  1. I was just curious. My brother and Shannon Kidd won the freefly comp last year and he wanted to know. Good job and congrats. Clint D-24352
  2. How many points did you guys get total? Clint D-24352
  3. That's because it isn't being done in the states. No one knows.
  4. Hey are Smith and Wesson knives any good? I have one of those in my truck. It is the SWAT version and seems pretty solid. I usually hesitate about buying gun maker products other than there guns. I also use a Spyderco Delica and sometimes carry it clipped onto my Redwing Boot. It is light and durable as hell. I have had it around 8-9 years. Its blade got a little burnt (accidentally got stuck between 2 extension cords, oops) but it still works like a champ. Clint D-24352
  5. The keyword is HOLIDAY or you could say HOLY DAY. Getting rid of Columbus Day would be ok with me, but Christmas? Come on now. That is the day I get half my new skydiving gear. No, seriously, I see your point, but it is a BULL SHIT HOLIDAY. If someone can argue that it isn't go ahead.
  6. I know it is shit. I just would really like some of the uneducated people to know the other side of MLK. I happen to be at a University in which everyone thinks he is a damn hero. Sure he did some good, but so have a lot of other people that don't have there own day. Hell, MLK day is a national holiday and everyone gets school/work off for it. I don't get school off for Presidents day or Veterans day and I respect those holidays.
  7. I know this is a little late, but I don't think there should be a MLK day. The guy was a shit head. Here is a website that I found about him: http://www.martinlutherking.org/ CLICK ON THE PICTURE OF HIM TO GET THE REST OF THE STORY BELOW. ------------------------------------------------------------ FBI: King Bought Sex With SCLC Money The Federal Bureau of Investigation had for many years been aware of Stanley Levison's Communist activities. It was Levison's close association with King that brought about the initial FBI interest in King. Lest you be tempted to believe the controlled media's lie about "racists" in the FBI being out to "get" King, you should be aware that the man most responsible for the FBI's probe of King was Assistant Director William C. Sullivan. Sullivan describes himself as a liberal, and says that initially "I was one hundred per cent for King...because I saw him as an effective and badly needed leader for the Black people in their desire for civil rights." The probe of King not only confirmed their suspicions about King's Communist beliefs and associations, but it also revealed King to be a despicable hypocrite, an immoral degenerate, and a worthless charlatan. According to Assistant Director Sullivan, who had direct access to the surveillance files on King which are denied the American people, King had embezzled or misapplied substantial amounts of money contributed to the "civil rights" movement. King used SCLC funds to pay for liquor, and numerous prostitutes both Black and White, who were brought to his hotel rooms, often two at a time, for drunken sex parties which sometimes lasted for several days. These types of activities were the norm for King's speaking and organizing tours. ------------------------------------------------------------ MORE SHIT LIKE THIS ON THE WEBSITE ------------------------------------------------------------
  8. Hey, where did you get your suit? I was in a fastest man competition at SD Houston back in October and hit 303 mph. We used Pro Tracks supplied by L&B and we mounted them on our cheststrap. I wore shorts and a T-Shirt and hit 303 mph the 1st jump and 298 mph the second jump. I enjoy the thrill a lot and would like to get into it in the future. Clint D-24352
  9. Tim, I'm not an expert on the whole Pro Track thing, but I was in a speed competition at SD Houston back in October and I became kind of interested in speed diving. We used Pro Tracks that were rigged up to a strap that fit on our chest strap. This gave us the best possible reading. We used True Airspeed as the speed setting and and that was about it. My fastest speed was 303 mph which was a personal best for me. I started another thread wondering why people use True Airspeed over Skydiver Airspeed in the General Talk Back forum. All I know is that SAS reads lower than TAS, but I heard that people in Speed Competitions always use TAS. Clint D-24352
  10. I use to use Skydiver Airspeed but switched to True Airspeed. Which setting is more realistic as to what speed you are actually going. I noticed TAS reads higher then SAS. Please explain. Clint D-24352
  11. Was your Pro-Track set on skydiver airspeed or true airspeed? Where was your Pro Track?
  12. I don't know what card thing you are talking about, but you always have to be cautious of what you let fall to the earth no matter how heavy it is. I don't know where you live or anything, but you could get in trouble for things like that. For me, I have let things go over the desert of El Paso and no one will ever know or care. Just some more things to think about.
  13. You really should think twice about doing something like this with 47 jumps. Maybe it will go ok, but there is a shit load of things that can go wrong. A while back my Dad did a banner jump using a broom stick to hold the banner. All went well on the jump, but his piece of crap parafoil had a couple cells blow out on opening (still a safe landable canopy) and he had to do a PLF on landing. He didn't think to ditch the banner/broom stick (especially over the populated area) so he did the PLF and the broom stick poked him in the chest and broke three ribs among other things. $10,000 later after the hospital had there new trauma team play with him and he thought that maybe it wasn't such a great idea. All this happened to him and he had 750 jumps. Just something to think about. John D-24352
  14. I can't believe there is someone with 550 jumps. How did he get that spot? I hope to get on a record some day and would like any info possible. John D-24352
  15. Thanks for all the replies. I appreciate everyones input. Clint D-24352
  16. What are the main causes of water vapor damage to a camera? I have a PC-105 in a D-Box on the side of my helmet and have not yet sealed the lens connection point with gaffers tape. How necessary is this to do, and what are some other tips you all can give me to prolong the life of my camera? Clint D-24352
  17. Here are some more!!! Notice the nice green grass, shining sun and the clear blue sky. Sure it was cold on the first load, but after that it was shorts and a T-Shirt. Clint D-24352
  18. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Here are some pictures I took of my buddy in Texas where you can jump in the winter. I got 4 this past weekend. All on my brand new Sabre 2 135 out of a Eurocopter Twinstar, Twin Otter, and Beech 99. I hope you all enjoy my skydiving pics as opposed to your scenic pics. Clint D-24352
  19. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2953430567&category=20333 This is where I got mine recently and the thing is awesome. No problems at all and everything was brand new. Clint D-24352
  20. Yes they were. Thanks to Brian and whoever else hooked the deal up. I left a little early, but heard the Twinstar broke down. What helicopter replaced it? Any pictures? Clint D-24352
  21. Was it a coast guard helicopter? Clint D-24352
  22. We exited at 6700 ft. and had a blast!!!! Clint D-24352
  23. Yeah, you are right. That would be a good idea. I'll pass that on to some other groups that do 4 way.
  24. Actually with the guys I usually do 4 way with, it is never steep at all. We are really in sync. with each other. When the guy on the step that gives the count says ready, we are, and we all move with him on the count (up, down, out). Are exits never break and the guy in the V never gets dragged out. I know, because I am usually in the V or the door. Also, we are always turning points on the hill and we usually get 12-15 points from 10,000. Clint D-24352
