you might want to put this in the gear and rigging forum. Theirs a lot of good advice for this kinda topic there. As for buying a container without a main or reserve ....sure go ahead . just make sure you know what size main and reserve your getting so you know if it will fit. jason

I dont know if your talking about a specific team or not but I have heard from people I jump with of a group of jumpers in the mosquite,nev area that are outlaw type jumpers. But from what I heard these guys are I quess A-holes... jumpers that f$ck with you and dont think to much of saftey. Example..tracking along side you and throwing their PC in your face when they deploy. Again dont know quite what your looking for but this is what I'm told. jason

So i have a question,, if jump run is to the north and you find your self to far to the east of the DZ why cant you track back to the west back to the DZ. The way I see it as long as your traking perpendicular to the line whats the problem. everyone else should be to the north or south of you. jason

Get a loan. Just be very carefull if you use a CC. Alot of them say 2.9 or 1.9 interest for the first year, and it sounds all good but if you dont pay it off with in that year it then goes way up or if your just like a day or two late it jumps to like 354656%. You get the picture!! Go through a bank or credit union and get the 7% varible or 10% fixed. it beats 13+% with a CC. Just my thoughts jason

The SIMS specifically state: 3 way or smaller break off @3500 4 way or bigger breakoff @4000 So thats what I go by. However I have been in an 8 way where we were turning (attempting) a point at 4000ft. Very stupid move but I now can see how easy it is to lose alt awarness. Lesson learned!!! jason

Hey winger, I got my ears pierced when I was in the Air Force and I bought these ear inserts that you sick in the hole and they are hallow so you can keep them in and put an earing in when you want or take it out always leaving in the insert. My shop chief told me to take them out and I pulled out the regs and showed him that the regs specifically state NO EARINGS!!! it said nothing about inserts. And sence they were clear you didnt notice them unless you were looking for them. Need less to say I won my case with the chief and left them in. However I think he was also just trying to be cool with the hole thing as long as I didnt go around showing them off in my uniform. You know outa sight outa mind or Dont ask dont tell jason

So back on sept 8th we had a King air come to our DZ, and many jumpers tocome out and play. Throughout the day people kept mentioning about this guy here thats a world class jumper. Well as the day goes on I see the guy and hes been on a couple loads I went up on. Hes really nice and super modest. Any way at the end of the day were all sitting around drinking and B.Sing about the day and start watching vidoes of the days jumps. We watch one of an 8 way in which he is in. The funny thing was that when he came in to dock he went over someone and funneld the whole formation. Everyone got a chuckle outa that and we all kinda picked on him about the world class jumper funneling the formation. He was really good about it though and we all laughed. Hey it happens to everyone. Then one of our JM asked him when was the last time he did any RW, he laughed and said back in AFF!!! So now I get OCT issue of parachitist in the mail and who do I see placing second in the womens freestyle event at the 2001 world games..AXEL ZOUCHMAN(check spelling). He flys camera for his partner! I just thought that was so cool to be able to meet and even be on the same plane with someone like him. Like I said before this guy is a world class champion ( or one away) and you would of never known it by his attitude. One of the nicest guys to be around!! jason A-38658

Besides the USPA I called ZURICH DIRECT and for perfect health 100,000 policy was 119/yr or about 11/month with out skydiving. With skydiving (are you sitting down) 659/yr or about 59/month!!! yeeeooouuuuch!!!! So its out there if you got the extra $$$$ jason

Thats not a good thing!! Our DZ is just on the inside of B airspace so we have to take off IFR and then swith to VFR and we are dropped into a park just outside the Class B airspace. Damn hope I dont wander over to the west to far. we have a F-16 AFB four miles to the south. Can you say sittin duck!! jason

Hey jessi, based on what you said about your landings and depending on how many jumps you have I would buy a PROTEK . I know people with 400+ jumps that still wear them. I domt know how many jumpos you have but if your starting out it would be a great helmut. You said yourself that your landings arent the best yet so why buy a 200$ helmut just to crash in and put a big scratch in . IF your looking to fly cameras right now go for the nice helmut but if your a Loooong way awya form that save your $$ and get the protek. I fly one and have no problems. They may not look as cool but hey whats more cool jumping outa a plane at 120mph or sitting on the sidelines cause you just spent all your $$ on a helmut.
