The guy who committed the London Bridge knife attacked was subdued by someone with narwal tusk and someone else with a fire extinguisher. It was such a game changer that a gun wasn't involved that they took him down literally with the closest shit hanging on the wall.
-
Well you see, gun ownership and sales are functionally unlimited so all the criminals have guns and so everyone else wants a gun because they don't want to limit how ownership and sales function. Make sense yet?

What do you think are the valid points of the video? -
Yup. I've had a few students who snotted all over me. And to think, I used to not wear a full-face.

John needs a gif of himself flipping the bird as he drives of in his Chitty chitty bang bang car.

It'll definitely feed itself for a while. This is too big of a stage for Trump to not want to get in the middle of the lights, he'll say Trump things and the reactions will echo for days and weeks.
-
I agree with you on the point that people need to be cooperative with those we're getting our information from but THEY DO NEED TO GET IT RIGHT. Trump said various things in his Oval Office briefing that were entirely incorrect and caused people to panic. One was a travel shutdown that had people scrambling to get on flights immediately to get back to the US (This was only partially true as it didn't pertain to US citizens and wasn't going to happen immediately), the other was that the ban would "apply to a tremendous amount of trade and cargo" to Europe and caused stock futures to tumble (This was entirely untrue but Trump's only clarification was via a Tweet).

Note to ryoder, he's going to use the "Look at you guys cheering for X" line somehow when you do.

That's equally as inaccurate. I know doctors who are game for the Wham Bam approach to medicine and if you want lasik I can point you do a guy who does a great job and does as many procedures in a day as you can possibly do. I know way more doctors who want nothing to do with that approach and very specifically limit the number of patients they're willing to see in a day. To say that in the midst of a global human crisis that doctors and humans are interested only in the bang for the buck is ridiculous.
-
Bullshit. Are you really trying to apply one brand to the entire world of healthcare?
-
Do you think that's any different than what the US healthcare system will have to deal with?
-
This was a poor move on her part since no other country has seen this yet. Considering the population of Germany she just said that between 1 and 2 million people are going to die in the course of this outbreak.

That's an important distinction. I'm drawing on a cliche of an example but I have a friend who is a huge Bernie supporter and the way that she speaks makes me think that she expects the President to be some sort of political Jesus, free of all sin and pure in singular purpose. All I want is someone who can provide stability and support our interests going into the next century. Even Trump is capable of that in certain realms and I don't think everything he did was bad. I want Senators and Congressmen doing that super progressive shit because they are closer to the level of their constituents and can feel out what our population is ready for rather than have in shoved down our throats from the top down.

As I understand it it's HARKing to hypothesize that they're going out of business after they already know they're not making any money. So what you're saying is that the golf and mountain bike sectors will see growth. I don't know why mountain greening is an issue. Ok, got all my snark in before 11AM EST today. -
I'd like to think we're in a less contentious time than the year in which a Bobby Kennedy and MLK were assassinated and there was an unwinnable and unpopular war on the line. I don't know what Hubert Humphrey would've done in office but I've rarely heard it said that we were better off with Nixon.

If they do then they fully deserve another four years of Trump and 50 years of a VERY right leaning Supreme Court.
-
At this point it's not necessary for anyone to drop out but I agree that he needs to support Joe and the party he claims to belong to. He's not going to hurt Joe's chances by staying in the race and he can continue to promote his own brand and use that to influence Joe's message going into the Primaries.

Commercial real estate and your wife is a travel agent, right? What's the mystery?
-
And two new conservative SC judges sworn in. For the same reason there are many people who didn't/don't like Bernie Sanders but would vote for him because RGB doesn't have four more years. I wouldn't expect die hard Republicans to vote for anyone but Bloomberg and only then if they didn't care about AR-15s. But Bloomberg is off the ticket so it'll only be centrists and moderates who are sick of Trump who will vote Biden.

What's specifically are they "HARKing"? What you're saying is their record of observations. They seem to be very clear that they learned things from this. -

Great, now every time someone shows you an actual case of the effects of global warming you're going to say it's HARKing? -

Because you can only find these "global food production increases outweighs downsides of global warming" narratives almost exclusively in the denier new media and it's very much agenda driven. Then you attempt to muddy the water by misrepresenting the very point that the article you posted is making that the US and the Midwest took steps to prevent dust bowls which is why we're better situated and in the future may use high tech soil monitoring and robotic soil sampling. That article made no claim that we should now be in the midst of a dust bowl. -

Good news guys, we'll be growing beans in Antarctica in no time at all!
