I did my static line training at this DZ,,,I can tell you that after 1 or 2 unexpected main AAD fires during the freefall progression the student's altitude awareness skills greatly improve. What kind of vehicle would you get if your wife totaled hers?
skydiver604 replied to Anvilbrother's topic in The Bonfire
Last year my wife was in a bad accident in whiteout conditions, rear ended by a subaru station wagon and a gm minivan, her 03 Malibu was a write off. we replaced the malibu with an 04 Impala, comfortable, bigger car, gas mileage is pretty good, runs good on the highway with the 3.8 l v6. we only paid 6000 for the car and we have had no complaints. I would recommend a Malibu or the Impala. Cheers "The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it." - Michelangelo -

looks like a network marketing deal to me,,,the 100 name list on their website is a dead giveaway. I've seen this before,,,PrePaid Legal (which I tried for a couple of months) and my personal favourite Debt Freedom Canada (which a friend of mine worked at for a year, spent a ton of $$$ with no returns) Don't touch it with a 10 foot pole. lmao Six Sigma is a business management strategy originally developed by Motorola, USA in 1986.[1][2] As of 2010[update], it is widely used in many sectors of industry, although its use is not without controversy. Six Sigma seeks to improve the quality of process outputs by identifying and removing the causes of defects (errors) and minimizing variability in manufacturing and business processes.[3] It uses a set of quality management methods, including statistical methods, and creates a special infrastructure of people within the organization ("Black Belts", "Green Belts", etc.) who are experts in these methods.[3] Each Six Sigma project carried out within an organization follows a defined sequence of steps and has quantified financial targets (cost reduction or profit increase). No excuses to be mean to people "just" because you're drunk, You and your mom need to kick him to the curb and allow him to come back only after he's gotten the help he needs, I know its easy to say, but after my wife kicked me out and told me to get help for my mental health issues I got the help I needed (thanks Brian and Ken) I was able to come home, best thing she ever did for me

From the age of 10 till now , (I'm 44) I have suffered thru depression and anxiety attacks brought on by childhood sexual and physical violence. Through the years I have attempted suicide 2x, been through 2 mental health centers, shrinks, talk therapy, hypno therapy, music therapy, art therapy, 3 anti depressant meds, 1 antipschotic med, meditation therapy, I've tried Native North American Healing circles, Native sweats,Native Drumming Ceremonies, I've had therapists refuse to treat me after hearing my story, my bouts of depression would last weeks or months at a time, for a period of about 7 years I had anxiety attacks 3-4 times a week with each attack lasting up to 20 + hours, I've lost count of the number of times I've cut myself to get the anxiety attacks to stop, more than a few trips to the hospital for stitches etc. nothing has worked, meds would give relief for 2-3 weeks then turn me into a zombie,,,,after a 3 week stay in an intensive treatment mental health center I got 2 days of relief. Finally last September I met a healer that does Lifeline and Sensory Evolvement Technique ( SET ) treatment. I went to him once a week for 5 weeks, 2 hours per session, each session focused on a particular anxiety trigger, as that trigger was cured the next one would step up and hit me like a ton of bricks, finally after 5 weeks all my anxiety triggers were wiped out, gone, no relapses, I have not had an anxiety attack since October, even with all the bullshit in dealing with my stepdaughter (who is 19 yrs old and was a major anxiety trigger) over the last month has not triggered an anxiety attack,,,,I still have to deal with life stresses, but who doesn't. Anyone out there suffering from depression, anxiety or PTSD I urged to find a Lifeline / SET practioner and get treated. Feel free to PM with any questions. Muslims Burn Poppies in London, England
skydiver604 replied to skydiver604's topic in Speakers Corner
This is friggin ridiculous http://www.torontosun.com/news/world/2010/11/11/16088711.html A large model of a poppy was burned in protest of the war in Afghanistan and several demonstrators chanted during two minutes of silence in London during Thursday morning Armistice Day ceremonies. A group that calls itself Muslims Against Crusades chanted, "British soldiers burn in hell," and held signs saying, "Islam will dominate" and, "Our dead are in paradise, your dead are in hell." The Remembrance Day protest, near Hyde Park, involved 50 members of the group, the Daily Mail newspaper reported. Another 50 counter-demonstrators were also there. The two groups were separated by police. "We are demonstrating because this day is a day of remembrance to remember every single fallen soldier, including those killed in Afghanistan and Iraq. We find it disgusting that innocent people, innocent children, have been killed in an illegal and unjust war and we are demonstrating against that," Asad Ullah of Muslims Against Crusades said, several media outlets reported. "We want the government to pull the troops out from these countries and to stop interfering in our affairs." On its website, which features photos of children injured or dead, the group called the protest "an emergency demonstration" to "break the silence." In a video message, group member Abu Ubaidah said British soldiers, along with U.S. troops, are involved in assaulting, raping and murdering Muslims. "The general British public, they show their support of the murdering of Muslims, by wearing the poppy," he said. "The two minute silence for the soldiers is a condemnable event and the wearing of the poppy is symbolic of the war against Islam and Muslims, which needs to be condemned. And we will not be silent." Police told the Daily Mail three men were arrested - two for public order offences and one for assaulting an officer. +1 I have to agree with davelepka on this one, the gear was covered by the DZO, it was a staff jump, the load was completed. I see nothing wrong with taking one for the team. If it was me under those circumstances I would say no problem. the more that staff jumpers and fun jumpers can help a DZO make money or at least break even the better it is all around. The DZO will hopefully be appreciative of assistance such as this and maybe hesitate or reduce the financial pain of fun jumpers when it comes time to raise jump rates. We at a situation at the dz I jump at a couple of weeks ago, the door latch on the plane failed and would not keep the door open, there was a mix of tandems with video and fun jumpers on the load. I was asked to hold the door open so everyone could exit, I was also given the option of following the last tandem out, I watched the last tandem exit, didn't like the option of following a tandem out, I didn't feel it was safe, landed with the plane. Got a thank you from the DZO and not charged for the ride. the tandems and fun jumpers were happy, the dz made money,,,didn't bother me at all. I have had great success with Acupuncture coupled with Lifeline healing http://drdarrenweissman.com/ Another healing technique that has recently emerged is Sensory Evolvement Technique. This technique has worked wonders on my anxiety and mental health issues, 4 different major anxieties cured in 4 treatments. The acupuncture and Lifeline technique has been so successful for me that the crunching from a torn / almost severed rotator cuff in my shoulder has been reduced by about 75%, healing has gotten to the point where I probably will not have surgery to repair the tear, "The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it." - Michelangelo
