actually there is "i enjoy it." ps i dont smoke...really, but i did have several cuban cigars while i was here..(cant indulge in much else in Iraq so..) and they were rather tasty..i wont make it habit, but it made a few moments better while it lasted.. the cost/benefit comparision is only something a person can decide for them selves...this applies to everything..drugs, alcohol, rich/fattening foods, and gasp even skydiving.. so it might kill you....so will lots of other things.. personally i dont mind smoke or smokers that much..occasionally its annoying, and i wouldnt want to smell like that all the time, so..i chose not to..if someone is annoying me, i can always go elsewhere or ask them to stop...its really not that difficult.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

you know them have seen them all around and perhaps even let them feed off you on occasion unwittingly and willingly.. dead beat in laws, siblings who cannot find life for themselves, husbands, wives and girlfriend, who use you, draining you like a DC battery where current only flows in one direction....why cant the world be AC? now i've been played for a fool...given far to much to those and 'let it ride' hoping wishing the veil would lift from their eyes..and now one of my oldest closest friends feeds on the carcass of my last relationship, i should have seen it before...the signs were all there... hes NEVER pursued a woman on his own. honestly, and all condolences to dave and the other families involved, as with any other thread, if they dont like it, they dont have to read it.. there are a great many valid points about the cultural stupidity leading to that tragedy. it matters not that we know those involved. thats cool, i'm not trying to be intentional contrary, its just something that every parent should decide for themselves. Unfortunately I can easily see him being raked of the public cools for being a 'bad parent' for this incident by those who have no real understanding of the actual risk level, and or are simply appalled that he would allow his kid to take risks they would not... back to the personal responsibility issue from the 'ephedra' thread, (or more specifically 'kids from the 50,60,70's' thread.. American society has become (IMO) far to invasive and overprotective in the daily lives of its citizens and their families...of course the question might be: Is this a result of parents becoming less involved?
