  1. I only like that if it has a fried egg on top.
  2. This song was on the radio on my way to school this morning, and it reminded me of the cheese man. I don't think I've ever heard it on the radio out here, but I recently started picking up a cool station out of San Diego. And now it's been in my head all day . . .
  3. Well, congratulations on finally figuring that out.
  4. I recently made the most awesome apple pear pie, and I decided to try the slice of cheese thing.... And yeah, it was yummy.
  5. I enjoyed watching her speech. She proved to be a good performer. I could do without the "pitbull" attitude though. I think the U.S. is already seen as the pitbull of the world, and I don't think that's a direction we should keep going in. Not much substance, but then that seems to be typical of most political speeches.
  6. Correct. I didn't accuse you of anything. I informed you of what your comment sounded like. Perhaps you could have made it more clear what you were replying to and there would have been no confusion about what you meant.
  7. You tell me. AM I??? That's what it sounded like. There must be something in your ears then No. But from what you were responding to, it sounded like that's what you meant. If it wasn't what you meant, then perhaps you could explain.
  8. So a woman who has already suffered the trauma of rape should be further victimized by being forced to carry the rapist's child for nine months, along with the physical toll that pregnancy takes on a woman's body? I would likely commit suicide before enduring such a sentence. So you would be killing two people instead of just one. Perhaps. But I don't think I'd be able to deal with the emotional trauma of being forced to carry a rapist's child. And anyone who would force me to carry a rapist's child obviously has little regard for my life anyway. I honestly don't know what I would do, and I hope that I never have to find out. But I'm not about to look some woman/girl in the eye and tell her, "Sorry you got raped and ended up pregnant from it, but things happen, and now it's your duty to carry that baby." (Though I suspect that most people who hold your opinion have never actually had to look a woman in the eye and say such a thing.)

  10. I'm not really looking for "excitement" when I decide who to vote for. The VP choices tell me a lot about McCain and Obama, and I'm now pretty sure that I will vote for Obama. I do think Palin was a good choice for McCain as far as helping him to win the election. It pushed some undecided voters (like myself) away, but it will help him to gain others.
  11. I sort of doubt that Obama is turning to dropzone.com to look for statistics, and I doubt that he's going to make "fucking with skydiving" a priority of his. Geez, dude, lay off the caffeine already.
  12. Hey, I've got a better idea. Let's just execute anyone who doesn't live a 100% healthy, risk-free life. That'll get rid of...... well, just about everyone.
  13. Yep. I have four cats, and I'm pretty sure that they are not the slaves in this relationship.

    CERN Rap

Well, I thought that CERN had been in the news so much that people would know what it was about. Oh well, it's not like it was important or anything.
  15. I agree, and I also agree that it doesn't sound like Palin was examined very thoroughly before McCain made his choice. I think it was a desperate move to secure the evangelical vote, without much thought as to whether she was capable of running the country if she has to. (And hypocritical, after using the inexperience thing to bash Obama.)
  16. I understand your opinion, and I don't agree with it. And if you want to resort to acting like this, then I don't care to continue a discussion with you.
  17. Well, it certainly seems to be distracting people from the rest. And the news stories about it seem to be more positive than negative. With quotes like this: . . . I'd say it's not hurting the campaign so far. According to this article, the people of Wasilla already knew about the pregnancy. So if that's true, I'd imagine that Sarah Palin knew about the pregnancy, and I don't know why she'd keep that from McCain when it's something that's obviously going to come out.
  18. Palin is running for Vice President of the United States. In the next two months, people are going to be digging up every bit of dirt they can find about her. It is highly unlikely that she would be able to hide the fact that her teenage daughter is pregnant, so it's better for her to just come right out and say it rather than wait for someone to dig up the story and make it look even more scandalous. Do you think she should have declined the VP candidate slot just to save her daughter a bit of embarrassment? As I've already said, considering the people that McCain is pandering to by choosing Palin as a running mate, I think this will help his campaign rather than hurt it. So I see no reason to think that they didn't know about it before choosing her.
  19. I wouldn't call that a "fact." I don't really see any reason to think that McCain didn't know about the pregnancy. I don't think it's something that will hurt his campaign, so I don't think it would have kept him from picking her as his VP. Actually, it probably helps to ensure the votes of pro-life Christians, which I assume is one of the main groups he was trying to woo by choosing her. How else would it have come out? Do you think they should have just announced it as soon as they announced who the VP candidate was? It's something that really shouldn't be anyone else's business anyway, but they're probably announcing it now since it's going to come out one way or another. (Politics being nasty and all.)
  20. Oh, and BTW, I just looked at the dictionary on Yahoo Reference, and their definition of pro-abortion is pretty much the same as their definition of pro-choice: "Favoring or supporting legalized abortion." So, according to that definition, you would be right that they are the same thing. But I don't agree with the definition. To me, "pro-abortion" seems to imply someone who advocates having abortions as if it's often the best thing to do. I think it's a word that came about from pro-lifers to make pro-choicers seem like they think abortion is a great thing to do, which is usually not the case. And to sort of get back on topic, I hate to hear of 17-year-old girls getting pregnant, but I admire Bristol for choosing to keep the baby. And it sounds like she will have a very supportive family to help her raise the child.
