all I can say, is I guess not everyone works like we do here in the U.S.

one of the test jumpers of that canopy asked you what you wanted to know above. why don't you just get your answer straight from him?

Dan, that has to be the best thing I have read on here yet. nice job. -
I just love to see peeps bitch about something but they make no effort to do anything.. this shit is not easy, why don't you try it sometime?

I have jumped a 58, from HIPER, USA. It was fun! put 10 jumps on it. subterminal, and terminal openings were awesome.
-

Are you sure? Could you provide the statistic from last three years, so we see how many canopy collisions happened on big ways? At least the latest one was related to HP turn as well. Well, just look on statistics. the recent fatality's that has sparked this discussion were on a big way... there should not have been any swooping involved... It was a big way. I have, and every single one shows me two parachutes trying to occupy the same place at the same time. and for the most part, it is because ALOT of people are trying to land in the same spot. what is your observation? If it is swooping, I thing your wrong. -
doing a 270 in traffic is stupid. I think everyone can agree on that. but doing a 180 in traffic is even more stupid. you will get away with it as many times you do a 270. but that one time you decide there is too much traffic and you want to abort, it is quite possible your fucked.
-
ok. I don't buy that.
-
if you face people when doing a 180, that means there is traffic and you shouldn't do it.. so what are your outs now? limiting the turn to 180's will not solve the problem.. you can mark my word on that.. if your going to limit it, it needs to be limited to 90's.

I like them both shorty! but you will look good no matter what you do.

BINGO! Why doesn't anyone consider the circumstances around these accidents?? Many people in the air at the same time. Boogies. How about controlling the turns during these large jumps? How about whoever is organizing getting it in the heads of all the participants, who are probably large jump number skydivers, that there will be NO high speed landings on these jumps. You break the rule - you're out. Boogie, lots of new people on the DZ? Same thing. I don't jump at the boogies I go to. there is just too much traffic. I go, hang out, drink a few and meet peeps. -

ok, since you said that I will say this. if you ban big ways, there WILL be LESS canopy collisions. if you have big landing area's there WILL be LESS canopy collisions. If you ban swooping, I seriously doubt there will be less canopy collisions. and if you didn't ban swooping and DID have a larger landing area, where it can be split. then the result would be the same as if you just had a big landing area. I don't think anyone is arguing the fact that you can't do aerobatics in a landing pattern, but to be real, there wouldn't be a problem without the traffic. and there wouldnt be the traffic witrh a bigger landing area. and if you got a small landing area at your DZ, then ban away. -
3.5 is not low. Exactly what I was thinking... thats because we fly small parachutes. 3.5 is where I want to be in the saddle, if I have to go lower, It really bothers me.

3.5 is not low. maybe not to you, but it is to me.
