  1. Thanks a lot for you oppinions! I see it clear, that aborting under 180 degree is easy landing can be according the pattern. How about aborting a so called "left"(right turns only) 270 approach? Is there any phase when you are moving against other with std. pattern?
  2. You can still drop some altitude without leaving your corridor in final with minimal heading change.
  3. Do you think that the fact that you may have canopy with even worst opening makes you feel better? There are canopies with better opening and no packing tricks required.

  5. There are dangerous thoughts like: Failing seems to be a state of mind.
  6. ???? AFAIK I had no statement about bowling.
  7. Your key can be lots of practice and consistency. We may talk about it, but you are going to have the feeling after enough practice. All you have to do is make an estimate of the size of the pattern depending on the wind and fly it.
  8. You might get a small neon-orange cone. Its easy to use and highly visible.
  9. Was the wing load a question here? Do you know what size of canopy is he jumping? Because size does matter!
  10. And does everyone use your standard pattern ? Here's at least one variation.... From Australian Parachute Federation B license Manual EXERCISE 10. LANDING: The novice plans a landing approach from around 2000’ to simulate a normal jump using the “J” approach method as the target is always in view. The approach is commenced at an altitude of approx. 500 feet, upwind of the target and parallel to the wind line. A turn onto the “base” leg should be made around 350 feet, by performing a 90-degree turn across the wind, downwind of the target. A further 90-degree turn onto the final approach into wind is made at about 150 feet. If I don't do a high speed approach I fly std. left pattern.
  11. So you think that you can not hurt yourself in the tunnel. You should ask tunnel instructors for possible incidents.
  12. Are you talking abut some doing Style and Accuracy only?
  13. Stop and think!!!! v1.4 or v1.6 is dependig the camera you want to use with.Once again for you: CameyeII is for recording with the camera in tape mode(built in camera), Cameye Sport is for using your camcorder as a VCR.
  14. AFAIK last turn in std. pattern is on 100m. Do you have a visual altimeter, don't you? You should be really busy under your big'O canopy.
  15. Depends. I have the lowest on 100m. I start my 90 approach about 80-90m on my Pilot. . If a canopy is trimmed flat.... They had to draw time line somewhere.
  16. Great! He might have your landing skills.
  17. Stay away from CRW canopies. Those are not for student. That is a well known fact that CRW canopies not designed from landing. Id not buy an accuracy or old F1-11 canopy either. Get a ZP or a hybrid canopy!
  18. Your 3 ring system acts as a level, or actually 3 lever connected. So the cut-way cable does not have to handle of the weight of yours, but its still holding the rings in place and you can release it easily if it is necessary. # rings system won't release as long the cables in their place.
  19. Is this the topic of the thread? Why a hell do you want lower alarms?
  20. They might able to repace it with CameyeII.
  21. Don't you think that its high time to turn to final at least 100m?
  22. Sorry, I was thinking about that option too. I could not put it there afterwards.
