ok, you all have computers... every southpark episode can be downloaded off the net. you can do it either off of winmx or if you want to get it super fast (I have it downloaded in about 20 minutes right after the episode comes out) use the bitTorrent site www.mrtwig.net I'm only missing 6 episodes out of all of them. They are ones I'm not really interested in.

Who would choose skydiving as a career?

It definitely chooses you! It isn't for everyone. I like the freedom, the casualness, the flexibility. I've worked as a packer, a rigger and manifest office manager and also do massage therapy. I went back to corporate for a short time a few years back but I like to work in skydiving. I'll take the lower pay, no benefits over my old 401K plans any day. Mom and dad can't understand that, though... Skydiving itself has risen in popularity although you'll find that most dz's have had a decline in business. Weather in the northern states did a lot of damage this year to dz income and there are quite a few new dz's out there as well splitting up the pie. But take a look at advertising and movie stunts lately - skydiving is becoming a little more mainstream. -
Never worry about annoying people. If someone is a jerk when you are asking questions find someone else who is more amiable. BUT you might want to think about who you are asking too. Often it's the quieter, more low-key individual who has more actual useful knowledge and is willing to share when asked then the loud-mouthed, know it all. The funny thing is until you get more knowledge it's sometimes hard to recognize that the know it all is full of shit.

Pretty much every DZ has a New Year Party. Sebastian will too although I doubt we'll do midnight jumps. By the time it rolls around most of the people who thought it was such a great idea have changed their minds and are partying along with everyone else.

Steve and Rob from XL will be hosting a bigway weekend from January 16 - 18. They are going to start each day with a couple smaller groups and work on whatever it is that you RW people do so well. The groups will get bigger and be put together with the goal being lots of bigways on Sunday. They only have 18 slots available and the dropzone is giving discounted rates to the participants. I can be so lazy sometimes, like I couldn't have looked that up. Stop hurting yourself - you've got a hit & chug contest to compete in tomorrow. AND the DZ is going to match your prize because we are going to have two rounds - 1 for people who have never competed in a hit & chug.

Good call!! I really liked visiting the south west but I have to say that south east is pretty easy living. Gas is about 50 cents a gallon cheaper here, rent is cheaper, no marine layer - you can actually see the sun if we are comparing coastline to coastline. And if you move to Sebastian you've got about 6 or 6 other kick-ass dropzones within easy driving distance. You can do first load in Sebastian, Hit Lake Wales or Titusville and Deland for midday and still make sunset load at Z-hills.

I don't see what the problem is unless you were misleading in any way to the either one about your relationships. Basically, unless you've been keeping said ex kind of hanging on via email & phone and he doesn't know about current s.o. and vice versa - or if you deliberately misled current s.o. to cover up prior relationship - what is the problem? Very few people actually marry their first love and stay with them forever. We've all got ex's.

Oh not only is he going to come play with us, he is going to play for us. This time no stinking Holiday Inn Manager is going to shut us down by what was it? 11:00? If anyone wants it shut down it will be police or no deal.

The skyvan is still down for it's whatever they are doing to it right now. When it is ready for the trip south it will head this way. It will only be in Sebastian for a weekend a month. We didn't fly it enough last year. So if we want it back and want to jump it more - we need to drag our butts and all of our friends butts out to the airport and actually skydive as much as we can. I'll see if I can get any kind of actual schedule for it BUT even if I do - you know how those things are. By the time I type it here, it will already have changed and will keep on changing right up until the last second.

oh yeah, our computer at work has the Paris bug bad... some kind of pop-up, spy-ware crap makes it come up constantly and you can't just hit the x, you've got to ALt-F4 or alt-tab-delete that crap. I love I customers walk in and Paris Hilton and Jenna pop up on the screen in front of them. Anyone know how to find where those cookies are stored and get rid of them? It isn't in the regular cookie/temp area.

As long as you are current and a USPA member - you don't have to have a license. You are just limited in conditions and who you can jump with. So that is not an excuse!! Besides if it's all signed off on, we can fax your license from the office. What else ya got?

Lisa wants to practice her new found canopy skills and it's been a few weeks since we've had more than a couple dz.commers kicking around here so we've decided to throw a little pre-holiday fun everyones way.
