  5. I was listening to a woman give her story about her sister and how she got knocked up at an early age. When she went to the doctor and she was told she could be seen in 10-11 months? This is a Canadian woman and her first hand experience. I have no reason to not believe her story but it is because of this and other stories that really makes me think ... it ain't that grand up north. Health insurance is not a right... I don't get when people started thinking it is? This is the same kind of thought process that has gotten us in trouble in the past. *I know Mr. Smith that you cannot afford to own a home but gosh darn it you deserve to anyway.* come on????? Better yet the choice is taken away from citizens along with there money through taxes. I will never get how this makes sense to anyone..... A persone who is sick has to be treated.... its Federal Law...... so then you owe money..... it sucks but would you rather be dead? 6. I know Brad and Mel! I was down in the tunnel with them this spring in Raeford. I know they are solid freefliers and just may do some jumps with them. 7. +1 and spread your legs.... think solid base. It's what my freefly coach taught me....... be strong, spread the legs, chin up, toes up...... then just feel the air. 8. I have 18 jumps, and im dying to freefly! You are an inspiration! Many are but whether you think you need 50, 100, or more...... I'm sorry at 17 jumps it is flat out a BAD idea. 10. Chrysler may suck but I am loyal to my Jeep (wrangler) I've owned a CJ, YJ, and now a 07' JK and all of them have been great. The YJ and JK are both Chrysler..... I am hearing rumors in the Jeep community that Ford is looking to buy Jeep which would be great although I think it is the only good vehicle Chrysler makes. 11. (SSK had actually been around well before they started selling German electronic gadgets. Their Stewart Sweethog rigs were popular back in the days of 2 pin reserves. First ones were built in '77 according to Poynters. They had their own cartoon pig in the manuals to compete with Bill Booth's cartoon pig!) Yup... NOT SSE.... SSK Steve Stewart who I am happy to say is getting in the air again! :) Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. 12. Actually I believe SSK did start in the 70's they started off making rigs.... now the only focus on Cypres but that is not how it began. 14. TK I get your point of view and I don't like fanatics either..... but to say Fuck em all and stay the Fuck away from me? I'm a Christian and I would respect if you didn't want to talk about it. I am content with you believeing what you do and jumping at your DZ. Maybe I might even get to jump with you one day. Chrisitan or not I still want to have a great time with you and others..... so should I stay the Fuck away or are you refering to the nutters only? 16. Exactly how many people do you know have 75 hop-n-pops during their first 150 jumps? I see your point, but generally speaking, I don't know anyone that would rack up a lot of hop-n-pops at such a low jump number. My guess would be because they're not at a canopy size where swooping is fashionable. Oh I've watched it happen! I do agree getting stable and pulling is the important thing but the other important thing is air awareness and tracking skills. I just do not buy that in 50 to 100 jumps you can build what you need. Just because nothing ever happened to you does not mean you had the air awarness you needed. By the way I was an AFF wonder myself and had my card signed off on in 13 jumps which happenes to be when I had my first chop ;) AS a coach now I just see students that are working through belly stuff and I shudder at the thought of them getting off student status and starting to freefly. 17. Terry I actually had 500+ as an option but took it away thinking so many would think that was silly... I do not necessarily but as you can see by the people that think 50 jumps is enough which I think is CRAZY I'm not sure how many would of looked at that as reasonable. 18. I like that as well........ after all it is the freefall time that matters! 150 jumps with half being hop and pops or exits from 5500 isn't quite the same. 19. I see what you are saying but the tunnel does not teach air awarness and a few other things that are important...... 20. Just curious what everyone thinks. I am of the mind that building air awareness and belly skills is VERY important and think around the 150-200 mark should be a general standard. 21. Yes and at the time SSK and Realtive Workshop def. were top names. Now Steve doesn't make rigs anymore and Cliff runs SSK but they still are taking care of our Cypres' :) I don't know who came up with it but I do know that it was on the oldest sweet hog I have ever opened up. I bet both sides will claim to have thought it up. Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. 22. I really wouldn't consider faith to be a good thing. If you're prepared to believe one far-fetched story about impossible beings with dubious moral values based on circular reasoning, having to explain away the logical incoherencies by invoking "faith" because there is no supporting evidence whatsoever, what else are you likely to believe? It is very reminiscent of a particular mindset known as gullibility, a mindset which can be used to make people say and do all manner of crazy and repugnant things. That is a condition that I think should be eliminated, not encouraged. You may have that opinion and I respect it but I do feel there is factual grounds to my faith but in the end it still comes down to a belief in what I have experienced in my life so that is far from "groundless" and there have been several studies done on the fullness of life and illness that point to faith having a huge positive impact. I thinhk it is crazy for you to think that everything just happened on its own in regards to the earth and life. You seem to negate even the possibility of a creator so is that narrow minded? Again, I have no problem with your beliefs but I am not a nutter, I do NOT force my views on others, I am educated, and a productive member of society so the only issue I have is when people attack the Christian faith and come to the conclusion that faith is a bad thing because many men have done horrible things in the name of their faith but the truth is many men have done horrible things in the name of other issues and unfortunatly as human beings that will always happen. I try to live my life through my actions above all else because I feel that is what God wants of me. If you want to discuss I will but if you don't bring it up I will not really talk about it. I strongly disagree with you about faith though... I think it is an amazing thing! Oh, and the Bible is not far-fetched to me and what is "dubious" about the morals of the Bible? Also it is not based on circular reasoning....... what you deem as logic may not be so. Just because you cannot see it or experience it does not mean it doesn't exist. It would not be very logical to believe that. Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. 25. You've obviously studied the Bible, but I don't think there's a whole lot of biblical scholars that would agree that the stories in Genesis took place in the first century. That's simply not possible when you take into consideration all of the things that supposedly happened between Genesis and the New Testament.
