It doesn't. It helps them get elected because (and I swear to god this is the truth), some people vote for candidates based on how they look. Yes, people ARE that stupid. well it is a popularity contest, and since we let anyone who has been breathing long enough vote, what do you expect?? should we let every passenger decide who flies the plane? based solely on personal opinions, not on any actual understanding about how the plane flies or the qualifications of the each perspective pilot... just pick the one with the best face, voice and (most importantly) promotional team on a somewhat related note, do you think music has gotten better since the proliferation of video? of course not..the sound doesn’t matter its all about the look…. appearance is everything in the modern world, no matter how much anyone wishes to pretend otherwise...style and perception over substance every time, in quick, persuasive, easily digestible sound bites so the public doesnt have to stop chewing the cud or notice the fences they are being herded thru... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

they are both rather easy once you relax and accept that your simply falling in a controlled manner.. (you know how to do that right??) i just started skiing again on a whim and i'd have to say i'm having WAAAAAY more fun (some of it is conditions here to...icy slopes are easier on skiers...) than i have had snowboarding the last two seasons..i think its just the change, but go with whatever the people your with are doing...then mix it up next time... ps... on the sick, cold & wet part? there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing....there is really no excuse for being wet and cold on a single day outing..if your spending a few days or weeks on the snow misery will creep in, but simply playing on the slopes all you should get is sweaty.... get good gear and you'll see why some people LOVE the snow...they were properly prepared... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

absolutely a significant (but unfortunately ultimately ineffective) portion of my income goes here the majority of the human population i have little use or sympathy for, most refuse to accept basic responsibility or even recognize that their actions have consequences to more than just the simple life paths they never raise their heads above. the sad fact is that a child born today will never have the chance to see a tiger in the wild...and until you hear the sub vocal growl of warning in an open field with no bars between you and what is arguably natures most beautiful predator, you will never meet the shivering monkey that modern man has tried to pretend he isnt anymore... most people will never see how much reality they’ve lost without ever knowing it existed..…. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

I know what you mean. It's like this release that keeps ya on an even keel. you wouldnt believe how hard it is to explain that sometimes without being accused of 'your only interested in me for sex...' uh no not by a long shot...but it certainly makes dealing with the stressful, annoying parts of my work day that much easier....particularly when most morning start off soooo well... its amazing the amount of bullshit and aggravation at work i can shrug off and deal with easily when the home and play life is more rewarding....have to find balance somewhere... i guess its easy for some people to forget about the give part of 'give and take' difficulty is tactfully reminding them without setting off wwIII.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
