if you would like further information on these. Thanks Ken... Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  6. Bob is doing well at home and seems to be moving around alot better. Since the growth was found not cancerous. No further treatment is really needed other then the check ups and Bob should be ready to go around the mid part of October. 7. I have nothing wrong to say about hook turns other then if done correctly you win if done incorrectly the ground wins. Timing is everything. But seeing some 100 jumper attempt it I see an accident just about to happen. Been there and seen it. Best words is best to be safe then sorry... Look at the accidents reports in the past few years.. Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  8. I personally think that we should have a common sense course for getting the D license. How many accidents and death occur each year with those who hold that high and mightly D. When years ago you would expect a A license holder to have a accident. Not now, or is that there are alot more experienced jumpers then lower experience numbers. I know with over 400 plus jumps I still am very conserative. Openings at 3000 feet with a wing load of 1.0 to following the rules including no hook turns etc... So why are we still loosing jumpers???? Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  9. I just love it when the FAA shows up and says "we are here to help you" before they start to go through your records and get the prob out. Just wished they worked better control on the TSA inspectors.... Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  10. My guess is you may never see it. Since the internal politics of this group is nothing more then that POLITICS.... Its not what you know but who and now the Olympic commettee is so much worried about money.....remember a few years back with the bribing cases and the black eye they received. also look at who sponsors these events... Get the picture? its all about cash for who wants it. Just my two cents.... Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  11. It would really help if you would fill out the profile so we know who you are better and your level of expeirence. As far a a TSO: reserves are tested and certified and at each repack the rigger certifies that an inspection was done and this states basically that the reserve is good for another 120 days. While the mains on the other hand are not TSOed and you could basically jump a sheet if you wanted (NOT RECOMMENDED). I have several military rigs that are not TSOed but follow the military contract in terms and conditions of rating for the repack of the reserves. Best course of action is talk with your local riggers to show you the differneces. thanks Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  12. He had a large grape fruit sized tumor found on his kidney. Best course of action for him at that time was to remove the one kidney and the result was the tumor was non-cancerous...So it did not spread... At present hes a little weak but he will pull it through.... Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  13. Try flat packing. Until you get used to packing over the shoulders. It just takes practice and time/// Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  14. It would make good since to wait till after the big balls of rain and wind pass is a good reason. If you can keep it in somewhat good order with roof sealent then that will do for a year but in time this will not work. Another thing that might keep you from replacing it is to tarp the roof for short time periods. The question I have is there a off sesssion when construction crews need work and will offten reduce cost to do any work??? If there is then if you can wait until this time frame you can save alot of money.. Hope this helps Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  15. Just wanted to let everyone know that Bob got out of the hospital on Sunday. He looked aittle worn out but what he went through can understand. He said the docs gave him six weeks to knees to the breeze, Bob says four. Ill go with Bob on it. So if you have the time give him a call or send him a card.Im sure that will boost that four weeks in no time. thanks Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  16. I have the 281st one made by Ruger. In .223 cal. owsome fire power and can even take it out on the range with no real problems. Gas system is great with its cam locking system keeping pressures inside and not blowing up. As far as the newer verson I dont know but do use the 7.62x39 in my AK and SKS. A bit heaver round I recall weight carring of like 4 .223 to 1 7.62. I guess that depends on you. Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  17. I was still wondering who in the world was stupid enough to do the landing part. While Ive seen some real sharks in my life I would never try somthing like that. Hope he got piad, SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!!!! Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  18. I secure mine with a piece of elastic that I have sewen to fit tightly around the body of the camera and with another piece of elastic band around the front. This helps pervent side to side shifts and forward and aft shifts. In addition to the tripod screw. Just in case. Of course I also secure the lanyard through one of the holes on my helment. This goes for the 35 MM and video sure would hate to lose one in FF.. In a way one acts as a back up in case I forget one or the other. So far its worked well. Also had designed a small camera helment parachute that is tied to my jumpsuit case if it comes off..Parachute is fitted inside the helment. From my test this method will slow down the helment if dropped and landings will be hade where the chin strap hits first thus protecting the cameras.. Will I ever need?? Hard to say but just in case. thanks Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  19. I heard it was a special container that pocks that has room for a CD player and internet acess. So that way you can jam to the tunes and look for updates to your gear. Really, each contianer will have special RF chip that will send a signal when the rig needs to be repacked either the main or reserve and some rigger will show up like those G**k squad folks. Enjoy.... Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  20. I love cross country trips on a skydive..Well hop and pop that is. We usually do ours above 10,500 and hope that the upper winds will carry us. Its a bit of guess work of where to get out at. But if you know the area it helps keep you in line of the real direction to follow. When you do them of course do it in a groupd of 2 or more and make sure that someone has the number to reach the DZ or some change in case you need a pay phone. The longest range we covered one day was just over five miles and will got to the DZ. What helped: upper winds were over 40knots and lower were just under 10. A great ride at half breaks. enjoy... 21. Well it depends on the operation or instructor but the best bet would be a hop and pop from 3500 feet to be current but yes there is a basic review of information before you gear up. What do you do it this happens? sort of stuff. Good practice of malfunctions is a sure fire way to help. I know to this day on the ride up I still cover these things in my mind. Another one would be to just jump with a instructor up to altitude. Of course after the review. If possible got for the hop and pop as this is one area that you may need in an actual get out of the plane emgerency. After the jump you are squared away to jump like you are used to. Hope that this helps, ken.. Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  22. Do remember some years back of one of our jumpers helping him self out in being the master of his doman. Jumpmaster told him to put it back in and just before we all exited he was free willing it out the door. Sure glad that he was ahead of me there. A year later he took a bunch of pussy (cats) that his wife had and they were divorcing. Needless to say that pussy got him all scared up during the fall. All I saw was these tiny little dots around him not sutre if they used al lives or what. But he was a real sicko.... 23. What ever the case is. I know that Jay will do it as he is the type to set a goal and standard and see it get done. Weather is another factor that Jay has little control over and I wish him the best for the cause he supports. If Jay needs another packer or my rigs he is more then welcome to use them if he wants. thanks, Ken. Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  24. If only we could send some to each side that would be fair. Im game for some Blue 82's to be dropped in on this poor terrorist that keep there feet under the same table. Maybe Im wrong but did we not supply the Freedom fighters in the late 70/ early 80's. Who now follow the belief we are the evil Kiffers that they beleive we are. Load up a 747 and drive that thing in to the Koba in Mecca is what I must say. But honestly this nation is nothing when we act like our friends. Let alone why do I have to pay to send this stuff to another country that would assume to use it on me.... Sure I support Israil and would like to see them kick the ::it out of these folks since they are backed by terrorist states. As these states what a chance to go after Israil, they have always wanted too since 1947,,,..Why just because these idiots can have somithing else to bitch about since they have been killing themselves for over a thousand years...... We are just helping them kill themselves faster..I totally believe that A. Hitler went after the wrong race. Should have went a bit South and taken out the oil kings and then we take him out..... Why would the Arabs try to use this oil for there own profit and we as a nation are suckers for giving into these same people who want to fly planes into our land and call us friends. DO NOT TRUST THEM. If you lay with them you are as they are. After September 11th these are the same folks (our Friends) who laughed at this. Funny as they thought it was. I know I was over there and Had known for years this folks gave funds for such things as training, etc..... Rember 15 of the 19 were from where????? I must end this hear but it is all the truth.. Look into it and see.... Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
  25. I am glad that you made it through this and you are ok. This would be a real peeker checker id must say for me.. If Id seen that. I have a question if any one know what would/ could cause this> Question?? What would cause this:? Im thinking that the link was not fully seated in the threads. Or Inferior link was used. I know on my mains and reserves I use red nail polish to mark the sides for proper alinment. Ive only seen this type of damage caused by a exteme amount of loading on one ring only. Thanks, Ken..
