Going to FLorida in March . . . which DZ?
bendywendy replied to sdgregory's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Yes, it's true. Pink Mafia, PD, Birdman, DJ's for the night time and whatever else we come up with in the meantime.. -
What do you think the katana is going to be like?
bendywendy replied to frankiebrina's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I love my Crossfire 2 - can't say the same about my original crossfire. But you can not touch PD quality! If I wasn't already falling in love with my Velocity demo I would probably order a Katana just on the word of the people that have test jumped it. -
Florida would be the choice. Where else can you go from one world class dz to another to another to another and so on. You fly in and rent a car. You can hit Sebastian, DeLand, Lake Wales, and Z-Hills. If you aren't happy with one go on to another. They are all good dropzones.

trip to florida, what will we need?
bendywendy replied to Jumpmunki's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
check out the Key West Inn. www.hirams.com to stay at. I know it's hard to rent a car if you are under 25 but it can be done. I'll see if I can find some info out for you. If you aren't coming until November we've got some time. -
Any Spyderco or Benchmade knife owners among the skydivers?
bendywendy replied to peacefuljeffrey's topic in The Bonfire
Spyderco Endura & Delica -
Actually, since you are in Florida you need to visit at least a few dz's. How can you come to a state that has so many great dropzones and only stop at one. You are very close to Sebastian and DeLand right now. Sebastian has a beautiful view of the coastline and DeLand is a bustling, busy place. Then if you've got time you can shoot across the state and hit Lake Wales and Z-hills.

I would completely have to agree with that one!

If you're still a hottie and you still know it....
bendywendy replied to alanab's topic in The Bonfire
Hey, that's me in the shower - so hold the soap jokes. I think that was after being in the freezing cold pool at 3 am, if I remember correctly. I can't remember if I got thrown in or not. I usually do, though, I should be used to it by now. -
oh yeah, chocolate chip cookie dough - especially the bars....mmmmmm.....

What's the best year round dropzone weather wise?
bendywendy replied to dsbbreck's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Sebastian - beautiful, laid-back, close to the beach... -
training, training, training - people are just ignorant when it comes to animals. The dog is a pack animal - if you aren't in charge he or she is. Your friend is clueless and the dog will never learn proper behaviour and either the entire household will run around the dog or it will just escalate until something has to be done about it.

*** Well, it's good to know you girls and guys go for in depth relationships, rather than shallow, casual short term stuff based on appearance Hmmm... my statement did come off as very shallow but that isn't really it. Appearance is the first thing that you notice about someone. Personality is the most important, though. They can be the most beautiful, hardbodied godlike individual but if their personality sucks - so what? It's their attitude about life. Most of those poor sods my own age (not all, I know a few - very few) act like they are already done with it. They've given up and settled and don't care anymore. I think I scare them, too. They think I'm great at first until they realize that if they want to hang with me - they have to actually expend some energy - get up and do something - have some damn fun - at least pretend that they enjoy life. I'm more active and in better shape than most of the women I've met in my life that are almost half my age. I'm full of more energy and more spontaneous. That is probably why I've been with younger guys lately. I don't deliberately look for them and they don't realize that I'm as old as I am. Whatever works - who cares?

I am 99% sure that we can hook you up. Melbourne is only 30 minutes away. I can work the schedule out so one of us can swing by and get you. Just remind me again closer to the date - seriously, we'll make sure you get here. -
Yes, Happy Birthday Denise! AND I will remember this post when Wrongway shows up and be sure that it happens through the magic of the manifest computer....

Only until you yourself become older. Of course, if you are in your mid to late 20's dating younger guys - what are you dating 18 - 22? You can't be an older woman yet! You need to be at least 28 preferably in your mid 30's before you really qualify. Otherwise if you are dating seriously younger (not just 2-5years which shouldn't even count as younger) you are probably breaking several state laws.

oops, I'm sorry! I meant all of those things at once though. You can lose a little hair, gain a little weight, pop out a few kids (I guess, if you really must) and get married but guys my age have all of those things at once! Hey - when you coming back for a visit - the weather is great now! You can actually skydive as much as you want.

who has had zero g in a jump ship?
bendywendy replied to Newbie's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
About 4 years ago they had really cool Casa pilots at Lake Wales. If I'd done enough jumps, I would go in the jump seat. We'd throw out the jumpers, close the tailgate and the copilot and I would throw ourselves all over the back of the plane while the pilot pulled multiple 0 g's on descent. Ahhh!!! the good old days... -
why, yes I was in it the other week - no benches. It's actually kind of comfortable on the floor.

shit, if you are giving away all that - then I am definately picking you up. Except for the beer part - I hate beer! -
When I was in my early 20's I always dated older men. Now that I'm older - I always date younger - lately quite a bit younger. I don't chase them, they chase me and it just happens that way. Guys my age are married with kids, losing their hair, with a spare tire around the middle for the most part. And Casie - you may think you are at your peak now - but it just keeps getting better.
-
whatever!! just wear that shirt - the compliments will come rolling in. And I just did that chinese thing - I'm a Dragon - only my opinion matters or didn't you know that?

Ahh!! Melbourne is much closer. We shouldn't have too much of a problem getting you here from there. Most likely I can schedule it so that are enough of us on that we can pick you up. -
Excellent, I'm actually off but unless I decide to run off somewhere tonight - I'll come in to jump tomorrow. Have I ever even jumped with you?

Two wonderful but completely different kind of boogies. Figure out what you want more.
