oh i'm not saying that will even qualify you for the regional track and feild events..i'm wondering why a male is expected to be significantly closer to an 'olympic standard' than a female of the same age? there is no where near the same gap in genders at the elite level why is there at the high end of the military scale? i ran with several females who were on the army track and field team who smoked me easily but it still annoys me that they earned a higher score for less effort. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

live performances only happen once..anyone can be good in the studio with infinite redubs..but not everyone can pull it off live... its all about catching the moment, but your right some big name acts just do cookie cutter performances every single night.... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

you 'sell yourself' to your employer everyday. Do you find your work degrading? the human body is a thing of beauty, and beauty should be shared particularly the physical kind that is so fleeting for us all... if you havent looked at the photos linked you dont have a basis for an opinion, none are even remotely pornographic, but even if they were its all up to the individual and if they feel they are being adequately compesated for whatever it is they do just dont pretend you arent selling yourself everyday... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. -
science is greatly involved in any serious environmental issue/studies, perhaps you should look at the credentials of the serious practitioner, most have better educations than he does... all he's doing is stereotyping environmentalists and the growing movement to live cleaner as neu-vu hippy airheads with an idealized solution to all the worlds problems.. its a perfect example of a strawman argument, I don’t discount anything he has to say, but his basic assertion is fundamentally flawed. the point of view he expresses in this speech is just as limited and unrealistic as the one he is attempting to portray by rhetoric, and unfortunately recently commercialized by corporations seeking a new niche market no matter what their actual business practices..but of course he doesn’t speak of the corporate attempt to change their image, he instead paints the whole with a brush that only represents the sheep who follow whatever trend is cool, be it the current environmentalist movement, grunge, or shirts with alligators. None of which a religion makes… ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

there is still a problem with the standard for the rank and file what possible justification can there be for expecting a male to be closer to an olympic run standard than a female? i need to dig our the charts again, but anyone who wants to can double the current olympic 1 mile time for males and females and then compare that to the time/score on the standard army PT test. now tell me why there is such a variance? and both soldiers are using that score for promotion points. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

classic example of a strawman dissertation...some of what he says is reasonable correct, however there are so many fallacies inherent in the text its difficult to separate where he leaves reality and ventures into the exact fantasy land (on the opposing side) he is attempting to point out. Any one who doesnt think we arent destroying the diversity as we overrun the planet in a aptly compared viral manner should go count tigers sometime, and realize that your children will never see one in the wild, and if you don’t understand the sadness in that fact your missing much of the point in life itself… it isnt about a 'return to some fictional eden' its about reaching balance with your environment, something we are so far away from the scale is nearly broken.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

no. particularly when (by army run times) an 18 year old male is expected to be far closer to an olympic level 1 mile time (x2 for standard 2 mile test) to max the run 'standard' than a 18 year old female. Yet both scores are counted on the same scale for promotion points. wonders if it is nessesary to point out the oxymoron in the idea of "different standard" ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

I didnt mind it so much.. but I so didnt expect a horor flick.. I though I was gonna see a sci fi movie, and then WHAM... sideswiped by gore.... Not a big fan of the genre, but was OK with it... That was alright, not exactly scary though. They could have spent more time on the story and less on the gore, as you say. I bought Solaris on DVD a few weeks ago (ok, so I'm slow) expecting a lil sci-fi movie and it wasnt exactly that. Odd, and kinda dissapointing, but ok in itself. its a classic haunted house movie with a sci-fi setting..it could have used a little more gore actually and better pacing but otherwise I thought it was pretty well done..nice tone good acting for that kind of movie and some rather spooky sets.. the problem is ussually that the people that make the adverts dont understand the target audience..lately they seem to spoil the best bits.. recent worst? Underworld.. that was a trite piece of plageristic regergitated shit, no matter how hot she was in those pants... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

love them..have 2 sets, but since one is a shakespearean set the poetry seems rather dark most of the time (then again it could just be me) but they are great fun when your hammered and dont remember playing with them till the next morning... lanquid red goddess her eyes piercing souls a cruel knife or my favorite 2 word poem that seems to reappear often from several different peoples hands.. blow puppy used to have a website that updated the latest 'fridge compositions' every day...need to get off my ass and start another since i've got so much spare time lately... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

interesting how courts can continually ignore "life, liberty and pursuit of happiness"..and here i thought they were 'self evident' i guess liberty and happiness must be rather narrowly defined for every american .. but IMHO that is exactly what implies "providing it hurts no one elses or their rights to the same and they want to, let them" ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

I hate people clapping/talking etc and so generally avoid the crowded times for exactly that reason..once i get the home theater set up i'll have no reason to go out for movies ever again, i'll invite those i want to see it with and we can have the experience the way the director intended without all the idiots interuptions..supension of disbelief is a rather important part of the theater atmosphere and its just continually broken by those with no respect for others around them... your kidding right?? wow dude you need to buy the series for yourself for Xmas..the movies have been pretty good thus far (wont se RotK for a few weeks here) but i'd wouldnt give up the images and scenes the book created in my young mind for anything...i feel sorry for those who will now have hollywoods enforced (no matter how well done) influencing the creation between them and one of the wests greatest fantasy writers.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

dont get me wrong..i certainly wouldnt want to live here (not any time soon at least) and a good portion of Baghdad IS a hellhole...i've never seen/tasted nastier air in my life..but out in the countryside this place is incredible, its amazing to see the change water makes around here, (and a good portion of the country once had far more water than it does since Saddam) but even the deep deserts are amazing at the right time of day/night. i've seen some of the best sun/moon sets/rises of my life out here in the last month and I've been all over the world several times.. still i wouldnt want to trade places with any Iraqi, but hopefully their children will have better lives as a result of this mess....even if the reasons we started it were rather fucked up and indistinct in the first place... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

one wonders where you get your assumptions from?? i've only been slightly more than a month now, but my experience (and that of the soldiers i talk to daily) is that the 'average' Iraqi is pretty damn excited that we are here and that Saddam is verifiably gone..sure they're pissed that things aren’t improving quickly, and that they arent really controlling their own fate (pretty much the same bitches anyone in their place would have) however most were 'sitting the fence' to see how things fell out. The US didnt do much to garner trust with its previous lack of support to anti-saddam rebels so the 'average' Iraqi isnt sticking his neck out when it could easily be chopped off after we left and he reemerges.. Saddams capture wont matter one bit to the hardcore extremists, but it makes a huge difference to the average citizen who really just wants to be left alone to raise their children without fear of ANYONE kicking in their doors at night and dragging them off, the more assurances they have that things wont return to the way they were, the more likely they are to tell the next blackmask who wants to hide 10 RPGs 'Not in my back yard!' btw.. the celebrations are still going on and more people are cheering when the soldiers drive by on patrol than ever before... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
