1. Do you feel comfortable with it? Can you handle its opening without your hands on risers?
2. I took Brian Germain's (advanced) canopy control course last weekend. It was awesome! He is an exceptional teacher. I was a bit confused before the course about what skills to grow, now I see a clear path in front of me. He knows both sides of the coin very well: technical and human. If you have a chance to share some quality time with one of the most experienced skydiver and canopy pilot do not let is slip away.
3. Do you think, that planform describe everything about a canopy? Do you know that even the PD Navigator is not a square canopy?
4. Define identical! Some kind of projection of those canopies can be close in area. If the airfoil is thiner there could be less material used for ribs. For the planform: I guess Katana has only 4 D lines/side vs. there is 5 D lines /side on Sabre2.
5. They should be tidy. There could be tension knots e.g. if they are not tidy.
6. Something else than twisting my statement?
7. You have almost got my message. He has stated that line stows are not so important. I think they are. They seem to be quite foul proof for us , lousy packers...
8. It is quite simple. Check . You can find tech. specs. there.
9. Perhaps your low cfm material is not low cfm yet, but it will be soon.
10. I'm really green with flying a camera. I don't charge them and I may share the video on the net( google video ).
11. Perhaps you should read this: http://www.dropzone.com/fatalities/Detailed/36.shtml Catching the cataway parts while under canopy can be very dangerous .... So? It was not about catching a main. BTW it was not the only mistake that experienced jumpers did.
12. Wow! I can tell you your theory checks out with my case. Free bag was between the place of the act and the main. Well done!
13. Line stows seems to be the safest way for our monkey packers. AFAIK it takes more than 90 minutes to pack a reserve. How can you expect the same precision and responsibility for a 10 minute pack job?
14. Thanks for the video! Had FAA some words for that? I'd like to try it, but I was told that is not legal in Finland.... Some people tied to legalize, but they failed.
15. Is the next step that you would require the wing suit manufacturer to publish a tab skip table for all H/C in all sizes? Let me give you a hint, skip that makes the best fit on your H/C.
16. As long as you do not face anything like this Nice, you might end up with a partially landable canopy under your hard deck. Know your priorities! Flying in brakes does not give any advantage at all. Only thing I would do before check is steer away and avoid collision.
17. I see a man BASE jumping in a Prodigy and camera in the leg. Well, I can not imagine anything higher profile stunt.
18. How can you do controllability check without unstowing your brakes? You can unstow your brakes, do you checks and float after that.
19. Is this and that enough evidence for you?
20. Have you found the reason? Was it really faster on DVD playback?
21. Can you tell me where can I get miniDV tapes for 2 Euros, please?
22. Look at [ url "http://spidernest.ath.cx/gallery/p81/20060707030_G"]this. What is wrong with that? Or you can slide it into your ROL pouch and put something over it as a plug like a piece of sock or something similar.
23. I jump a Cobalt and Pilot with wing suit. Can it be time for reline?
