    What was preventing you from kicking the other direction? Probably the inertia from the twisting of the lines. If Im hanging still its not that easy to get the momentum. Its not a big deal to get rid of the line twist on a big'O student/square canopy.

    Are round canopies ok for you? Why don't you jump them? You can find and old ZP cheap that flies and lands better.

    Stay away from those even if you are really broke. I can find better canopies easily.

    There are other countries too where some part of the gear (H/C, reserve)has limited, 20 years or shorter life cycle.

    You don't even need uneven risers. Do a hard riser turn after opening when breaks are still set..... The turn/dive might not stop by itself....

    There are countries where skydiving rules contain prohibition of smoking in a certain perimeter. I hate smoking around skydiving rigs. I don't know what those would think if I would start playing with fireworks next to their rig or jump suits....

    Look: even a NAvigator 220 can be swooped .You can learn lots of things on that canopy too: landing in rears, rears to toggle transition...

    Do you have the your E-licence jumpers in the training harness in every 3 month? Because we have our students there and practicing emergency procedures hundreds of times..... thats way we expect to save their lives and they have RSL installed too. Muscle memory and emergency training works.

    I had the same opinion on Cobalt before my first cut-away from a line twist and that was not a wing suit jump. I still love my Cobalt, but I have more respect for her. Its a bit ground hungry for me at WL 1.6. I think I would jump a bigger Cobalt with wing suit.
