carry on, although i'd definitely put it in a gear bag now.. once on a SW flight i was talking to the stewardess who had seen my shirt and saw the rig as i was putting it in the overhead bin..during her preflight.. wow! you realize a good portion of your objection is a 'poster-child' for the declining american attention span? there arent really that many characters and nearly all of them are important to one theme or another.. but i do agree PJ took out a great deal of what explained the details in an attempt to make it 'pace' better..he did in all 3 and so turned what is one of the greatest epics in western literature into an excessively long action flick.. now for something completely different.. warning, there are no spoilers here, but reading these will really color the way you think when you see any of the movie trilogy again.. the Very Secret Diaries of LOTR (movie) a quick sample of one i guess someone was equally appalled that PJ (and his casting/makeup crews) really misunderstood the difference between 'fairy' and 'elven' ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

lots..of course the day sun still shines on this side of the world.. 2004 and 33 (a very important number ) and i'm realizing more and more that the path i've been following isnt really making me very happy, even as i'm offered a longer term apon it.. so the question becomes how long do i wait to jump? another lap around the sun? financially it would be best, would set me up rather well to cutaway and seek brighter things else where, more in charge of my own fate..and yet i'm not sure if i want to trade away another year while i wait...to many choices...and the important ones depend more on others than myself..far to easy to continue on if this is the path i'm walking alone...far to easy to cutaway now if she'd just but speak the word and ask...what do i want? the eternal sine, up and down again.. different paths to chose as two can walk where one cannot survive alone.. if you perceive a possible future does your actions or inactions give you the best chance to seize it? the fine line between trying to hard and not trying at all... rambling again..to much time to think in this land of softplaces and few distractions, but also time to focus on myself, my health (or at least my fitness level that had waned in the past 2 years) and the road ahead... my resolution? stop thinking so much.. embrace the void. no intention except to be reaching out to embrace the random reaching out to embrace whatever may come.... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

KBR hasnt made it up here yet either, nor has AFFEES ('we go where you are' lol) ...but the meal this evening was one of the best i've had in/around the military..and its was great fun serving the soldiers, cool to watch their eyes as we filled their plates and told them they could have as much as they wanted of whatever they wanted.. annoyed the mess SGT a bit, but it isnt as if he's going to save the leftovers.... i'm off to my cot soon, i've got a bad case of FPS (fat puppy syndrome) i think i'll sleep well tonight no matter how many mortar rounds we take... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

if someone wants to discuss terrorist activities and its world wide ramifications i'm all for it.. however what he's posting about is not about any attack, its a preposterous claim that the work of these terrorists is in fact inspired and driven by 'the great enemy of our lord'. Do you realize how little that does to address the real issues? if someone wants to claim said terrorist activities are the result of biblical prophesy and we are living in end times ("so all you sinners best repent" implied) i'm certainly not going to sit by and let such drivel stand unchallenged. Far to many people of every faith are laying there lives on the line to stand against such religious extremism and yet because its coming from a christian you expect us to nod complacently and agree?? perhaps you should spend a little time reading some of the garbage put forth as fact by those like Chuteless who have repeatedly over the last two thousand years said the exact same thing and been proven equally wrong.... tell me do you think anyone who believes that "we are living in end times" is going to come out and admit that perhaps they were wrong and therefore perhaps some of the basic assertions of their religion are equally wrong when the 'appointed hour' passes?? please.. he is free to speak, i'm not stopping him, but i'm certainly not going to let such ridiculous assertions stand unchallenged. If you guys just do a little reading, you'll find this guy has bigger balls than most of us will ever have. He deserves to be treated with some respect, even if you don't agree with his views. when he starts talking about skydiving I'll gladly remain quiet and show him the respect due his great achievements, as long as he spouts this continual 'end of days' prophetic BS. there are an amazing number of religious scholars that completely disagree with you but of course you'll argue that their faith just isnt strong enough despite archeological evidence that backs it. It helps when you look for outside sources of confirmation..one wonders if you’ve ever even tried?? It helps if you go looking for answers with preconceptions, you’ll find the answers you seek everytime, its far to easy to accept what fits and ignore any evidence to the contrary.. to bad ignorance isnt painful... for that at least you have my respect.
