  1. I do a lot of 4 way in El Paso out of the 182 and we have a pretty good system. We launch a meeker as the first point. It has to be the most solid exit. It is on the dive pools, but we do it backwards from the picture. 1. Guy all the way out keeps left foot on step and hands on strut. Grabs guy in the V's left leg grip immediately after exit. Always is looking to the center. 2. Guy in the V (back to wind) has Left arm of the guy on the step and left leg grip of the guy in the door with right hand. Both or only left foot on step. Right foot cocked up on strut to push off on exit. 3. Guy in door has left leg of the guy on the step with left hand. Right leg on step and left leg cocked back in the plane tp push out. Look toward the center. 4. Guy on step gives count (UP, DOWN, OUT) has left arm grip of guy in the V. Immediately after exit has left leg grip of guy all the way out with right hand. Sounds complicated, but it really isn't. One thing though, be sure to exit at a 45 degree angle. This way, the guy in the door won't hit the side of the plane. Clint D-24352
  2. Hey is the Helicopter still happening? I am going to bring some people from Aggieland to jump it. Does anyone know what time it will start loads, how many it will do, what altitude, etc.? Thanks. Clint D-24352
  3. I've been wanting to talk to Todd about DEMO's for a while now. Tandem or not, they would be great for business and fun as hell. I miss doing DEMO's in El Paso and would love to get some going around College Station, Huntsville, etc. Clint D-24352
  4. I also used a mirror to check for the light on the camera I first used. It was a smart thing to do. I am also comfortable enough with the controls to where I can do that and just use the cam eye light, but there is really no place to hide the cam eye unit in the helmet. It is a Bonehead Optik and space is pretty limited. I will try removing some padding. Thanks. Clint D-24352
  5. Cool. Please post some pictures when you get a chance. I also thought about putting the cam eye 2 in the audible indent, but I really would like to use my audible. I just can't stand the thing pushing against my head. Has yours ever gotten snagged or knocked since its been where you put it? Clint D-24352
  6. I think it was 100 seconds from 22,500 ft. at Eloy holiday boogie 3 years ago. I did a 3 way RW dive wearing an RW suit opening around 3,000. I can't recall the exact numbers because it was my friends Pro-Track. Clint D-24352
  7. Not at my DZ. If you can pack it and you can hack it, you can jump it. I don't mind the cold so much in freefall, but I hate when my hands are too cold to pick up my micro lines after landing. I also like how we can put 5 jumpers in the cessna when it is colder. Clint D-24352
  8. 1st load at Quincy in 2000. We jumped Mullin's King Air and had a bad spot (probably because we were first out) on the sunset load. I was lucky, and did not have to jump over any barbwire fences on the way back to the airport. My dad on the other hand was a little pissed. For a second there when I knew I was going to land out, I thought about landing in the median of the divided highway, but figured that would cause a wreck. Clint D-24352
  9. Haha. That is where you are wrong. We were having all this fun in rememberence of you. Anyway, how are you doing? I didn't get a chance to say bye. So . . . . . bye. Have fun, be safe, and take care. Keep in touch. Clint D-24352
  10. No, I am talking about the back of the Cam Eye. The part that is inside the helmet opposite from the red button. That part is too bulky and is pushing into my head. Is there a way to reduce the size? I.E. take off the casing and tape over it? I could have sworn I have seen a way to do this on the internet somewhere.
  11. My Cam Eye II is mounted on the right side of my Optik and it is really uncomfortable when the helmet is on and tight. The Cam Eye is sunk into the shell maybe a little too much and the main part of the unit is pushing really hard against the side of my head into my temple. Anyway, it is really annoying and I have only jumped the thing twice. So, my question is. Can I take off the cam eye backing and make the unit a little more flat? Or, where should I move the unit? I saw instructions a while ago on the internet telling how to take the backing off, but I can't find the site. This really isn't what I want to do, so any advice would be appreciated.
  12. That was a fun day. I am glad I was out there to get the bonus of jumping the Otter when only expecting the Cessna. Anyway, atleast you did your downwinder at a cool DZ like Aggieland. I did my first downwinder at Quincy in 2000 and the people who saw it were not as nice. Well, good thing it came out ok and all you had to worry about was a little mud on the rig. Hope to see you out at Aggieland again. The Beech 99 was flying all day today. Clint D-24352 PS- Make sure you get your rig clean. That thing is really nice. I am jealous.
  13. I was just going to say. The first time I ever saw an African American skydiving was at Quincy in 2000. Even then, he wasn't really jumping. He was on the world record for the largest dirt dive of a freefly jump. Yeah I know. Sounds really gay. They didn't even do the jump, they just DIRT DIVED the jump. This is why I am glad to be a belly flyer. We don't do any unnecessary dirt dives. Clint D-24352
  14. Are they out yet? How much? I am sure they are way fucking overpriced just like everything else HK makes.
  15. Well, it is not a rig, but if you add a "n" between the "i" and the "g" you may find out. I just don't see how that could effect him missing the best boogie around.

  17. Well, I wouldn't know about the ride to altitude. I jumped out of it at 2,000 ft. I am sure it was long and loud though. Clint D-24352
  18. Tom Petty - Free Falling That is all I have to add. However, the song does not really fit with anything I have filmed. I do'nt even think the song has to do with skydiving. It just is cool when it says Freefalling over and over. Clint D-24352
  19. Shit happens. It happened to me at the WFFC in 2000. I only had like 70 jumps, but the reason for the error was because I read the Tetrahedron wrong. Anyway, I got bitched at right after landing by a convention official. It was fun though, everyone was watching me for the time being and I didn't eat it. I learned, and that mistake has helped me since then on landings that were faster than expected. Clint D-24352
  20. Yo Rev, You are the shit. Your pictures rocked!!! Luke Skywalker is just mad that his pics were lame and of the less fortunate women in this world. Anyway, I have a question. Are we really allowed to say FUCK YOU to people on here? If so, I have been missing out. I have really wanted to say that to a lot of people. Thanks and Amen Rev. Clint D-24352
  21. I agree that small rubberbands would be best. However, I don't think there is anything wrong with double stowing lines for the last couple stows. If they are extremely tight, that could be a problem, but if you know they will unstow without causing a baglock that is different. It is also not recomended to go over the Max Loading for a canopy. You see that all the time though. Just my opinion. I double some stows when I pack and I have never had a problem. Clint D-24352
  22. Dude, did he die skydiving. . . Uh no, so what does that have to do with approach? I think he had a heart attack, so that means you should keep yourself more healthy. What are you talking about?
  23. You don't necessarily need smaller tube stows. You can always double wrap the stow around the lines. Only do this if you no for sure the stow will come out. Make sure you have someone at your DZ check it and see what they think. I double stow the lines after the first 3 or 4 stows. I have done this for as long as I can remember and I have never had a problem. Clint D-24352
  24. I too have jumped quite a few aircraft. I especially like the Bell 412, DC-6, and the Antonov 2. I think it is one of the biggest biplanes in the world. I jumped it at Paracentrum Texel and did 5 military round jumps out of it. Here is a pic. Clint D-24352
  25. Well, a jump from altitude (10,000 ft sometimes a little higher) out of the Cessna is $18. However, they just got a Beech 99 but I do not know the prices for that yet. It might be around that if not a dollar or so higher, but it is surely worth it. The owners are really nice, caring people and the staff is great. Beer is always on tap and there is a soft carpeted packing area. Ask Dave if you have any other questions. Clint D-24352
