  1. I might be a bit over qualified given my canopy experience so I will come and BASE with my 105. Memento Audere Semper 903
  2. I know When the weaher gets nice I will demo one. Memento Audere Semper 903
  3. If you did where is your review? Memento Audere Semper 903
  4. I have a swift 5 cell 200 in my CRW reserve container. Make me a deal and let us know Memento Audere Semper 903
  5. Let's face it if it was not for skydiving none of us would be BASE jumping. DZs are a great learning tool. Would you get off a cliff with a brand new wing suit that you have never tried? Come on! I can see the rotten atmosphere around some DZ but not all DZs are created equal... Memento Audere Semper 903
  6. I was probably among the first buyers. I went throgh all the updates. There were still few bugs on the version .21. All the bugs I had on mine were addressed on the .25 according to Alti. One thing, their CS is outstanding. Despite the bugs I would still buy one. Memento Audere Semper 903

It's the dark side my friend. Memento Audere Semper 903
  8. It was more intense than I had expected. Only 60% of us passed without any additional jumps. Read the SIM well, be critical and throughout with your feed-back, and just relax in the air. If you have fun while bing evaluated you'll probably make less mistakes. If you do make one ACKNOWLEDGE it! It is human to make mistakes but it is not acceptable for a coach or any instructor not to be aware of them. Memento Audere Semper 903
  9. As an instructor you should not advocate that It depends on the system I am jumping. With my Prodigy 175 I have no problem getting out at 1000 and toss the PC. If I am jumping my Viper then at 1500 I go for the silver, if I'm close to 2K I toss the PC. Memento Audere Semper 903
  10. Regulate training for HP canopy flight. Regulate WL won't work because the training could still be missing. Also, many skydivers don't have the need to fly HP canopy at high WL. If I want to fly a high performance plane a private license by itself won't do it. I have to show FAA I can do it and I have the proper trainig. Same for a tail-dragger and so forth. Why can't we do the same? You want to fly a HP canopy at 2.6? Cool here is what you have to learn, show that you have learnt it both in theory and practice. There should also be some different training categories like .7-1.0, 1.1-1.3, 1.4-1.7 and over 1.8. The first two could be embeded in the licesing system. It does not seem like rocket science to me. 11. I jump a Wings with open corners for regular jumps. Not a biggy. Also IMO it closes virtually the same. I have a 28" PC and I forgot to order the longer bridle but I will have 2 feet added before I start jumping a wing suit. There are people out there who jump with the three mods (no-corners, 28", 9 feet) on regular non-wing jumps without any problems. And Jason thanks for the reply! Memento Audere Semper 903
  12. Jason, First time I've heard of poor QC for a Wings. Do you mind be a bit more specific? What was sunrise response? Thanks Memento Audere Semper 903
  13. He does not make any good points neither do you. In this case let's get rid of all the regulations, they are bad aren't they. Is skydiving anarchy the answer? If you are trained (forced or not) then at 500 jumps you will be a better canopy pilot than if you are not/were not trained. Also who says tha canopy training has to be stopped at the 500 jump mark? So according to the argument because some people defy regulations (the vast minority by the way) then forget about regulations to begin with. If anybody sees some valid points in jraf's view please let there be light. Memento Audere Semper 903
  14. Tell that to the WFFC about the Pitts. I doubt they are doing anything that is against FAA reg. With that I am not saying I do everything by FAA/USPA book. What I am saying is that some regulations are needed to have some sort of safety in a inheritably unsafe sport. We need to minimize the risks as much as we can. My friend we are an evolving sport hence regulations must evolve as well. Many recognized the problem associated with HP canopies and not enough experience/training. USPA came out with Free Fall regulations when skydivers stared to take longer delays than just S/L or H&P and saw the difficulty in flying your body at terminal velocity. Those for the most part still work and some are being reviewed. The SIM is been up-dated and improved every year. Just look at the new D requirements for instance. Now we have a problem that was not there when people were jumping rounds or big F-111 squares. The problem is relatively new and usually regulations and restrictions are always behind. You are among the very minority in being stubborn about the fact that we do not need additional regulations. You are wrong buddy and many very experienced jumpers (more than you me combined) can testify that. They saw one too many going in or getting fucked up because they were under a 1.6 WL at
  15. You are being regulated. Here is a short list of regulations that you have been exposed to in the skydiving enviroment: As a student: -Ground school -AAD, helmet -120 day repack cycle for reserve done by an FAA rigger -Seat belt -FAA Commercial Pilot -FAA approved aircraft for parachute jumping -FAA anual on aircraft -First jumps with Instructor/s -Graduation day/evaluation/test -If you hold any USPA licences, then written test + air skills eval. Now that you are a licensed skydiver: -Seat belt -All of the above FAA regulation for the aircraft -120 day repack cycle for reserve -Wind restriction other than D lic. wich you don't have -Demo restriction -Regulations to become an instructor (hopefully not!) such as licence/number of jumps/free fall time And the list can go on and on. For being a guy who does not want to be regulated well it seems to me you chose the wrong sport. Memento Audere Semper 903

  17. freeflying: virtually any vertical positions freestyle: it looks kind of "ballet" in the sky... Memento Audere Semper 903
  18. Well, So far we picked a place on the north side. I know angels falls are not far but stil far enough for a week trip. I know they have tours leaving from caracas but they don't take you all way up... Memento Audere Semper 903
  19. Hi guys, My wife and I are organizing a trip to Margarita Island. If any of you know any jumping site there please PM me. Thanks Memento Audere Semper 903
  20. Here we go! Memento Audere Semper 903
  21. dude at 1.6 WL you can't swoop for shit. You need a VX 69. Don't worry about your jump number, you'll be just fine under it. Memento Audere Semper 903
  22. Dude, no helmet can do that! Memento Audere Semper 903
  23. Have you ever tried to skydive with a Snell approved helmet? Memento Audere Semper 903
  24. Dude, are you a pilot? Do you know the skills it takes to take off fully loaded, dump tons of cargo almost all at once, and fly and land with an open door? Not to talk the time the engine goes buy buy during take off... If I suspected the pilot was stoned I would not get on the load and I would call FAA, call me a rat but that it an't right shit. I got nothing against the use of pot but skydiving and especially flying while impaired is as wrong as it gets. Memento Audere Semper 903
  25. What software version do you have? Memento Audere Semper 903
