Are you aqusing me with Thoughtcrime, Big Brother? Statistics do not matter as long you are not a part of it.

Are those coming with some http://www.skydiveu.com/ publication? -
Is that your way to face your fears by reading statistics? Just curious...

So, now you should be surprised..... Auto off could be a major impact on user experience. Why do you think it could have been dropped out from the user manual only?

What does "right hand pattern" mean to swoopers?
phoenixlpr replied to 78RATS's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
May be. What is the reason to build up confusion? If someone says that he is landing with left pattern I expect counter-clockwise rotation only for landing for landing. From his/her position and altitude and the wind or landing direction I might predict his/her landing. If you start call left as right..... -

Do you want to tell me that you start you right 90 or left 270 from the same point(same altitude)? -
Most of them are giving up even they would have some talent. I was not a simple student either. I got warnings and groundings, but none told me that I should have given up. I would not tell anything like that if I would be an instructor.

Visual for Swooping (Was - audible for swooping?)
phoenixlpr replied to Bolas's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
I'm feeling lucky. I got mine wet last Sunday. I have an Optima. I'm not sure if it would be more waterproof with the silicone case after seeing the battery holder, but if the say I believe so. I still don't take with me if I might get wet. -

I see your point, but can see mine. It's not getting from A to B. Flying is 3D, so what to do with paper? Trace does matter. Looking for some grip? Taking it personal? -
How about having zippers with double cars on the leg wing? It would be really nice in the hot time to close the lower with the bootie and open the higher end for ventilation, because that is easier to reach.

flying a landing pattern consisting of 3 distinct legs: downwind, crosswind/base and upwind/final and doing right hand 90 degree turns between each leg this person flew the same pattern as someone doing just 90s right for every turn ???? If you have 3 parts like: downwind, crosswind/base and upwind/final you can make only 2 turns between them. So thats still left even the downwind and base leg is really short. ***this person flew the same pattern as someone doing just 90s right for every turn That is my all time favorite, same, but.... -

I see, so too much airspeed can cause problem of sensing the difference between left and right, right? -
Skydiving with Military boots VS Hangwags

The weakest point of your body is your ankle. It does not really matter what you take on. I know a man who jumps with bare feet in warm time. He had no injuries of any kind. You should wear some closed shoes as a student, comfortable(warm enough) and without snag points. Ankle support is not really significant. Canopy control and landing position/PLF is much more important. -
That canopy? So? Hundreds of them are sold per year. Why do you think that one would make any difference? edit: Ops. wrong clipboard...

I might have a 6000m jump in 2 weeks. 60 Euros is a bit high price for that. I'm not sure if I would take it.
