  1. Talk about perfect timing..... http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2009/news/0910/gallery.economic_recovery/index.html Keep going though because there are several in my office now reading and laughing at your statements...... good times. 2. You're guessing, I'm calling the facts as they are today. I understand you want Obama to fail and the market must fail as well as the rest of America in irder for you to be satisfied, but the market is waaaaaay ahead of schedule, sorry that displeases you. Here's your view of teh market: http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=^DJI Here's mine: http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=%5EDJI#symbol=%5EDJI;range=1y How many said that as the DJIA went from 3500 to 9800 under Clinton and they got out at 5k? 6K? etc. Naw, it had help but to call it inflated as in grossly, don't think so. Really only time can tell. But I appreciate you giving Obama credit for trying to save the country, unless, that is, you want him to fail. Which is always the last to recover. Nor do they reflect guys like me or otehr people who have fallen out of eligibility. No,of course not. Being a dick like Hoover who said, "Tax cuts, my friends" or being a dick like McCain would have done and said, "Tax cuts, my friends" denotes a winner. When will neo-cons ever learn that tax cuts don't help and that affirmative response does? ANSWER: never. How did the GDP flip so very quickly? Luck? How did it flip so very quickly in 33 a year after Hoover trippled the top tax brkt and FDR opened the New Deal? Letting the 'market fix itself' cost 12 mill lives, of cours ethat's teh cost, right? And even then it didn't 'fix itself' until after 2 major tax increases and many other social programs. Clueless........ Due to 1.7B+ in bailouts and stimulus as a result of irresponsibilities Obama inherited. Again, you say we shouldn't do anything and let the market correct, right? Or should we give tax cuts to the rich, considering they are the only ones paying taxes? I do know what I'm talking about, I posted factual data and drew a conclusion. Here's for the est: http://blogs.wsj.com/economics/2009/08/03/getting-stronger-economists-raise-third-quarter-gdp-forecasts/ Oooooow, you better know what the HELL you're talking about. Funny how the principles from your side are full of hot air and demise, the left shwos general success. I bet you don't think it was the GHWB and Ckinton tax increases that pulled us out of the 1990 recession and into the largest growth in history. http://blogs.wsj.com/economics/2009/08/03/getting-stronger-economists-raise-third-quarter-gdp-forecasts/ You sound like a broken record. You act like you are citing fact but the truth is that you now nothing compared to what I do when it comes to the market. Do you think adding a link to yahoo finance at what the dow is currrently at proves anything? Guess what? It doesn't. The market can literally slide off in a day or a month (Oct. 2008 ring a bell) You are generalizing and saying Obama has done all of these great things and its ALL garbage. No I don't want him to fail! That would be horrible for the country and me personally. I do not think the road he is on is the right one and I feel his economics are horrible but I still have "hope" that he will "change". As for the New Deal..... we are still feeling the pain from that piss poor bit of legislation. The market has a cycle and the more you mess with it the more you change that cycle. If we focus on what is good about american business and support it that will help the market NOT throwing money towards failing businesses. projections do mean squat no matter what the WSJ publishes. I am not saying that we are not going to hit that but to use that as a basis of your argument.... wait until the real numbers come out. Some of those same sources have missed on the forcasts of their own companies. It also does not show that Obama has done this... again... give credit to what really happened. American companies tighted their bootstraps and got to work. Yout think I'm full of hot air? You speak in generalities and forcasts and want to credit anything good to your boy but anything bad that is going on is "Bush's fault". Riiiight...... P.s. I am not a Bush or Mcain fan especially economically so you can stop spewing BS like that. 3. haha..... totally Anything good happening I actually credit to our companies doing business how it should be done to stay afloat. 4. You have no idea what you are talking about. The market is oversold right now and will correct.... it's trending down again today and if you look at the charts or the technicals this does not look like it will hold at all. Investors like myself and my investor clients are scared to death because they see all of the indicators. As for the GDP.... that is a inflated number due to the stimulus that did nothing for long term growth just a quick bounce and a lot of it has to do with US companies managing their shit and cutting when they needed to do so which leads me to my next point... jobs. This is going to take a long while. a little FF (fun fact) for you..... the numbers do not even reflect those who picked up part time jobs out of necessitiy but still cannot find full time jobs so its actually worse. I am not blaming anyone for anything in this post but what I will say is that it is delusional to think that Obama has done much of anything..... I do know that the national debt is climbibg at a higher rate than ever before. So before you lay out claims please know what the hell you are talking about first. Oh and "projected" means squat Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. 5. Oh, man. Why? You could have just written in Ron Paul. You are right there as well..... I've never written in anyone but since this last election it is really attractive. I got to the point that Obama and McCain just made me sick... more Obamam but I am a conservative . That being said I live in the KY and no Dem. will win that state so it really didn't matter for me so I decided that I would stick with what I believe in more which is a 3rd party actually making a run. I knew he had no shot so it was more of a stand that I refused to vote for either of the major idiots running. 6. There is an important difference between a Libertarian (i.e. member of the US Libertarian party) and a libertarian. Bob Barr is a complete tool. I lost a lot of faith in the LP when they nominated him. I am fairly interested in seeing what happens with them next time around, as there is now (mostly because of Barr) a fairly vocal "reform the LP" movement within the LP itself. You may be right but I still voted for him over McCain and Obama..... Barr is crazy but I felt better casting my vote for him over the other idiots.... which is sad .... trust me I know. Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. Muff Brother #4382 Dudeist Skydiver #000 www.fundraiseadventure.com
  7. So you really have no point to your rants other than an ASSumption you are making that me as a Libertarian voted GOP...... well I can tell you that's not true in my case. I did vote for Barr. What data do you have to prove your insane claim or are you just another raving mad leftist who cannot stand anyone who does not agree with you? I do get entertained by your posts so please keep them coming. Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. 9. They are not accused of entertainment. The message is different - the main priority of Fox News is to serve the Republican party, and their news coverage is biased significantly enough to the point when they're spreading propaganda, not really reporting the news. My opinion is pretty much the same as Gibbs - a news network, which manipulates the news coverage to deliver some crafted messages, is not really something I would call news network. It is more like The Onion newspaper - which I also read two times a week (I'm a subscriber), and it's always fun, but I doubt anyone would consider them 'real news' - and likely not just because they have a different point of view. Oh so you don't watch news at all then? They ALL do that! If you don't watch some of the more boased and strong personalities... all the networks have them...... Fox has news coverage just like any other news network. Are they biased... sure but so are the other networks who just love to kiss Obama's ass! I would say propaganda is what comes out of Obama's mouth! Despite what I feel though.... free speech and news are a big part of this country. Even if you do think you are the savior... messing with the press will get you burned. Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. 10. Simon.... I see the problem being that if I want to get good at 4 way belly then I can because I have people at my DZ that are really good and actually have a team that competes in 8 way. Any DZ around me has very good belly fliers. Can they take me to the national comp. level? Maybe but I promise that working on my skills with them would get me far enough to start working on the higher level skills through tunnel and coaching. As for freeflying.... there is not much around. I have just over 250 jumps and I am driven to be great at freeflying. I want to do VFS but from day one I started working with a coach. It is hard and I love that about freeflying but not many around can get me to a point in freeflying that I can make it cheap until I need to really get the higher skillset. In belly I could easily do that then start paying for coaching but would already be pretty damn good. I don't know if thats possible with freeflying. I have taken the step to spend the money this season and have 2 tunnel trips planned with my coach this winter. Can everyone do that? That's a lot of money and a lot of hard work from the start. I am not saying one is better than the other but I do know that I can crank out a decent number of good points on my belly but would I be able to do that in VFS... no freakin way. Bottom line... its more work in the beginning, not many people around locally to teach or mentor. So for someone like me to get to that level I have to really get out there and spend the money early on. I am blessed that I can do that but there are quite a few that just cannot do that. I think this makes some content with doing a zoo freefly dive or just campfire and cheese and if they want to compete they can do belly. I really do think its more work in the beginning and there are not many around to help advance someone like me. To get someone you gotta pay. All that being said I hope to be at nationals in a season or two

  12. I doubt you ever got past a novice expectation on your belly (you probably call it the 'deployment position'). So how could I expect you to understand it? There's a whole other level of body control beyond grasping at someone and trying to geek the camera. I have more FF jumps than you have total - and 3x that many RW and competing. Other than the total energy in FF being much higher (higher wind velocities require smaller movements, but also give opportunity for more power to use) I find them to be identical in overall concept - for that matter, I'm a better FFer because of the RW time - and vice versa. It's all just pushing air to make your body do what it takes. If you really want to be a total body pilot, you have to get over this beginner ego thing and learn from everything in the sport. If you want to call that an insult or a slam, that's up to you - most people take that as just good advice. But expect to get slammed when you come over to someone else's house and put down their best. What did you expect? I didn't get in to freeflying until after 150 jumps and I'm glad I did that. I also focused on a lot of RW before that. I am by no means a stud in any respect but I remember talking to my FF coachh and he said you will be glad that you worked so hard at RW early on and encouraged me to still work on it every now and again as it translates into VRW very well and gives me an edge in understand docks and points. FF is what I am focusing my time and money on but I still love RW and I refuse to be a skydiver that cannot fly on their belly well enough to go on a 4 way or 8 way and turn some points. I love FF but I totally agree with you on this! I don't even think someone should be allowed to start FF until at least 100 jumps but that just my .02... what do I know... i don't have many jumps and I have TONS to still learn. 15. So you are drawing a false connect between taxation and spending. Show me a recent president that spent more and taxed more too. Oh yea, you can't, so quit your false premise. You use the budget deficit/surplus as a measure of economic health in one breath and jump down someone's throat when they suggest deficit spending is irresponsible in the next. Your stance on this is rather enigmatic. Do you care if a president runs a deficit? Is it only okay as long as the rich are being taxed "enough" and the budget is primarily social programs? (i.e. a deficit you approve of?) My goal would be to have a responsibly sized budget and a tax code that generates sufficient revenue to support it. Achieving this would probably involve a smaller military than we currently have, not having every social program you desire, and working to simplify the tax code (focus on closing loopholes) to help it generate the revenue it should be generating rather than simply turning the "progressiveness" knob up to 11 because it's "one more social, in'nt it?" +1 but he doesn't want to hear that which is why I said I give up. He would rather tell you why Clinton was great and why Regan sucked even though I would say that while Reagan was in office the economy was pretty solid especially after the Carter years. Do you think our government will ever get to this point? I don't and it's sad Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. 17. The top 20% hold 93% of all cash and 85% of all asset. Yea, just a tad bit, barely noticeable disparity - nice sugar coat. Good, because I don't want to talk morality, it's so subjective. Let's talk economy. Bush was a trainwreck, let's fly past that as we are in agreement. Clinton: - Unemp from 7% to
  18. Oh I know.... the uber rich definitly know what they are doing and I think it is fair for them to pay a bit more. The problem lies with the fact that the middle to upper middle class and how much we are having to pay. I use that term for those making around 100k give or take a few. It is realitive to where you live and I def. feel for you in NJ. 100k there does not go far. lucky... I am not simply throwing up the self righteous president of ours for no reason.... no I didn't like W. or Clinton. I thought they did some things right but a majority of what they did... especially economically was crap. Your opinion is just that... an opinion and you have a right to have one but just like a familiar quote around these parts..... "I could agree with you but then we would both be wrong." Obama getting rid of the tax cuts or letting them lapse is the same thing as raising taxes and at the rate he and those on the hill are spending.... taxes will have to go up even more. It will do no good now though because of the amount that has been spent and the more spending that will occur is putting us into a hole that I fear we will never dig out of..... 19. The problem with your argument is what you are classifying as "rich". A millionaire is one thing... I am another and Obama says I am "rich"! Your argument is full of loaded statements and assumptions.... if you stick to the facts and re-phrase to include those Obama is going to tax the shit out of then you have a different situation. i would argue that my income bracket in the US is responsible for a large percentage of spending in the US along with the charitable giving. So I ask you..... why am I considered rich and why do I have to pay so much in taxes for a bunch of idiots that could not run a 3rd grade talent show effectivly? P.s. I do spend my money in my country. Actually I have always driven an american car! Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. 25. I have one.... I have put 10 jumps on it so its fairly new to me. So far I really like how big the display is and its menu is extensive. It is easy to read and I like it because I wear it underneath my wrist. It seems easier to me to look at it when freeflying and under canopy.... just something I like but the strap is secure without a fingerloop which I love. My last jump yesterday it was reading 200 ft. off down low but I am not sure if it is something that I did. Battery life on it is supposed to be 1.5-2 yrs and you never turn it off. It just kicks in to standby mode by itslef. All and all I am a fan. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask.
