MARCH 19 - 21 - SEBASTIAN BOOGIE

looks like we'll be having one of those weird science kind of parties.... -
A .22 will drop an intruder just as fast as a 9mm or 38 will if you hit them in the heart or the head. It used to be a favorite weapon that 'mafia' types used for executions. You shoot the person in the back of the head, it enters but doesn't have the force to exit most of the time so richochets around in there. Very inexpensive and less messy, I guess.

I own several. I grew up in rural america. I learned to shoot and if I had found that I liked game meat I would have hunted but I'm an animal lover and don't like any wild meat that I've ever tasted. I have shot skeet and just did alot of target practice. I also used to go on overnight camping/horseback riding trips and went out into back woods alone and I did carry a gun with me at that time. I wouldn't shoot bambi but I would certainly shoot any person who backed me into the corner and I had turned it into a him/her or me situation. I used to own a ridiculous number of guns with an ex-husband who was a collector and dealer. Now I only have one pistol and one rifle (which was a handed down two generations to me).

Portia, thank you so much. come back - where did I see you last? Was it here, Z-hills or DeLand? Just let me know and we'll set you up in style. oh yeah - and beach jumps will depend on the interest in them. If everyone wants to do them and we have transport people we can do loads all day long if there isn't a lot of people we'll do them in the afternoon or closer to sunset. I'm still working out all the details with the Sheriff's department about exactly where we can land and what we need to do to keep everyone happy so that we don't lose the privilage of beach jumps again. -
It's posted in my profile as is all my information so that people know who the hell I am. I earned it, I did the jumps, I continue to jump. I got it in the old 200 days but since I've got closer to 900 now I've more than earned it. I didn't get the D to be able to say I had it. I got it because I wanted to be able to do jumps that were sometimes restricted to D license holders. Certain demo jumps, beach jumps, really windy days when we go on licenses holds - things like that.

I work at a dropzone. I just did a check - D 272 according to the USPA database belongs to Bob Sinclaire. Since you don't seem to know your own information - if you are Sarah Ann Brolly - here you go you have the license listed below direct from uspa.org USPA # Last First Membership Expires Licenses Ratings & Expirations Region 083061 Brolly Sarah Ann 10/31/2003 D-017592 Western

God, I love it when my friends like you come over. Do you realize I've been hidinig four curley wurleys for about two months now because there has been a shortage. (I think that I have some more coming in soon, though and with you I'll be set for quite some time). Sunnydee - you will still be coming out whether or not Greg does? I still owe you some jumps... -
Nice - yes, I smell nice. So quit procrastinating book the tix's and come on over to the states where our dropzones team with festering cold sores. In response to - shoot don't remember who about their being freaked out. - How do you know your girlfriend has never had one. I haven't had many but I've had it - like I said shingles falls into the catagory. Most people don't realize that the little fever blister they get when they are sick is part of it too. As someone earlier stated you can carry the virus and never have an outbreak - it usually only manifests itself when you are already rundown and sickly. Anyways, I'm out of this conversation after this. Yes, cold sores are gross. Be careful if you have one. Wash your hands so you don't infect yourself in other areas or anyone else. Don't kiss anyone and definately, definately do not have oral sex. Other than that grow up - it's not a big deal and someone who has one is already self conscious enough without having anyone give them shit.
-
Don't make me hurt you - because you know that I am a mean person deep down inside. No, wait I'm normally mean but deep down inside I'm really nice. No wait.... I don't know I'm confused but I know that I do have a mean streak and I will hurt you! I'll even turn Kuma against you. So have you got your damn ticket for March Madness yet, Cootie Boy!

I'm starting to think that she just has a really crazy sense of humor. That she is a master troll - not just a little trolling - but that she is just here to stir the pot. Another one with very little info in the bio - could just be a fake identity. It's something Zeemax would do. You know we love you Zee - even when you have big oozing, pussy coldsores crawling all over your face.
-
Talk to me in the summer. I already did my pity trip to the cold north this winter. I can't believe I once lived in Vermont. Florida makes good skydivers but turns us into wussies. (Is that how wussy is spelled?)
-
What took you so long. I expected to see something shortly after you got off the plane. By the way, it's sunny and warm - not too hot - just right. I know I'm mean. Pass on the handshake - loser. AND Nicole and I both want to beat you because that damn song is stuck in our head and Bob is still upset that he doesn't have his own song.

He's not actually in South Beach - the dropzone is on Lake Okeechobee in Pahokee - very different than South Beach. Quit worrying so much. If you're so scared of being infected lock yourself in your bubble suit and spray disinfectant at anyone who comes near you. Most people are infected as children actually - when everyone thinks they have to kiss and touch them. It is passed more easily by hand than by mouth. Don't worry about kissing someone with one their face - worry about shaking their hand. If they touch the open sore and don't wash their hand - there you go. There are many differnt types of infection although it is all lumped into the same catagory. I have had a cold sore - it was from being exposed to shingles (my father had it) - which is adult chicken pox. Chicken pox is a herpes virus - hate to tell you - so you can stop with veneral disease psychobabble. I've only gotten a cold sore a few times when I've already been sick and my immune system is low. I wouldn't even think to kiss anyone while I had one and I take great care to constantly wash my hands since you are far more likely to cross infect yourself. (You have to wash your hands before you go to the bathroom if you have one - if you want to play it safe.) You keep harping about everyone being mean to you, yet since I have had a cold sore through no fault of my own, have always been careful to be safe when I have had one - I find your posts offensive. In biblical days you'd be the one stoning the lepers if they came near your town. And since when does anyone know everything about skydiving? Those are the people who scare me - when you think you have nothing to learn from anyone - you've stopped growing.

If you are that worried about the dz equipment - I wouldn't jump there. I would let a student pull the reserve at the end of the day providing they pay for the reserve repack. Then it isn't down during business hours and it isn't costing us anything. However, that is also unneccessary wear on the reserve as well. The less it is opened up and packed and dragged around the better - providing it is stored well and maintained properly. They really wont know what they are looking for other than an actual parachute being in there but if there is a seal on the rig - there is a parachute in there.

You can't buy kick ass Pantz and then lose weight - what the hell? Anyways, more news....for the boogie. For you belly type peeps... Roger Ponce will be here organizing! For VRW peeps... we have Cisco Neri and Chris Lynch. They will be available for load organizing, coaching and AD tests. -
Yup, a sharpei They have plenty of hair and it's super soft. They do sometimes get skin problems and stinky, though. They are like a really obese person that can't clean between all the rolls of skin and develops problems. Yuck that's gross - why did I think of that?
-
It's an ass fetish in general - the food is just a bonus. Sorry, no DD's last night, KatieBear. We took the lost boy out to Cpt. Hirams but everyone was very well behaved last night. He has important business to take care of today, and the rest of us were just plain wussy - well, that and I was driving. But I feel it coming on - I can't believe I didn't call you the other week. I think I was having difficulty handling the phone. Showers??? I don't know what you are referring to , Cake girl!
-
Hmmmm..... it could happen - in the summer maybe - no way at this time of the year!
-
So I just picked up Wrongway at the airport and brought him back to the dz. Can I give him back now? I think we've already determined he is trouble.

It's all that galavanting all over the country you've been doing and being sick and probably - wait - didn't you have company out here? Which by the way if you brought that person out to the dz I never saw them. Come to think of it I don't think we saw you at all.... hmmm.... how much weight did you lose? -

of course not! It was bad enough they drove me around on the back of the truck while announcing that drinks were on me that evening. (they fooled me into thinking they were helping me pick up the cutaway. Details were an awesome jump - Jari was zipping all around me the whole time and at pull time everything went well, I felt a few line twists as the bag came off - I didn't really slow down as much as I could have to deploy and then bammm!! break fire! spinning on my back with line twists. I took one look at my arms zipped up in the sleeves and said screw this - I've always wanted to use my reserve. The cutaway was so much fun and everything landed neatly around the dz. Since then I fixed my toggle keepers so that when dumping in a track (because of wingsuit not just because I'm a boob) that the toggle doesn't get bumped out. It works great now. It bums me out though because when I jump birdman I have to take the Velocity off so the swooping suffers and I'm not working on my freeflying so that starts to get rusty too. BUT it is awesome!! -
Make sure you READ the waiver!
bendywendy replied to billvon's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
While it's true that there can be loopholes found in almost any contract. You would be surprised by how often larger dropzones are sued and how often these waivers we all complain about have held up and kept frivolous lawsuits from putting the dropzones out of business. It always amazing me when I go to a dz like DeLand and there wavier is almost non-existant. California it's on video and Sebastian and CrossKeys both have long detailed waivers. Both of those have been put to the test. -
Bad spot? How about level 4 landing offshore in Lake Okeechobee? That was a pretty bad spot. No, I didn't sue. We aren't talking about a few yards from shore either. I was picked up by a boater. No I wouldn't sue for anything to do with a spot. You've got two eyes you can take a look down on exit and you can take a look during the skydive and pull higher if you need to. Granted I didn't know any of that on Level 4 AFF but...I did chose the best spot to land in the water - as close to the boat as I could get. Skydiving is risky. You are responsible for yourself. Look down, pull higher, pick your spot and go for it. Make sure that you are comfortable landing whatever you are jumping in a tiny backyard strewn with obstacles. Don't blame other people if you get hurt. just in case it wasn't clear I am very agains sueing unless as the one person wrote it was extreme negligence in cutting corners on plane maintenence & idiocy like running out of fuel - I probably would still be against sueing but would be slightly more understanding about it.
