Bryan Burke - SDAZ 270 Policy notes
phoenixlpr replied to billvon's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
So if you don't like to policy just go to some other place. -
do you flat pack or pro pack and why ??
phoenixlpr replied to gravitywhore's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Sure, if you only have a hammer in your toolbox everything start slook like a nail. Recommending pro-pack does not mean that they do not recommend flat pack. You may find canopies easier to flat pack, because of the size. -
Transition from rear risers to toggles
phoenixlpr replied to phoenixlpr's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Easy to say. I have Type 8 risers and front risers loops made it really stiff, its really hard to pull the slider through and down. Other thing is my slider is not so wide, so It won't stay behind my neck/helmet. My other gear should be ready soon and I have better chances with that. Thanks for your opinion! -

If you do not practice or teach that is abandoning. -

Wow! Just a little boy who's favorite toy has been seized. Notice they want to keep you alive. -

They want to stay in business. A dead skydiver is not good for their business, more are even worst. -

If it has happened several times why is that a question that it can even happen? -

Guns has nothing to do with 270 setups. FYI you may have a handgun legally even in Europe if you comply certain rules. I'd rather compare 270 setup with the aggressive driving pattern of some motobike owners. You may drive your 1000cc speed bike like in the book or overtake like nuts and drive between the standing lane of cars. -

Check statistics! If there is more handguns around, lot more is used for crime. See Bowling for Colombine. Bad, bad example! -

It has nothing to do with guns. Really bad exmaple! Swooping is not a crime, bad ass flying is. -
Negative. H/C is usually designed for 2(3) size of main canopy. So if your designed for 220, it might hold a 200-210 safely or a 240 quite tightly. If you want to go lower you have get a new H/C.

Wings wrapping around reserve - possible or not?
phoenixlpr replied to mccordia's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Was it a terminal opening or from cut away? My guess for slow opening is the low vertical speed. -
That remind me about the joke of the Sc...., eh cheap people, they use both sides of the toilet paper.

It is not yet another skydive. If it goes bad it can be really bad. I think its depends on the suit too. I've flown PF Phantom only. It has a damn wide leg stand, wider than BM suits I have tried. I had 64 seconds for my first jump with loose wings and inefficient position and 1500m opening, but it was flying still stable. Suits can be better. safer, but things still can go bad.

Sure. And what to do with that 1000 km?

So easy to say! I'm a lonely bird here .

Transition from rear risers to toggles
phoenixlpr replied to phoenixlpr's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Thanks for all! So I've landed twice with mostly in rears without injury, one more section of Billvon's list is done. I hope and can step to the next level. Use it when it can be used. -
Why would it help for hard openings? I'd rather use different nose/slider placement.

Convert HDV (wmv) 1440 x 1080 with DivX

I hope you know what you are asking. FYI codes usually have limitations. -
I was wondering to get one when I was looking for a main. I have read the manual and that turned me back.

Transition from rear risers to toggles
phoenixlpr replied to phoenixlpr's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Thanks for the warning. I'd like to learn land with rears, but I don't like to run like hell. I'm not a road-runner. I was playing with rears and rear riser stalls before. -
It might not be popular in US. Have you demod one? Why have you picked that?
