Be positive! Its not a race or test. You'll pass the level if you are ready for that.

New photos online: Scary Perry Invitational @ Sebastian

Wow! You had high-time! -
H2 is a bit inflammable. AFAIK all H2 blimps burned or exploded.
-
99% of the time you are landing out to some unknown area without wind indication, ground crew etc. So you will be on your own. Most likely you will jump when the balloon pilot say so.

How about not touching the risers? I would expect a tapered canopy open without baby sitting. You first opening was not on heading anyway. Are your 5 nice openings are the proof or the exception?

Here is my bullet camera mounted on a Z1 fullface helmet. There still lots of work to do with it.

I had a baggy FF suit with wings, but it was made for me this way. -
Backflying with tandems (Was Rocky Point injury)
phoenixlpr replied to davepend's topic in Safety and Training
His age can be a factor why he is not listening. Some kind of injury can be a cure for his ego. It can help him to walk again on the ground and not floating over it. I'm happy that teenies here don't have funds to make e.g. more than 50-100 jumps a year. They might have some chance to grow up and get experienced in the same time. -
I have classic toggles only and they are working really fine for me. I like them, because I can stick back my toggles to the velcro if I need to use my hands for something else.

Backflying with tandems (Was Rocky Point injury)

You 2 seem to find a nice, strong grip on him. -
Windows, a lot of times and for whatever reason, likes to treat 1394 controllers as network devices. My WAG is that in his particular configuration, when he installs the card, Windows is assigning it as his default connection to the internet. The solution probably lies somewhere in the network control panel, and might require some tinkering. I can't investigate any more specifically, however, as I don't have a Windows machine anymore. Because you can have networking protocols over IEEE1394, but only for XP. It should not be a problem for DV connection.

First post, but I am no troll. I'm simply an once in a while skydiver who remembers the military issuing this type of knife to jump qualified personnel, and was wondering if this was acceptable still in the skydiving community. Ok. We can jump any knife, but I usually jump with a hook knife only, even crappy plastic ones.

This is a gps data of my last WS flight. Point78: altitude: 1592.1m time: 100s Point82: altitude: 1428.7m time: 105s Distance point78-point82: 155m speed(H):30.8 m/s Altitude loss: 163.4m speed(V):32.68 m/s velocity: 44.90 m/s , 161.64 km/h, 100 MPH, 87 knots I would not consider this as subterminal velocity. I fall rate is about 190-200 km/h on my belly anyway.
-
Wrong! Go and do you math! Slow vertical fall rate does not mean slow velocity. You have a decent horizontal velocity. I can dig you some real world numbers.
-
Wow! That's a nice trick!

How can I improve my back flying? Backfly Video by Tero Paukku.
-
3-4 from the left rear group. I can not remember the exact lines anymore, it was 3,5 years ago and I de-lined the canopy last year.
-
I've cut my arm with a zipper on opening up.... I can post pictures tomorrow. It was just a plastic zipper on a PF suit.
-
I had 4 broken lines, cut-away and long missing canopy after a hard opening. It was not painfull, but I could hear ding-ding....ding. It was on a Merit 170 and I did not played with the nose. My WL was under 1.4.
