  1. What suit are you flying? I fly a Phantom. Its really easy to get back under control if I do a big arch and loosen my leg wing, everything goes back to normal than I can return to normal flight position. I think that the wider leg stand can improve stability of the suit.
  2. 1.: always 2.: because I have to 3.: my instructors 4.: from my first jump.
  3. As long as remember manufacturer was denying even that could happen..... until someone has died.... They were keep on telling that you are not able to reach those speeds under canopy.
  4. I'd rather go for proper tools for proper training. An intermediate canopy can be stalled. Good enough. Are you saying an intermediate canopy is the proper tool for stall training? At least better than something designed for being almost impossible to stall. I did my stall training on an old 300+ sqft, 9cell, F1-11 canopy. I don't think they could be common nowadays.
  5. Sure, and someone had to die for Airtec GmbH start dealing with a well known problem of their design.....
  6. Wow! I became secretly a Vidiot by the age of 6.

  8. I did the same with Navigator 220. I got an ankle surgery. Good luck!
  9. I don't worry at all. Once I got my gear back after reserve packing when main was not hooked up properly... So? I have fixed it.
  10. Hey phoenixlpr, that's a good question. How would you cut your crap away? - David I did. I got some reserve rides, but still here and jumping too. You might have some chance to become an old skydiver if you don't put yourself into the corner....
  11. I have not doen CReW yet, but I hope there is a difference betwwen an experienced CRW dog and a student.... Can you see some?
  12. Was it your task to do? Has it been given by your instructor? If the shit hits the fan, how would you cut your crap away? Thats just like a nomination for Darwin award!
  13. What is your point? Humans may make mistakes, you know.
  14. The "45 degree rule" is not just a bad idea, it's dangerous, and according to many posts over the years, is still being taught by some instructors. A student should have 100% trust in his/her instructors. I think it is very important. Everyone should make up his/her mind later on. A licensed skydiver should not remain on student level.
  15. Is your rig packed and assembled by a human? So what is your next move?
  16. You'd better read this: The Stall By Brian Germain
  17. No. Flare is minimizing vertical descent and than minimizing horizontal speed before touch down. You should fly your wing as long as it is possible.
  18. Hehe. How do you know that? Because someone has told so? You dont have to stall a canopy to land it soft.
  19. Having a size 150 is quite usual in Europe for an average sized person.
  20. Hussss! Don't tell him too much. He is going to get confused again!
  21. Thanks! That made it clear. I have different flaps configuration and bride routing, but its good to know.
  22. Which part was tight? Between the pin and the PC? How can you make it so tight? Mine just sliding out if you pull it. It is not even mentioned in out packing guide for students.
