Some guy from Hiper posted the difference some time ago. He claimed that Nitro is better than Nitron.
-
Cheater! If there is no video it has never happened.
-
What bigway are you talking about? I vote for static line. That's just subterminal(opening) in the beginning.
-
YES! It's in the S I M, look it up...and we always obey the rules! Can you help me out? In which chapter can I find it? Should every one start jumping with round main, because I did?
-
FYI, they don't fly and land the same anyway. Is that your opinion, or just keep on repeating like a parrot, because your heard so? Most of the time I have landed my reserve the place of my choice.
-
I'm sorry you can not fall as fast/slow any paper thing can. There is a thing called skyball, a tennis ball sized of thing filled with lead. You can tune that with your freefall speed. The bad news is that you might not be allowed to use it everywhere. You might train your canopy/CRW skill with a paper streamer under canopy.

Anybody here jumped with the VX-39

So how was your landing with that handkerchief? How does it compare with your Hornet load over 2.0? I'd like to know. -

How can you ask that? How can a wonder like Doug( the)H(ead) lie? He might substitute the reality with his own. -
Wow! Great job!
-
Do they have to suck, because we did before? I can not see any reason to buy a low-cf canopy as a first main except he/she starting with accuracy or really broke.
-
??? Paper streamer can be good only under canopy. Is that the thing you want to have?
-
Wow! Closing to the right track

Sure! Sell it right away. How can you have something uncool and outdated stuff? You have to be cool! Its fashion not flying... That's not what she's getting at. If PD canopies are what the "in crowd" is jumping at er DZ, then she might have trouble getting a good price for another brand. You've been beating up on newbies lately, why don't you just knock it off, or go pick a fight with a cop or something ? I have my opinion. Try to argue with that. Please don't take it personal. Keep on topic. Her problem is herself and not the canopy. Why would it better now, taking advice from strangers again, if it was not working before?

Sure! Sell it right away. How can you have something uncool and outdated stuff? You have to be cool! Its fashion not flying... Ask camera flier what have they jumped before that hot shit! I fly a Pilot with WS. Pilot is perfect for anything and everything, but swooping. Ok my WL is 1.4+ on my.

I think even smaller number and frequent owner changes can yield to lots of complains. I've read this kind of opinions too. I still think that the Cobalt is an awesome design and choosing it was a perfect choice for the first elliptical. I have demod a Vison 132, meanwhile my Cobalt was coming. That Vision felt like a wild ride and less stable, lot more over steer. I was really surprised after having my first jump. It felt like an extension of my body and I'm still getting surprised of the high amount of bottom end flare.

Why do you think? Slider placement can effect opening, but folding the "ears" ??? You throw the ball od textile into the chaos of winds.
-
I was jumping where winds where max10 m/s min 3m/s. I know plenty of people refuse to jump in these conditions.
-
Wow! Can you nail 90 degree landing every time in place, consistently? I'm still not having more rotation, than 90 degrees and I'm still not satisfied.
-
Is it going to be your first flight? Do not expect to much performance with the first flight, do not to go too far. Try to make slow 90 degree turn. You might loose more altitude with a 180 U turn and even might be instable. Have fun!
-
What is the DOM of yours? I can check mine tomorrow.
-
It could be. I'm feeling lucky.

Thumb tangled in brake line - stupid newbie trick
phoenixlpr replied to GLIDEANGLE's topic in Safety and Training
Have you ever tried to land on rears? -
My guess would be the control lines(2) and D-lines (2x4). We always gather 10 lines in the middle in flat packing. I remember 2 of them are connected to the slider stop on the stabilizers.
-
There are plenty of X vs Y, just search for that. If you think about swooping I'd drop Pilot out of the picture. Making a 90 degree FR landing from 80-90 is a bit sick. Pilot is trimmed really flat.
