I got to work today and about a hour later I get a call from my wife. She says "so hey..I got a call from DAVIS hospital..." imediatly I'm thinking O'shit either someone is hurt or maybe there trying to collect for a bill the INS company didnt pay!! and then she says "I'm PREGNANT!!! .................HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yeeeeeehaaaaaaaw!!!!!! We've been trying for 3 months now and this will be our second. So let me say you all besides my boss are the first to know. Yup believe it or not my skydiving family knows before my own parents do I wont be able to call them till morning cause they live in MICH. Any way just thought I'd share with everyone. I guess it did seem kinda wierd one night we where int the PUB and he asked what I did for living and I told him I work with lasers cutting out parts for diff companies and he just happen to work on lasers too only weapon type lasers. Well ok ...who am I to call someone a lier but I guess the true colors came out. The sad thing is I thought he was pretty cool but now ???? I dont know what to think jason

From what I've seen on TV shows about training dogs for bombs ,drugs ,or what ever its more like a game to them! I mean thats how it shows them training. If they find what there looking for they get a treat and or get to paly a tug game wo\ith the trainer. I'm sure the trainer is taking everything very seriously but to the dog its just another day of hide and seek. jason

Milo, i guess when it comes down to it we both have our pionts. You see mine and I can see yours. I do hope your friends are all right and I apoligize for coming down on you. Some of us are just seeing things differenctly than others , not that either are right or wrong just differently. I too hope to get back into the air soon. Probaly not till friday but owell they cant take the sky away!! Buy the way what part of MIch you from ? ever here of LOWELL? thats where I grew up! jason

This incedent has not made me terrified. But the people that are going through it has every right to be! They are not trying to change your lifestyle. there purpose is to take out as many people or things that they can to prove some kind of piont what ever it me be . They didnt come over here to say hey lets fuck up milos life so he cant jump. to me your hole post sounded like a kid that got introuble with his parents, and couldnt go to the party this weekend. So then came out of your room trying to say something noble only to sound nice so you could ask to still go the party!! First off no terrorist is trying to "change" your lifestyle. And second the DZ's will be open when the FAA lifts the ban off. ANd then its up to the DZ to decide when to open. So i doubt anyone here will know if you can jump after work! Personally I could care less if anyone gets to jump after work tomorrow!! God people where are these posts coming from jason

Man I must be a pussy!!!!! All this talk about loading canopies at 1.1 to 1.3 ect....and I'm Flying a PD170 at 1.0 (40 jumps)and still havent learned everything about it! O'well its kept me standing up on some pretty funky crosswinds. People have said its a slow ass canopy but its fast enough for me for now. can even get a little 15-20ft surf outa it if the winds are down! jason

I just started learning to sit fly and only have 40 jumps! started on my 36th jump. From what very little experiance I have at it I've noticed that is is not too difficult to get into the position however once your there you have no refernce as to how straight your falling, so if you can go with an experienced flyer so you can have someone to refer to while dropping! jason

So I have a ??? what if your already dating an instructor and you want to take up skydiving . Do you learn from a diff instructor? And if so then why cant you, if you fell for your first instructor say hey we like each other but we dont want that to influence good or bad vibes with the learning process so maybe I should get a diff instrutor while we'er dating. I guess I just dont see the problem if everyone is professionals. I mean I'm not condoning it or against it I guess I just dont understand the problem. We have a video guy at our DZ that dated a girl through her whole coarse and they'er still togetther with no problems and everybody thinks its cool! jason

man I had that same dream... only I landed the round partially opened and then my chute and free bag was right in front of me. My latest dream was that I was at a DZ and they were hooking jumpers up to the ends of the wings, flying over a tree at about 50ft and drop the jumpers into the tree to learn how to climb out only the plane crashed into the tree and it was all crazy then my little girl came in the room and woke me up! Even though I've had a fare share of skydiving dreams I love every one of them. even if it does scare the shit outa me cause then you wake up and go phew...ony a dream!!! jason

Yee-haa we a have a mighty KING AIR coming to skydive ogden from the 7th-16th!!!! So whos baby is this any one know!! Another new plane to jump from. so far only had a c182, c206 and a super otter!! Anyway heres to altitude. (we usaully only jump between 9500-10000ft so anyhting higher is a great privilage for us here. Or I should say for us that cant afford to travel around for more alt) jason
