Your'e right. By the time they reach 16 they are too old to learn properly. so true, I wish I was that young when I started. -
I am usre someone will spend the time on this one that can explain things alot better than me. but I would like to point this out. It does not matter if your downwind into wind, cross wind. your canopy is still only flying forward into the "relative" wind. so nothing changes.

Can you throw a football, or kick a soccer ball, further into the wind if you throw it or kick it really high? or more of line drive pass or kick? think trajectory. what up stu, you have fun down there in florida? I was changing jobs so I missed it.

just to add to this a bit. if you pop up, downwind, your likely, or at least you should be, out of your rears. as you hit the "apex" "top of the hill" "top of the pop up", get into your toggles, not your rears. then just ride the wind.

Or holding way too long in rears, resulting in having to have a longer toggle stroke to transition from deep rears to toggles. yup, I agree, staying in your rears too long causes this.

if it is just the top skin with sail meaterial, I will guess it will pack like a similar sized cross braced canopy, or slightly bigger. lets say, my guess is it would pack like a 99-107 square foot crossfire.

I think it has to do with having peeps to run the region. if your going to bitch about it, stand up and run a region, I am sure there wouldn't be any problem with that. you can't please everyone, but you can be damn sure someone is going to bitch about something.

thanks dave but im a wuffo when it comes to bikes. so I don't know what feels right and all that geometry stuff. the only bad things I have heard about the Ibex bikes, is not being able to ride them to feel if they are right, because they are a mail order company. BUT, Ibex bikes is about 20 minutes from me and they said if I buy one, I can come pick it up, ride it and if it doesn't feel right within 30 days I could bring it back and get a different one, or get my money back. so those are good things, but I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on how to tell if they are right for you, or if there is a better choice for the money out there.

I need help in choosing a mountain bike. I will be riding some street, also will be riding some hard core rough trails. long down hills and long up hills. and lots and lots of roots and rocks in between. the majority of the time may be on a paved trail, but I want the ability to go big. I was looking at http://www.ibexbikes.com/Stacks/Series_Asta.html was thinking about the 2007 Ibex asta x9, anyone got a better idea for the money?

not a false log in. I have reason to believe] he called skydive arizona with a false name. and he got busted for it. from my understanding, this guy was unreasonable with this purchase.

so, "scott smith" how is the freestyle going? you impersonating someone again. didn't think I would know that did you. you mean to tell me this has been going on since nov. 2005 and your just now complaining? I know jim personally, I called his number and he answered in 2 rings. this is also just after a email conversation I had with him 2 weeks ago. It seems you have already burned the bridges in Arizona by trying to impersonate someone from the USPA. why should we believe you now? just a side note. I have know Jim Vance for over 5 years. probably more like 7-8. he is a down to earth, honest, nice guy. I wouldn't believe for 1 second that he didn't try to make everything right.
