Best of luck and medicine. We'll keep you and your family in our thoughts.

You're staying holed up, right? You can skip a few church services for a bit.
-
Or can get privacy enough for sex.

Short term economic priorities and long term environmental needs can be at odds with each other.
-
True. They're doing it because the infrastructure doesn't exist and you can't sell cars that can't be charged. The last thing they want to do is put money into a system that takes away business from them so it'll remain specific to their cars. I'd like Big Bad Government (with the help of capitalism) to make that not necessary.

Just like the laws regarding electrical outlets but we call it code.
-
I think it's pretty stupid to not have standardized charging systems.
-
Yeah, that was a quite a ramble.

Energy/Fuel cost for EV's is still below gas at that price. The break even fuel cost is about $1.25-$1.40 / gal.

Brand new Nissan Leaf is $31k. For used vehicles you just need to read up a bit about battery life and condition to evaluate their price but they're in the same range of a car with the same years/miles.

My next car will be either a Chevy Volt or Nissan Leaf. I can do this because I don't drive far and my GF has a car we can use for longer trips. My criteria is that it need to be able to get 100 miles on one charge. It's simply way more economical than a car with an ICE engine.
-
I'd put it functionally at 5 decades max.
-
There's no scenario that doesn't phase our most ICE vehicles. It's just a matter of time.

What the fuck?

That wiki page does show Chloroquine described as "Other names: Chloroquine Phosphate" which to we on the internet forums doesn't help my argument, however it's a compound that becomes toxic at levels barely above pharmaceutical grade doses. One can certainly see the confusion but ingesting something that is labeled as a fish tank cleaner shows a lack of common sense. The fact that they were the only people out of many who own this cleaner is indicative of that common sense.
-
The guy ingested a compound used for cleaning fishtanks called chloroquine phosphate. That's not the same thing as hydroxychloroquine.

He's saying that shale oil can't compete during price drops and the shale oil industry could collapse. With that collapse we're back to needing foreign oil since traditional drilling doesn't have such a cut-off on the lower end, traditional drilling can scale to price much easier. Another issue is that the shale oil market exist on the back of a valuation that many investors are finding it to not meet. This was an issue even before any price drops. It is possible that the shale oil industry may not survive these fluctuations although I think we'll see a bailout.

I can't even imagine the national outrage if Obama had bragged about the ratings his briefings were getting because of a national crisis.

And Mexico is finally agreeing to shut down the border. #TiredOfWinning

It's not like he had a better plan.

If they build a wall I'm just going to fucking vote for Trump in November.

Sounds like we have a new Presidential Medal of Freedom candidate.

There IS a problem with global warming... it stopped in 1998

You know, that didn't even occur to me that he would mean 20,000 years. Rush, our fisheries don't have 20,000 years. -

If it were coming back then the extent would be greater than the average, not less than it. This data point if taken alone or even compared to 2013 could at best be a mark towards a slower rate of loss but not a reversal. There is about a 5 year cycle, see graph below. March is the maximum, September is the minimum. As you can see, both are trending towards decline.
