It's an EVIL canopy man. I used it for the bridge. I'm light though, 155 butt nacked. It performed OK but still evil! Memento Audere Semper 903
  2. Version 2.25 so good so far. I was not able to find any bugs. IMHO the neptune is the best altimeter on the market. Memento Audere Semper 903

    Heel injury

You have probably fractured your heel. It takes longer than any other bone to heal because it is really hard not to load it. My granddad BASEd out of a third floor without a canopy and boke his heal (about twentyfive years back). It took the dude three years to fully recover. Go see an orthopedic get an x-ray and a MRI done. Good luck bro. Memento Audere Semper 903
  7. As JJ said. I don't even know why we bother to have the thing signed. I will count less than toilet paper in a civil suit. It might be used better against a criminal charge but I sill doubt. Oh this was in response to: this Memento Audere Semper 903
  8. Brian, you're funny! I've only jumped the Sam but it was a 120 not a 105. When the weather gets nicer in the evil north-east I'm planning to jump all three again in the 105 range (sam, katana, Xf2). One thing I noticed about the Sam I was jumping is how much steeper than my viper 105 is. It also has a stall point much lower, in term of toggle stroke, than any other canopies I have jumped. By this I mean that it stalled with toggles just passed my shoulders; I did not like that to be honest. It opened very well. Brian, I heard rumors that the Katana is virtually the Sam without airlocks? Could you give us some insigts on that? Memento Audere Semper 903
  9. There you have it! Memento Audere Semper 903
  10. That would be a 265 for your weight Memento Audere Semper 903

  12. Where does it mount on the rig? Does the rig has to be modified? I would love to try one! Memento Audere Semper 903
  13. True story: The dude's me! Memento Audere Semper 903
  14. Pretty fast downsize here. -After student stuff @ 40 jumps a Hornet 150 @ 1.13 - @ 180 jump Viper 135 @ 1.26 -@ about 300 jumps few jumps on 120s jedei, 120 Samurai, and a FX 111 then my current canopy Viper 105 @ 1.6 Memento Audere Semper 903
  15. So you want to upsize from a Sabre2 135 to a Spectre 150? Memento Audere Semper 903
  16. From a non-believer I give you an Amen! Memento Audere Semper 903
  17. There is a simple solution to all this: A brid-man suit Memento Audere Semper 903
  18. As pointed out by MrHixxx, Wings uses type 7 all the way through no need for the extra stitching. As pointed out by MrHixxx, The Mirage has to travel through 4 flaps with its 40 lb spring. the Wings has to travel through 2. Once the p/c has cleared the wings is about 80% f-111 and 20% mesh. The Mirage is about 50/50 of each. So, I like the the actually deployment force of the Wings with more material. Wings with SS option comes with the highest quality hardware on the market and their cable housing are the best ones I've seen so far. I'm waiting to see the new Infinity's ones. What higher quality material? Is your cordura much better than the Wings'? I bet it is made in the same factory! Same for the hardware, PDF? (The good one) So what you are saying here is that a Wings can be seen as a Vector minus all the stitching and the secondary covers! Again the extra stitching is not needed and niether the secondary risers do on a Wings. I really did not know I was jumping a rotten Vector! I must be nuts. So in the end if you are young and crazy jump a Wings. If you are wise jump a G3/G4 and nothing is ever gonna happen to you! While you are in the area visit Sunrise too. Then you can get the best idea. Memento Audere Semper 903
  19. Wings here. Love it. The best CS. I would buy it again in a heart beat. Memento Audere Semper 903
  20. The way I see it Brian is with toggles is almost like putting the flaps on while with rear risers is like pulling back the stick and increasing the angle of attack via the stabilizer. Of course a canopy does not have neither! I agree that a dynamic high speed stall is more likely to occur with abrupt rear risers input than toggles mainly due to the fact that rear risers are much more effective in increasing the angle of attack and that toggles also increase drag more than the risers. Bottom line is that aerodynamics of rigid wings is understood better than the one of a pile of soft fabric! Memento Audere Semper 903
  21. I don't think that is the case. The speed at which the stall occurs will change but the angle of attack remains virtually the same. A reduction is chord given the same surface usually equals less drag. Memento Audere Semper 903
  22. Yeah but probably he was able to climb that antenna much faster than you can ever do Memento Audere Semper 903
  23. A certian brian would go: "But where are the airlocks?" Memento Audere Semper 903
