A few years back, we, at Skydive Space Center, put together a "commercial" for KFC and their bite sized chicken for a contest they were having. We included actual in air video, but for the ground "simulated" shots (which were a guy on the roof of a van, leaf blower blowing in his face as we threw chicken nuggets at him) we did serveral "subtle" wuffo things to the rig like detaching one of the three rings. If it actually won the contest and got aired, we wanted Skydivers to enjoy it for a completely different reason. Mark Klingelhoefer -
No. If there was such a politically-motivated 'exodus', that would suggest that those officers and NCOs were there for purely partisan reasons. Rather than serving in order to support and defend the Constitution and the United States. VR/Marg Or how about having some respect for your "boss"? If I were in the Military, I'd prefer to have McCain in charge than Obama from a Military experience standpoint. But then again, Obama was a commuity organizer. Mark Klingelhoefer Mark. I know you. Were you in the military? If you were that is one scary thought. LOL I don't know how to take that No I was never in the military, so sorry I scared you there. Hope you slept alright last night.

Edited to keep the abortion discussion out of this thread. I vote none of the above, but that is not available so I'm obstaining. I don't like the fact that he will raise my Bosses Business tax, thus making the cost of a container go up, thus making sales go down, thus make me take a salary cut or me losing my job. You might notice i was asking the question if the A.D. license was a rule, not actually saying that IT IS because Olav said so. I understand and I was just clarifying it. A DZO might have a "Rule" but I don't think there is a "universal" rule or an "Official" rule. Mark

We do have the 319 that will fit a Velo 111, Katana 120, and a PD 126 (or OP 143). Mark Klingelhoefer
-
Also to be added, "because Olav said so" does not make a AD for skyball jumps a "worldwide rule" it is a good guideline, because of the HUGE responsibility of being a "Ball Master" but I do not know of any (I could be wrong) national skydiving orginization that says "you can't do this if you did not pay Olav". And who gives a shit what that old document says.
-
And having a running mate that says that if my guy gets elected, there will be at least one international crisis placed on him to test his "inexperience" isn't a problem.
-
Maybe she is just showing respect to Democratic asses.
-
Or it could be a little "bait and switch". We vote Obama and then BOOM (tricked ya).

I don't care what political party you are for, I am completely against Doing animals.

You got me thinking about my sh*tty English skills. Where is the adjective in "... an Arab"?? Sounds more like a substantive to me. OK, today I like to be the nitpicker "I don't trust Obama...he's an Arab." Obama is the subject, Arab is the adjective describing Obama. I'm pretty sure Arab is a noun when used in that way. It is. And "he" is used to describe an entire people, as you assert above? Cite. You should ask for a refund from whoever taught you to parse sentences. X is a Y. Y is the complement of X. McCain is a man. Man is a noun mnealtx is a skydiver. Skydiver is a noun. He is a skydiver. Skydiver is still a noun. Kallend is a professor. Professor is a noun. Billvon is an engineer. Engineer is a noun. McCain is a grumpy man. Grumpy is the adjective. Obama is an Arab. Arab is a noun. Obama is a Christian. Christian is a noun. Obama is an American Christian. American is an adjective. Wow that was awesome. I feel like I'm back in second grade English (or whatever grade I learned what a "part of speach" was)

what would happen if we closed down most of our overseas bases?
klingeme replied to TrophyHusband's topic in Speakers Corner
You're right there. Take a look at Holy Loch, Subic Bay, or Hamilton Air Force Base in CA. It took years to get to some semblance of normal when the base closed. While we're at it let's pull all the government contracts from local contractors too. Let the military handle it and just hire all the out of work people directly into the military. Then they could get the medical care and educational benefits and housing assistance. We could take a lesson from the Chinese and use our military as human traffic cones. What a great idea. How many soldiers can you hire if you just cancel one aircraft carrier? Yes I think we might be on to something here. We could use the Corp of Engineers to build roads and pipelines and the Sea Bees to drill for oil and gas. SEALS could take over for Baywatch and Delta could take over for SWAT. The Marines could secure our borders. Just pull the Reagan into Galveston Bay and let her generate electricity and desalinate water and house all the Hurrican refugees. Shut down the Red Cross and Salvation Army, let the Real Army do it. Kick those liberal bastards out of college administrations and make their campuses West Point, Annapolis, and Air Force Academy extensions. Think of all the factories we could build just to replace the goods we get cheap from overseas. Sure our standard of living might take a hit initially but once the military has taken over everything we won't have to worry too much about variety. I happen to like olive drab. This could be a great idea. Something Powell could really sink his teeth into. instead we should continue to spend the money on both simply because we always have. It's kind of like saying we can now make a container with only 3 sewers, but we will continue to use 35 just because we would not want anyone to lose their job. Forget the fact that it costs 11.6 times as much to do this, at least people will keep their jobs. edited to add This is completely hypothetical. -

You think the US should provide a mercenary army? To the highest bidder? Not exactly, but for the countries the we have deemed "worthy" of our miltary defense, have them foot the bill. -
Looks like a close one, every vote counts. Vote early (or often if you were registered by ACORN).

Or how about having the country we are "protecting" pick up the cost associated with maintaining the base? Kind of a "hired gun" -
