what size is it? will you send it to me to try? I will swap you my JVX, let you try it while I try out your x-1
-
it wont teach you anything.... it just allows you to be you, and not have any repercussions for it.

THATS MY HAT!!!! lol.. I loaned it out, and said to "make sure you get it back to me" then it was lost.... I said, no worries, it is my majick hat, it will find it's way back to me... THANKS BOB!!!!

I own a JVX 84 and a Velocity 84. I decided to lay the canopies on top of each other to prove or disprove the idea that they were different sizes. see the pics added and check for yourself. you can see the JVX is on the bottom and the Velo is layed on top. it is clear the JVX is larger in size. the right wingtip and the right front of the nose were lined up together. you can see 9 inches extra on the JVX on the left wingtip, at the same time you can see 4 inches extra in the tail... do the math, but I will guess it is about 4-6 square feet different. I assume that this WILL NOT scale in sizes, so your difference may be greater in larger size and smaller in smaller sizes, but this is just a guess.. these pics were taken with my cell phone so they are not so great. I suck at web pages, so forgive the mess when you get there... Pictures

maybe he is pregnant.

there is not a cross braced, or a canopy that has crossbracing that I know of that is suitable for a beginner. do yourself a favor, and make sure your not lying to yourself, before you go to a crossbraced canopy.
-
Canopy control by definition is not swooping

It just takes a different approach. also, of course, you have to understand what your flying.
-
from the 87 to the 90. that is most likely a downsize.
-
you are best off buying used through your rigger. but, a P.D. reserve is a good choice. I own TWO!... and have used on of them a few times.. have it checked out by your rigger, but i'm sure you made a good choice!.
-
I would rather have a pd reserve with 1 deployment if I was buying used. that way I know it works.

the first ghostrider is always the best..

because they made a mistake last time..

Swoopers - could/would you upsize if you had to?
marks replied to skybytch's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
thats a tough question. I think I would just upsize the cross braced canopy. they seem to land better anyway. -
you do look scared.... lol...
-
the 126 will fit in a mirage mx.
-
I have deployed and landed my 106 at a 2.4 wing loading. I am happy to say that that max wingloading for me has gone down to 1.8. that is max, I had alot of lead on. that is using a roughly 220 lbs exit weight. (it took alot of lead to get me there)
-
I don't think wing-loading needs to be covered in a first jump course. Since it really has nothing to do with that first jump and would only serve to confuse people. it usually isnt. but if you want your A license, you better know it. it has to be signed of that you DO know it if you want your A.

I bought it through hans at skydive the farm. he is my local dealer. the price is, well lets just say, the price is worth it.

So, it is official. the new P.D. reserves are out. I just updated my 106 to a 126. soon I will update my tempo 120 to a 143. they are all orange. and my 126 was in stock. so I should have it this weekend.

hahaha.. that is either brave, dedicated, or stupid. but it is still funny,

I watched someone die in that exact same situation. is that enough for ya? I have also seen someone brake their spine, in a situation very similar. except the canopy was a 139.
