I'd have your gear shipped. They don't have anything smaller then a 190 or so for gear rental. I may see you over thanksgiving and possibly a weekend in december, but other then those times I am in east Texas. Let me know if you have any other questions. Clint D-24352

Hey there. Aggiedave is right, that would be SD El Paso located in Santa Teresa, NM. That is my home DZ and I can tell you all you need to know. When will you be there? Are you going to be stationed at Ft. Bliss? I've actually jumped onto Bliss for the past 3 years for Armed Forces day. The base is about 25 minutes away from the dropzone. Let me know any other questions you have. Clint D-24352

Sabre 2 all the way. Read up on the info already given, check PDs website and search the forums. I do not like Sabre 1 openings. All my experiences were not good at all. Sabre 2's out perform Sabre 1 in every way. Clint D-24352 PS- I am on my 2nd Sabre 2 and I love it. I had a 150 and I am flying a 135 right now.

How much do you pay to get full altltude
Jethers203 replied to CanuckInUSA's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I was going to say that exact same thing about Eloy. That is a World Class place. I think a new thread should start so this one isn't hijacked. I'm glad there are some other people that feel the same way I do. Clint D-24352 -

You may have kind of touched on this, but I think a good DZ is where the hot shots don't have such a big ego. I can't stand it when a jumper with a lot of jumps acts like he knows it all or is better than everyone else. I think the big ego "I'm better than you" thing is the biggest problem with this sport. Sorry to go off on a different direction from the thread. Clint D-24352 -

$15 at SD Houston to full altitude. That is really good because at my home DZ it is $14 to full altitude (10,000 ft) in a Cessna. For $1 more, I get 3 grand and an Otter to jump out of. The other DZ I jump at is $20 to full alti. Clint D-24352 -
Well, I was just curious. I saw the picture and it was either a factory diver or an Oxygen. I kind of want a top mounted system so I was trying to see if that was an option. I have an A3 and and an Optik and I wanted to know opinions on each for top mounting a D-Box with a PC-105. I currently jump the Optik with the box side mounted. Thanks. Clint D-24352

Has Anyone Top Mounted an Optik with a D-Box????
Jethers203 replied to Jethers203's topic in Photography and Video
I know you can do it, but I have never seen one. If you have done it, post pics and tell me what you like and dislike. Thanks for the info. Clint D-24352 -
Is there a Flat Top conversion for an Oxygen A3??? I saw a picture of one from a distance and I was wondering where you could get one. All help is appreciated. Clint D-24352

Just had an idea, side by side left/right line stows
Jethers203 replied to skydivingdutch's topic in Gear and Rigging
I just split the lines on the last 2 stows. This IMO helps the bag come straight out of your rig. It also keeps everything symetrical as well as keeping the same number of stows. I've done this for years and have never had a problem with it. Clint D-24352 -
This is what happens when you have nothing to do during the days...

HAHA!!! That is my first poll. Boy am I bored. Anyway, I was just wondering about this because I think it is a very smart move by the DZO to do this. It also gives jumpers incentive to get people out to the DZ and jump. As for me, the two DZs I most often go to don't do the FREE jump thing, but I think they should. There is a DZ a little bit more of a drive away that does do it and it just so happens that I have two friends that want to do tandems this weekend. So, I may go there to get something back. Let me know what you all think about this. Clint D-24352

Try Gameknot.com I haven't really tried a lot of chess websites, but it is pretty fun. I actually just got into online games in order to continue in my effort to not study. If you ever want to play, PM me or see if I am on it. My name is Jethers203. Take care. Clint D-24352

I have a Kurupee FF suit made with Talsan. It is a pretty good material, but not as soft as supplex. It also is not as comfortable as supplex on the inside and out. When I wear shorts and a T-Shirt under the suit (which is all the time) it is kind of rough. Don't get me wrong, I love the suit, but it isn't as soft as my RW suit. Also, the sleeves and bottom of the legs on mine (I think it is the Groovy) are really slick material. It works well, but it is unusual compared to other FF suits. All around though, for the price, you won't be able to find a better suit. Clint D-24352

You shouldn't worry too much about the helmet. You looked like you were being shot out of a cannon. Clint D-24352

A lot of really experienced 4 way teams just use audibles and only have one guy with a visual altimieter (other then eyes). They do this because it takes to long to look at an altimeter when cranking 25-30 points in a dive. If I am not mistaken, Airspeed does this. Clint D-24352

I've been there as well. It was almost ten years ago and I am 20, but I remember it. I think it is a great idea to add this HH. Thanks for all that you have done. It really helps me to not study. But, at least I am learning something. Thanks again. Clint D-24352

18 way at SD Houston. 4 way at SD Aggieland. Exit at SD Houston. Clint D-24352

I did the same thing. I went from a TRIATHLON 175 to a SABRE 2 150. It was a nice decent jump in size and I really enjoyed that canopy. I can't really add on to anything already said, but have fun with the SABRE 2. Clint D-24352

This is something that my future father in law sent me. Have fun!!! http://www.ircuser.org/files/beerandweapons.swf Clint D-24352 PS: Could someone make a CLICKY.

No, I know it is funny. I just thought I could share a funny story with everyone here. I will definitely try the cough/foot tap next time. Clint D-24352

I just can't see myself dressing up and taking a picture unless I can jump, so this is what I came up with. The picture was taken at SD Houston last January. I am in front float obviously. Clint D-24352

You are in a public restroom taking your time, quietly going about your business, maybe playing a cell phone game, and someone comes in, not knowing you are there and they shut the light off when they leave? This has happened to me 3 damn times and it is starting to get really annoying. The 1st 2 times were both at the DZ and I was trying to lose some weight so I wouldn't go low on the formation (just a joke) and some punk shuts the light off. Now, it would be cool if there was a window or something, but I was in complete darkness. If it wasn't for the light from my cell phone that I was playing a game on, I would have been screwed. I thought about calling the DZ and asking someone to turn the light on in the Men's bathroom, but that would have just ben awkward. The 3rd time happened today at my University. So I find this nice clean bathroom in an area where noone ever is. Within minutes, the custodian (not even a guy in a guys restroom) comes in and sprays this hideous smelling shit that made me gag and then turned the light off and shut the door. So I was trapped and ready to pass out in complete darkness. All I can say is that it would really suck to be blind and have to use the "facilities". I managed to do it 3 times, but a whole lifetime would be rough. Clint D-24352 PS: To all you people who shut off lights. . . . . That just isn't cool.
