We (UPT) did get some feedback for Babylon about the old style riser covers coming open when doing very extreme atmonauti. Since then, we have received a few (less than 20) other people expressing the same concern. We have come up with a modification that will install another 2 magnets on top of the existing 2 pairs of magnets. This modification can be done by anyone and involves no sewing. If you have a V3 with the old style magnetic riser covers and you would like a kit sent to you, please contact me at markk@uptvector.com. Another advantage of this modification is it reduces the "wrinkling" in the yoke of the old design. There is not cost for this modification kit. You will only be charged the shipping fee. Mark Klingelhoefer edited to add It might not be a bad idea to move this to "Gear and Rigging".

Will riggers raise thier prices on reserve repacks?
klingeme replied to AirWhore's topic in Gear and Rigging
The value of the things you just mentioned cost (and I'm rounding up) about 50 cents per pack job, so if the cost of said materials doubles and my repack goes up 50 cents, I'll understand. These are VERY nominal "costs". -

$32.50 an hour (assuming 2 hours for an I/R) is not a good wage? If you can do it for 40 hours a week, that is about $65,000 a year. Sound like a decent wage to me. Mark Klingelhoefer -
Or a move to keep another Dem in the senate, even though he is right leaning, to be closer to the filibuster proof majority. I'd call it more "Smart" than "Classy".

Well, I "need" a car to get back and forth to work, or the store, and I "need" gas to do that, and I can't drive without insurance so I "need" that too. Off the grid, bare bones supplies all your true "needs" everything else is "gravy". Do you think that in the "wild west" they got the oil for their lamps (their version of electricity) for free?

My advise is FedEx or UPS. Stay away from the USPS.

And Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jesse "The Body" Ventura, and Ronald Reagan winning an office were disturbing images at one time too.

Giving toggles to students? Was: Fatality - Skydive Orange

But this would involve extra time and back to backs would not be possible if the TI's actually have to talk to the students before they head to the plane. DZs have to want to have the students learn something and return for AFF and that could cut the amount of tandem passengers (not students) they can throw in a day. I personally went throught the IAF progression and learned a lot during those first 3 tandems, and it made me want to finish the program. Several years and 1300 jumps later, I'm glad the instructors took the extra time. Mark Klingelhoefer Edited to add: BTW, this is not meant as an opinion of how SD Orange operates, meerly an observation of what I've seen at several of the DZs I've visited. -
I think this is the reason that a lot of women are clean shaven. Sorry, had to bring some levity.

For those ov you without a bible handy Proverbs 31:7: Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more. 1 Thessalonians, 4:17: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Timothy 4:1-4. 1: Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2: Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3: Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4: For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

It's tradition. Obama is a Christian that has been documented in somewhat painful detail. There would be nothing hypocritical at all about him swearing in on the Bible. That said, there is no legal reason to do so. It's not required and in fact, fortunately, our Constitution specifically prohibits it from being required, but it doesn't rule it out either. Well, with the government saying who can and can't get married, they are not too separated from the church.

What's your point? Travel that occured before you were 10 years old hardly makes you "travelled", and I know as an "adult" McCain was much more Travelled. -

And the 10% swing this time? And the record turnout? The Dems gained voters in EVERY demographic except the over 65 crowd. And the record turnout primarily had to do with the empowerment of younger voters and the complete disgust with the last two terms. If you want to ignore that and cherry pick the rationale for the win then so be it. But crediting the win to some people who voted for Obama simply because of his race (ignoring the fact that some voted against him for the same reason) is disingenuous. Do you honestly believe that 10% of white voters (the same as the spike in black voters) were biggoted enough to not vote for him because he was black? I think it was not more like .5% or 1%, and it sickens me to think that 1 out of 100 or 200 could think this way. My reasons against Obama mainly revolve around my reproductive rights beliefs, and the fact that I believe Raising taxes on businesses will only pass these costs directly onto their consumers and every penny that is given to the "middle Class" will be spent with higher cost products and people will lose their jobs as the cost of doing business is increased. Personally, I would love it if the "glass ceiling" was shattered. Then we could judge people on their accomplishments (and years of service) rather than making a big deal about a female or a man of color running for president. -

Sen Obama's first trip to Iraq was 7-8 January 2006. I stand corrected, but the point still stands. -

No, it's about party affiliation for more than 40 years. i see your point with demo to rep votes...but tell me this, your chart showed that 88% of blacks voted for Obama, now lets say thats 88% of 2 million people...numbers may be off but bare with me... Now take that same 88% voted Rep (Bush) last election...but it was prolly only like 1 million that voted. I wasnt talking percentages, i was talking numbers, and like i pointed out before, Obama said it himself, people came out n record numbers to vote....meaning MORE people, people who havent cared in the past to vote because there wasnt a black president. Im not saying that ALL people voted fo rthis reson, yes some paid attention to the issues, some didnt want Palin in the White house.....but at least 30% of his votes...was for race...imo Whether it was 995 people out of 1000, 99,500 out 100,000, or 9,950,000 out of 10,000,000, it was still around 10% higher than previous elections. -

No, it's about party affiliation for more than 40 years. And the 10% swing this time? And the record turnout? Swing and record turnout was not restricted to blacks. YOU are showing YOUR colors here, and they are not very attractive. How else can the approximately 10% swing in the black vote be explained asside from clear racist action? I am all for getting elected based on your ideas, but to have almost every black person in the country (19 out of 20) vote for the man that happens to be black....... I personally am glad that the racial barrier has been shattered as the "glass ceiling" that Hillary and Palin had spoken about. Now time to roll back on things like scholorships based on race or sex. I'm all for everyone being equal and voting on substance rather than sex or race. Mark Klingelhoefer -
