I've watched LineOverRT.mov from at skydivingmovies.com. Is the lineover always control lines? Would it better the cut the other control line too? He seem to have some problem to fly it strait with a single toggle.

AFAIK it does not depend on the location. I know at least 2 national organizations having this requirement, but the quality of the knife is not specified.
-
Thanks! I got the same error today too.
-
My club is a USPA member and hook knife is a requirement.
-
Really? Just more lines, more ribs and more stitching. (9cell vs 7cell)
-
Do you or don't you need a hook knife for jumping? A cheap plastic one is good by the letter of the requirement. Other question is that good enough for you.....
-
Hi, you need at least a cheap plastic one. Check e.g. paragear's offer for hook knives.

They might do it just once like I did. I got pillow handles on that rig. I did it on the right sequence for the second time.

We have VOR antenna and forest around the landing area. I have not seen or heard anyone messing around. I can ask some older jumpers for stories.

Does it mean that he is Canadian?

Have you ever had a fast malfunction? -
I'm not sure. It can turn into a deadly wrap.

When to repack main after sitting idle..
phoenixlpr replied to reinhart36's topic in Gear and Rigging
Make it simple! If you have any doubt and time: (re)pack it. I consider myself as a faithful packer. None would jump my "best/fast" pack jobs without have faith. -
Do you mean the excess? How about setting your brakes and cocking your PC before handle to the packer? Why do you think, that would be a packers responsibility to take a good care about your rig? Anyway, if you are not satisfied with someone's work just simply do not use it anymore.

Think again. You have started opening about 900m AGL. After 5 seconds you see that you have a bag lock. You speed is over 150 km/h. You have about 15 seconds to bounce. What is your move?
