MARCH 19 - 21 - SEBASTIAN BOOGIE

you have kept that beast well leashed. Nice Pantz by the way! Mine are too damn big! Jari even measured me for them but I guess they must have figured those measurements couldn't be correct and did their own thing. You can be short, slender and have long legs - why is that so hard for clothing people to figure out. OOOOOhhhhhhhhh!!! I forgot - we got to start working on getting all those BirdChickies to bring their suits to this boogie and do a BirdWoMan Load out of the Skyvan. Any BirdGirls out there coming? -
The President can not do anything he wants. He is a pawn for the most part - you're watching too many movies. Why am I arguing? I hate politics....

Yes, free tent camping (actually you put down a deposit that you get back when you pack it up and leave). PinkMafia girls will be here. Possibly another DJ for Friday night as well - that just in! Bytch - are we referring to the party animal that left his tracks on the deck? Might he be surprising us? -
the sunset load will have room BUT I spent the day with the Sheriff and we will have Beach jumps back on line for the March Madness but highly doubtful that we will have authorizations worked out by this weekend. He said there was a possibility but extremly thin... I'm trying... once we get it going again - it will be every weekend but it's taking a bit to get all the authorities to agree on what we can do and where we can land.

HELLO!! It isn't the President. He isn't looking at a map pointing a finger saying - oh, yeah clear out this area and this area and this area. It is whatever staff is in charge of the President's security - Secret Service and they work from a set of protocols. I don't like or dislike our President but it isn't him personally responsible for deciding what gets shutdown. His only option is to barricade himself in the whitehouse and not go out. Where ever he goes they clear the area. So maybe we could ask him to please not go near any skydiving centers because it really pisses us off but... Look at the good side - if you know you are shut down everyone gets to go out and have a good time together. During 9/11 CrossKeys got shutdown for extra time because of their location. I had all the jumpmasters up to my house in Vermont (lived there at the time). Took them all to my work (The Land Rover Driving School) and let them all do the off-road driving course, The British School of Falconry, A Fly-fishing Course and a night of spelunkinig. It sucked that they were out of work but we made the most of it.

: we have the best looking manifest staff at SDS ***oh my! What are you up to? Do you owe money on your account and you are buttering us up?

hello, take a little road trip and say hello to everyone else, too!! Is Josh and/or Dennis part of the Chicago group? I lived in Lake Wales years ago and remember being invaded by Chicago peeps every year.
-
Yeah, it is great except that it rarely actually happens! If it does - you need to go. It isn't the kind of boogie where you can do a lot of jumps. The landing area is a bit away from the airport but they are awesome jumps and just a fun time.

thanks, I had the phone out to call Jari and ask but just hadn't gotten to it yet. -
You need to come to Sebastian more often. We have the inside track on all Hersheys products. One of our very special jumpers brings manifest boxes and bags of chocolates from work. Some are existing product not marketed in this country. some are new products they are trying out. We had the s'mores ages ago - My favorites are these crunchy little chocolate cookie bars he brings that they sell in other countries. They also make it in the kiss form. we are spoiled and I'm just glad that I don't like a lot of chocolate or I'd weigh about 300 pounds with all the stuff he gives us. Fortunately, for everyone else it means I give most of it away.

Well, you don't need anything special to land at the dz. We are a USPA dz so you either need a USPA membership or your own countries membership with third party liability insurance. If you don't have that then we can hook you up with a USPA Temporary membership. Beach Jumps are a C license with 200 jumps and water floatation. Our beaches are long (as in the entire coastline of Florida long) but narrow so we like our jumpers to be proficient canopy pilots as they may be landing crosswind on a narrow strip of slanted beach if it is high tide. As for BirdMan jumps - I'm not sure if you are doing BirdMan for the first time, I think they have a minimum of 200 jumps but - if I wasn't so lazy - I'd switch over to their website and check that out. I'll get back to you on that.... I just did my first one the other month in DeLand with Jari. It was incredible and the cutaway was equally fun! AND I did buy my beer for my first cutaway. Technically second but the first was intentional. I've done a few more since then (without the cutaway). If you get the chance do it, do it, do it. -
when you are picking your day - keep in mind that Friday is $15.00 to 15,000 feet BUT Saturday night will have several DJ's and a BBQ dinner. I don't know - a day might just be cutting it too close besides there will be lots of dz.commers here.

oh thank you. I was going to beg someone to update it for me. I'm off to the beach right now to go see where we can land. I'm working with the Sheriff's department to get us a closer landing area. -
I vote Sebastian (of course). I did AFF years ago at Pahokee (SoBe) - sorry, a sunset here is every bit as beautiful. But don't choose just one - at the very least do Sebastian, DeLand and Z-hills.

She could get lost for days in the Mall at Millenia or Millenia Mall whatever it's called, in Orlando. She could also spend huge $$$ there - one whole wing of the mall is all designers - big designers... it could be dangerous. -

Well Fridays are $15.00 to 15,000 feet - yippeee!!!! The rest of the event they are regular price (19.00) but there is no registration fee either. And we may have a very special mystery dj appearing on Saturday night as well. Nothing definite yet and we wont be able to advertise if it does happen but keep your ears open because if they come - you wont want to miss it.... -
And how exactly does anyone benefit from this discussion? Those kind of people will always be there. Deal with it. If you're worried about your guy being lead astray by this person then either you've got trust issues or they don't deserve to be trusted. The 'other' girl or guy is always out there. It isn't just on dropzones it is in everyday life. It's the next door neighbor or your best friend. Don't get involved in a relationship that you don't feel comfortable trusting that they can resist such temptations because they aren't going to go away. she tried it in the woman's forum and it got the boot...

The 4th Puerto Rico Freefall Festival

sorry, I missed it this year. I'll be back next year, though! -
Stacey did a great job! We do not have SDU here anymore. They are located at DeLand still, though. We do however still do coaching and we still have two members of Sebastian XL located at the DZ who coach and do tunnel training as well. (Steve and Rob). So It is up to you? We'd love to have you here or if your heart is set on SDU give them a call at DeLand and they will take care of you. 4-500 is not a huge budget if you are looking to do coach jumps and tunnel time. It is expensive but well worth it.

WHOA!! Now you say Homer is the best ever?? Homer? He's pretty good but he's no match for Cartman. Come on Pepsi & Cartman outmatch Coke & Homer any day. Have I successfully hijacked your thread yet?
-
Quitter attitude? No, but I lived in Maine when Bush used to fly in & out of Pease. You will not get this changed. You can write and complain all you want - it isn't going to happen. If it is regards to the President's security - you are SOL! I just don't waste my time flogging a dead horse... so to speak. Quitter - I'll show you a quitter - come on out here - I'll go - wanna go???? Who was shutdown in FL anyways?
-
Very good point. Dumb people seem to be luckier, though...maybe because they rely on it more (ie, lottery winners.) I don't know about this thread because I don't care about money - of course, I've never been to the point where I've been completely down and out - however... VAL - COKE AND PEPSI ARE NOT THE SAME THING!!!
