  1. And of course he'll have the biggest penis of any President in our history.
  2. Here's another picture of that cat: http://www.theworldlink.com/articles/2008/08/24/news/doc48af97d15a6d9290484844.txt
  3. Yes, I have, and that's why we've had talks of pepper spray and such. The dogs in my neighborhood are the type that will just run up and bark, and I haven't really felt like they were about to attack me, but I do realize that it's a possibility. And you're right - even though the owners shouldn't be letting their dogs run loose, obviously some of them are, so it would be wise to carry some sort of protection. So I think I will start carrying a big stick and/or some pepper spray. We've lived in this area for 4-5 years now, and for some reason this has only become a problem in the last six months or so. I'm not sure why that is, but I'm looking into what I can do to get people to start following the rules, since the safety of this neighborhood is one of the reasons I chose to live here.
  4. Yeah, but I would still feel horrible for doing that to a dog when it's not the dog's fault that its owner is being irresponsible. I keep thinking I should say something to the owners when this happens, but I don't know what to day. I'm sure they already realize it's illegal to let their dogs run loose in this area, so until they get a citation (or see their dog get pepper-sprayed, or worse) then I assume they'll just keep doing it. But it's causing me a lot of anxiety that I can't feel safe walking in my own neighborhood, so I need to figure out something to do about it. Obviously, the sound of a gun being fired is a good way to frighten dogs away. I wonder if there is any (legal) way to make such a sound without actually firing a gun?
  5. Funny that you should post that. I'm sitting here right now trying to figure out what I should do about the problem of people letting their dogs go without a leash in our neighborhood, and this police report came up: It's too bad that the other guy was accidentally shot, but why the hell do people think it's OK to let their dogs run loose? I've gotten to where I'm afraid to go for walks in my own neighborhood - where people are supposed to have their dogs on a leash, but they often don't. Many times when I go for a walk, some big-ass dog will come running up to me, stopping about a foot in front of me, barking its head off, while the owner tries to call him back, saying, "Oh, don't worry; he's a nice dog." Yeah, well I really don't want to be the person to get mauled before you realize that your dog isn't so fucking nice. (Sorry, I've been pretty pissed off about this lately.) Rich keeps telling me to carry pepper spray around and spray any dog that does that to me, but I really don't want to hurt some dog just because its owner is careless. So I'm probably going to call the city and find out what can be done. (Any suggestions?) And I pretty much never hear of problems with guns in our area. It's interesting that the rare occasion when someone gets shot happens to be because the shooter was only trying to scare off someone's big-ass dogs that shouldn't have been running loose.
  6. I was tired of looking at him too, so I finally switched over to the Pornfox browser. But now I'm getting tired of looking at Ron Jeremy's Viagra ads.
  7. Awwww, that is so cute!
  8. Yeah, I was almost getting vertigo just from watching that. I'd have a hard time actually going up there..... but I might like it.
  9. Yep, that's how I feel about it. I doubt that the legal drinking age has much to do with who will go on to abuse alcohol or drive drunk, but it only makes sense that if someone is considered an adult in one way (allowed to vote, allowed to join the military, allowed to consent to sex, allowed to serve alcohol, etc.), then they should be considered an adult in every way.
  10. OK, then maybe it is just me. Or maybe Yahoo (which is where I get a lot of my news) is just covering it more than they have in the past. And maybe after about 14 years of using Yahoo, they have finally brainwashed me into paying attention to whatever it is they want me to pay attention to.
  11. So I can't remember the last time that I even knew the Olympics were going on - probably that time when the one iceskater had the other iceskater beaten up. (Was that even the Olympics, or was it something else???) But this year, it seems to be all I'm hearing about. I even get lured into clicking on Yahoo's headlines and reading about the various events taking place, and I even remember one athlete's name (Michael Phelps). Is it just me, or is there something different about these particular Olympic games? Is it because they're being held in Beijing that they're getting more attention? I'm not complaining or anything. But it just occurred to me this morning that I seem to be paying a lot more attention to something I usually have no interest in.
  12. I just meant it's a bit of an oxymoron to combine "enforce the laws against drug use" and "let people live however they want to live." But I doubt that's how you meant for it to sound anyway. Agreed.
  13. Hmm, there is something wrong with this sentence.

    Who to marry

Cool, it's OK for me to kiss my husband!
  15. Yeah, this thread has got me thinking (oh no! ).... I guess I never had any "rules" for dating, but I don't think I ever did much "dating" anyway. I can't recall any time in my life when I was actively looking for someone to be in a relationship with. It seems like most of the relationships I've been in just started out as a friendship, and we might have gone out to do things together but it wasn't necessarily a "date," so it would be hard to say when our "first date" was.
  16. That explains the nightly brown outs in SoCal Region. Mine is solar-powered.
  17. I haven't had a problem with long distance relationships either. But the two serious long distance relationships I was in both resulted in one of us moving to where the other person lived.
  18. I think the media would have a pretty fun time if I decided to run for office.
  19. Well, I haven't really tried using it, but I've gotten a nice surprise a few times when I was carrying it in my pocket. I don't think it can compete with this thing though.
  20. And you were even brave enough to post in there! Now I'm going to reply to your post in there and tell you that you don't know what the hell you're talking about, maybe even imply that you're a Nazi or something, so that you get the true S/C experience.

    CERN Rap

Sorry, I guess I should have put more info. From wikipedia: CERN Rap is a funny song/video that they made to explain a bit about the LHC.
  22. I don't know. Having three bears a day can be pretty dangerous, but it depends on whether you're referring to the Teddy or the Grizzly type.
